Still wondering if I should just get a base model. I really want the LSD though, and I hear you can purchase it from Mazda for around $750, but the whole subframe has to be removed to get it out.

There's always the facelift/refresh in probably 3 years.
I find the headlights/ back lights and grille shape quite ugly on many modern cars, so i guess it's just something of the times. Looks like designers don't know what to draw anymore and go for some crazy lines here and there.

Only thing I don't really like on the exterior are the front LED strips. I plan on removing them and maybe converting them to brake cooling ducts. The tail lights I'm not a fan of either. I'll probably keep them as-is for a while and if they don't grow on me then I can purchase those inserts to get rid of the 'point' from a few pages back.

Surely an exposed tow hook isn't safe, since it's essentially part of the frame with it connected (is it not?) Even a minor frontal bump could cause permanent damage to the frame.

I went for a 2minute ride in the red MX5. The top operation alone, is worth the price of admission. Passenger seat room was more than enough for me. The fenders poking up over the bonnet, look exactly like a C6 when looking out the windscreen. I even dig the silver wheels.

I noticed that we were finally able to build our own Miata online, but was promptly disappointed to find out that you must go with the GT to get leather seats. I thought those would come with the Club.
And you can only get blue on the GT, but that was already mentioned.

Both of those are true, but the builder is a little broken right now. It won't let me put the appearance package on the Club which it should, and some of the details for each model are incorrect.

I had the Appearance option ticked but it showed no difference. Same with the rear lid spoiler, although I know what that looks like.

So far, three NC PRHT owners, have traded in for the ND. The owners are men in their 50s. All three NDs are 1.5 GTs. One Soul Red, the other two are white. In Australia, the NC PRHT was $55k. The 1.5 GT, is $37k.

I wonder if the front exposed tow-hook will become a thing.
No. Driving with the exposed tow hook is not a "thing". Many cars have factory tow hook locations hidden behind plastic covers in the front or rear. Some are hidden behind fog light covers. Chances are the vehicle you are driving or your parents are driving also has hidden factory tow hook connections. The location will look like this in the front or rear of a vehicle. Usually the cover is removed with a flat screw driver. Behind the cover is a hole to screw in the stock tow hook. (usually supplied with the car somewhere in the trunk with the spare tire)

If you see anyone purposely driving around public streets with the stock tow hooks in their car, please post the pics so we can all have a good laugh.
