But it's still a bit larger.Wow a new car that doesn't look massive compared to it's ancestor.

That black one looks excellent. Looks far more exotic than past MX-5s too. I think the slight hint of BMW in the lines make it look more expensive.
As is my current MX-5. I have to get it washed every couple of weeks. The car park at work is very dusty. As soon as it rains it brings down all the dust into neat patterns all over the car. Pain in the arse, but I'd never appreciated before how good an MX-5 can look in black. My GTi is black
I live/work in the middle of AZ farm country, so I can wash my car and two days later it has 1,000 miles worth of bugs on the front and so much dust from tractors kicking it up that it's almost brown. As is my current MX-5. The MX-5 could've been different from to US to the UK.Uh, the first reviews came out 4 months ago.

the MX-5 is an extremely rewarding car to drive just in the manipulation of its controls.
Yeah, the car's performance is impressive. I'm just curious as to how well it'd do with the 2.5. It would probably be quicker by a few tenths.Man, it's easily faster than the NC with less power. Good job Mazda. 0-60 in 5.9 seconds is seriously impressive. Faster than the FR-S/BR-Z and not considerably off pace of the S2000....with 155hp. Crazy.
from C&D:
That is precisely why I love Mazda. Even my lowly 2 feels good driving around a parking lot at normal parking speeds. No other mainstream car maker seems to be interested in this.

I bet it could be possible with the right tires. 5.6 was the 0-60 time I was estimating for a Miata with the 2.5, if it had that engine.I'm willing to bet that it could hit 5.6s.
