Those SUVs are FWD? Dammit... I thought making a Mondeo FWD was as crap as you could go... although the Mondeo handles pretty nicely, I must say.

I'm not necessarily looking for volume, just overall size.

They aren't SUV's they are Crossover...which is a fancier word for and SUV that's not really an SUV but isn't a minivan either .

Enclaves are bigger than Rendezvous'?

And speaking of Buick... Does this one qualify for the separate-headlights?

Above is not my picture, but there's one next to my house if it counts

They look very separate, and if they count, it's unbeatable - the car is sold at this very moment as a '08 model.

just limit yourselves to adding up the length, width and length

It's still one unit...

Exactly... you'll notice that most newer cars, although appearing to have separate units on the outside, are still one unit on the inside. So get to look for older ones...

You Europeans still have a good contender. The vehicle I'm thinking of is made by an American company. The name starts with a 'T' and ends with a 't,' and can be equipped to be rather large in overall size. Thing is, you have to find the right one...

There is also an italian version that starts with a F and ends in a T :)

Last week...

Least valuable minivan: Gashlycrumb
MR 8+ cyl: Gashlycrumb
AWD 8+ cyl: Gashlycrumb
Most valuable British car: Gashlycrumb

Bonus: Slicks

Nice going, gashly!

Alright, this car definitely has seperate headlamps:

This isn't an entry, but a clarification: would spotlights count? They're standard, from the showroom. The headlights are both main beam and dipped, and the spots are main only.

Good point... I think not... because although they're from the showroom, they aren't standard... some Minis don't have them, so they're like an add on from the dealer, right?

Woot!

I'll post up my choices this Thursday night as I am away for work for a week from Friday.

They're standard for the model of Mini. Of course, taking them off requires a Phillips screwdriver and about 5 minutes, so some will have them, others won't.

Edit: It no longer matters - a friend of mine turned up with his BMW, which has seperate lights.

Slowest Convertible: Chrysler LeBaron 0-60 in 11.3 seconds

or if you aren't going to accept a truck like that how about a 2003 Trans Am instead?

Slowest Convertible:

Yes, the top comes completely off... These GEO Trackers are unbearably slow...

er... Joey, aren't the lower lights in the Trans Am actually fog lights? Great spot on the hideous wing!

Roo: That's exactly the car I was thinking of when I put up the category. Well, that and mid-to-late-70s American cars.

Yssman: If you get the hp and the weight we can figure out the 0-60 time.

Great entries so far. Someone showed me some crappy convertible which is going to be a serious contender, so it seems this'll be close one. 👍

According to Edmunds.com the GEO Tracker has 80 BHP and a curb weight of 2365 lbs (which seems really light) with AWD and the convertible top.

so that's 14,7 seconds...

weight of the car in kilograms
---------------------------
car's hp x 0.9

And I give you the bonus Mazda RX-7:

good job James, but it's not the RX-7, it's a RX-7... you can post as many as you can find, each one counts for one point.

Ohhh, right. Guess that makes sense since it's quite rare.

Here they are popped up, four separate headlights

1. Newest car with 4 headlights
Ford Falcon AUIII XR6 2001 - 2002

2. Biggest rear spoiler
Toyota Supra (was this the car that spawned the huge spoiler fad?)

Powerbuilt Replica Falcon (two in front of the yellow Fiat)

Evo 9

3. Slowest convertible
So convertibles are usually sporty cars. Some are not. T-Tops don't count. Find those. Calculated on 0-60 times.

Nissan March 1.2 Cabriolet 12.8 Secs 0-60 (it's probably faster on the trailer)

Bonus:
Mazda RX-7 FD (1991 to 1999 model)
