The Maggiore endurance race is unbelievably hard

This is the next race I want to win, does anyone have any tips/advice in regards to the latest updates?

If I remember properly, the main issue is Rubilar that has after lap 2 or 3 a strong pace and it is very difficult to catch at the end.
I read sometime ago that the solution is to "eliminate" him...
So I did a strong start, immediately overtaken some cars at T1 and others in the slow T2 in a not really gentle way.
Then still in lap 1 I reached Nubilar at the U curve and touched him out of the track...
He remained in the gravel waiting for all the cars passing and he rejoined as last diver and not capable anymore to reduce the gap with me.
I did al this at least 3-4 updated ago... so i don't know if this is still valid...

Good Luck!

The other solution would be using this opportunity to simply become a faster driver.

I did not accept being beaten by an AI this bad and that lead me from my first finish of P14 to beating this race with overlapping the AI.
I dont think there could be any change big enough to make it difficult to win (again), though I do admit I didnt win with the Skyline Silhouette in all my attempts 🤣

Thank you.

I have been looking around and on YT at some videos, everyone seems to use a different car though but with this last update they seem to have got BoP issues so idk if that will impact this race and if there is a certain car that is better to use.

I managed to win this race last weekend, on about my fourth attempt, using the Ferrari, two stops on RM, and no fuel mapping required. No skullduggery involved but a few robust passes early on, if you don’t get in the first few after the first few laps you’ve had it 😂. All gold now on human comedy ☺️.

The Ferrari is far from the meta this week in race B, but it’s very nice to drive. For the Human Comedy race I figure 30 average laps is better than spinning out a couple of times in a ‘faster’ car!

I went in this morning to this race, zero prep just to see how I would get on, went with the 911 and did the strategy most people say is the best, two stops on RM and fueling for eleven laps.

I did pit once by mistake! so three pit-stops in total.

I finished 18th 🙁 I was however catching the other cars towards the end.

I am playing on controller with VR and on auto shifting, I was on easy as well.

I was on easy as well.
Some say, the difficulty settings affects these few events in reverse order.
Though it is supposed to have no effect on races that are marked with their own chilli rating (fixed difficulty).

two stops on RM and fueling for eleven laps.
Why 11 laps?
The fuel counter is very accurate as long as you dont change your driving style too much.
You almost can pinpoint refuel to 10 laps and last the just well enoug, and just for safety you can pull 0.3litres atop.

auto shifting
Thats the only "not ideal" thing ;)
Only a handful of cars are not different between manual and automatic shifting, but for most neither efficiency nor topspeed happen with automatic shifting.

I did wonder about this, I know some of the difficulty settings are reversed (in a way in some of these missions) but couldn't really find anything on this race.

Most guides from recent to old said to use RM and run for eleven laps.

😯 Which cars are better for auto shifting?

Just do 10/10/10 and be fine, precision is key in driving fast, and precise driving makes fuel consumption precise -> less weight -> less tirewear/more speed -> faster finish ;)
Generally you will finish with 30 laps on the counter, 31 laps is possible but usually not in reach for drivers asking for help.

No car is better, but not noticeably worse.
I think for example the McLaren 650 is doing fine in auto transmission mode.

I did this one couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed this one as it was a proper challenge. I tried Peugeot Rcz at first as someone suggested it. It felt quite easy to drive, but I just couldn't do it. I was too slow.

I then tried Mercedes Amg gt.3 20 and my laptimes improved about 2 seconds being average 1.58. It was a fun race. I changed difficulty to hard. I don't know if there was any difference.

I went back to this race today and it was a lot easier than 10 months ago when I won it.

I used the Mazda RX Vision once again. 2 pitstops every 10 laps, medium tires and I won by 20s in front of Miyazono. Rubilar is fast but he pits 3 times. My best lap was 1.56.9. I even had a big spin losing me around 10s.

I have just tried again, I used the Mazda like you and i have seen quite a lot of others using it as well.

Lap 11 I was in 2nd place, I then came into pit new RM and fuel for 10.5 laps, I came out into 20th place, I then caught up to 11th place, either via cars pitting or me overtaking, I then pitted again for RM and fuel for 10 laps, gained more places as before and I kept waiting for more to pit but they never did, I even lapped a couple of cars, however I ended up in 11th place, I was on Easy difficulty.

I thought I was going to do it, I had a few 1:59 laps mostly I was about 2:01 - 2:02 I had one 2s penalty and another 0.5s penalty.

I was surprised at the end to see that I had been lapped

What difficulty did you use?

