The Metal ThreadMusic

New Skull Fist out soon. This album sounds awesome.

Also, Malignant Tumour's latest album is pretty good. Their music videos are hilarious:

Who here also loves Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction, Hand Of Mercy, In Hearts Wake, I Killed The Prom Queen?
Loving Aussie Hardcore/Metalcore.

Is it allowed/encouraged to link YouTube videos of the bands for people who want to know what they sound like?

Parkway - Yes. Amity - Yes. Prom Queen - Yes. I'm assuming you've heard of Feed Her To The Sharks because you're an Aussie?

Testament is a hell yes but Megadeth...

:sly:

But I digress, I've found my new favourite angry song!

Megadeth USED to be the ****

Ever since friedman and menza left, the band just doesnt have it anymore. Without them, megadeth is just an average metal band. All the melodies and solos are just...yawn. And i doubt mustaine will ever find an axeslinger better than friedman. Even Poland was in a class of his own.... Mustaines ego really ****s himself over.

Dude Megadeth is the 🤬.

They had the oddball hit in the 90s but the 80s music they put out and some of the new stuff is incredible.

Hello everybody

I am new to gtplanet and just found this thread, really nice :)
My favorites are mostly melodic death metal bands like dark tranquillity, mors principium est, in flames (only albums before reroute to remain) and wintersun.

Edit: forgot to mention insomnium ;)

There is a very alive metal scene in my area and I play music myself. We have a lot of good local bands around here, go to YouTube and listen to my friends "kadavrik - with open wounds in salted seas" very good band :)

Greetings from Germany
Mario

Again, I'll just leave this here. "The Satanist" is absolutely phenomenal.

The recitation in the final two minutes of this song is absolutely perfect; it destroys me every time. This has to be the best 7 minutes in the history of death metal.

Behemoth is back in the game. And they're better than ever.

Got my tickets today for Iced Earth and Sabaton at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland on April 11. Unfortunately, I coudln't make the Amon Amarth/Enslaved/Skeletonwitch show in Pittsburgh this week. But hopefully I'll be hitting up Volbeat and Trivium in May and Megadeth on the Youthanasia 20th Anniversary Tour whenever that kicks off, looking like fall.