I think I can go a couple of seconds faster maybe but not down to 1:56 like you 🙁

I was on hard difficulty. I don't think it makes any difference for the missions.

With the update 1.56 have we a car for obtain P1?
Not quite sure what this means. 1.56 didn't add any Gr.3 cars at all, and there were quite a lot of cars that could win this event before 1.56.
Lap 11 I was in 2nd place, I then came into pit new RM
It's, in effect, a 30-lap race. Come in on lap ten rather than going a lap longer on more-worn tyres (due to the heavier car at the start of the race).

(Almost) All of them you can use and start the event (excluding Nissan Skyline Silhouette, I havent yet managed to reach P1 on this car in this race).
Could be the option for use RH and 1 stop (?)

I say this for the changes of the B.o.P affects this race. It's possible?

It is possible, but generally RM and 2 stop is faster.

BOP is the same for the AI as it is for the player, so any change in BOP does not make this race any different
But If any car is more fast with the new B.o.P and other more slow, in the race take the car fast and will be more easy win the race, it's possible?

That is true only for so much as you can make use of any cars potential.
This race requires refueling, so the fastest car might not be the fastest anymore in relation of its fuel consumption vs its acceleration.

I cant recommend any "fastest" car as I have not played the game for a long time now, and having a look at the top10 finishes will likely not help as you dont see how they have driven.
The most important thing for you should be finding the car in which you feel most comfortable and then learning the track well enough to be somewhat consistent but reducing your mistakes close to zero.

Reading all of these smart strategies for beating this race...

...while remembing that I used the Maggiore teleport glitch to beat it myself! 😂
I Did the same on my first account 👀.
Last night I finally got it done (legit) on my second account !

What was your strategy, two stops every ten laps and RM's?

I just had another go back in the 911, pitted the end of lap 9 in second place came out in sixteenth, came in again the end of lap 19 in eighth place came out in fifteenth place, and ended up ninth, and I have been lapped!!!! 😵‍💫

It honestly feels that the leading AI cars are pitting one less time than I am?

I have no idea when I am getting lapped, it can only be when I am in the pits because on the track nobody overtook me that I did not re-overtake, how fast are the leading cars? Rubilar is in view when I make my first pit stop.

I felt like I was going okay again, and after my second stop I was waiting for the cars ahead of me to pit, but only a couple of them did, it is like I pit they overtake me then they pit and come out in front of me!

I don't think I can really lap any faster, I am lapping some cars towards the end of the race, but instead of me averaging 2:00 laps I need to be averaging 1:55 and I honestly don't think I can do that, not for a full hour, I know I am far from the best but this seems impossible to me.

I remember that lapping at 1:58 was already a safe time.
Try another car, choose that one that you feel more comfortable to drive, not the fastest one on the paper.
As you said you need to drive for 1 hour... so choose the nicest one.
Have tried the Circuit Experience before to understand from the demo the best breaking points and the correct trajectory?
In Maggiore circuit there are some point where you need to "cut" some curves in order to be faster in the following straight... otherwise you will be too slow.

However in my case was critical to "eliminate" Nubilar at the first lap (or second) and keep the right pace for al the time.
Sometimes I lapped also to around 2:00 and it was ok at the end.

I only found out about this a few days ago, I wish I had been playing then 🙁

What was your strategy, two stops every ten laps and RM's?
Yes. Two stops on RM's, lap 10 and 20. The first stop was a little faster because I still had fuel left for 4 laps. Do not fill the tank, only take enough fuel to do 10 laps. Same with the second stop. If you can get into P2 (in front of Rubilar) on the first couple of laps that helps a lot. Rubilar's pace is insane but if you can get in front of him you can block/defend to keep him behind you. You have to use every inch of the track and the curbs ! I Was lapping 1,58-1,59s mostly with a fastest lap of 1,57;xxx. I Had a pretty clean race, only one 0,5 second penalty for cutting to much corner over a curb.

I don't think I can really lap any faster,
The question is: which very basic thing are you getting wrong for a full hour long.
There are so many things that can go wrong (without - at first - looking like a driving error).
applying too much steering angle
wrong braking markers
upsetting the car too much with hasty acceleration too early from a turn

In the end, once you have found all of the things to correct, there wouldnt be a big difference between fastest and average lap anymore (optimal lap is a different thing).

From a few updates in the past (v 1.49), this is my yet fastest lap in that event.
There is still room to be faster if it would be a race without pits: I am coasting before braking and short shifting (and there was a small driving error towards the end).
