I had one in the days of my youth, it was tan & white. Straight six, 3 on the tree. Very sloooow...
Had lots of old clunkers that would be worth a mint now, sadly they most likely ended up crushed.

It handles fine for what it is, a 600hp FWD car
you can't trail-brake with it (well, if we could adjust the brake bias) it's just not loose enough.
I pushed through 10 laps with it and got a silver time. Haven't driven an LMP of any sort at LeMans in GT6 before this event. managed 5 clean laps.

you need to stop it early in a straight line but also try to get it turning while you're still carrying a bit of speed with the aero help for the tight bits.
point it at the apex and accelerate towards it.
totally counter-intuitive but it felt much better.
you can really carry a heap of speed through the fast curves and use the throttle to control the front end grip.
I also found that i could pull away from my own ghost out of the chicanes by short shifting from 2-3 and using the extra torque from the KERS as opposed to revving out 2nd

I hope there is a warning on the koolaid you folks are drinking. You all would be singing the praises to a 63' rambler wagon if PD pushed one out to you. It's Fugly & handles like a garbage truck on ice.

So because a lot of people actually like it and you don't, we're automatically "Drinking the Kool-Aid". I get that some hate it and hey that's fine as not everyone enjoys driving a mobile earthquake on the straight (which can't possibly be true of the car in real life), but to say everyone that loves it just because PD pushed it on us is abit generalizing.

Also, I'm willing to bet like the other cars from its era, a lot of people will not want to drive that Rambler unless it has Racing softs

It only handles like a 'garbage truck on ice' if you can't drive it or don't have the patience (not that much required but definitely needs getting used to) to learn how... I think it's bloody fantastic and when you know what you're doing it handles just fine.

It a car designed unlike any other, it WILL have a driving experience unlike any other. What did you expect?

If it has taken off on the other side it would have been a very realistic blowover.
I think he hit an invisible wall. :)

Completely agree it is fantastic... but honestly it does handle like a 'garbage truck on ice' in Arnage. :D Seriously the hardest turn in GTAcademy.

Is this the LMP or 63' Rambler?

Lift some weights and just be stronger than your wheel. I've had no problem controlling my wheel.

Thinking it has anything to do with strength is a really stupid assumption. Almost as stupid as assuming that I have an trouble controlling it. I bench 250 dude.

It's a matter of enjoyment, not strength. Dealing with an oscillating wheel just isn't enjoyable. None of the other cars in the game do it, and since I upgraded to a T300 RS, not a single game I play does it either. I hated it when my DFGT would do it, and I hate it when this car does it. It's annoying.

You don't need to get so sensitive and attack me personally just because I don't like your favorite new car. That's fanboy behavior.

With the g27 every car osillates... (-_-)

Not in my experience. Not in GT6 or GT5 at least. I own a DFGT but I have used G27's before. Never noticed oscillation in GT before this car. PC sims definitely caused it but never in GT and I always had the FFB up to the maximum.

I have a T300 RS now though and the forces are much much stronger so I usually have it at 7 and 7.

Um, if anyone is being sensitive its you. I wasn't "attacking" you in any way. I don't know why you are getting so defensive. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

You implied that I'm too weak to handle a force feedback wheel. That's a personal attack. Why would you do that just because I don't like this car unless you're the one being defensive?

It's called a joke, lighten up. If you think that is a personal "attack" then you're awfully sensitive, but I am sorry. It won't happen again.

It's called an opinion, lighten up. If you think me not enjoying the car is a sign of me needing to "lift weights and control my wheel" then you're awfully sensitive. I'm not sorry but it won't happen again because I'm done with this car, this thread, and you.

It's called a joke, I could care less if you think the car is a pile of 🤬.

Reduce the toe-out of the front and the car becomes a lot more firm in a straight line. The massive A-pillar is still a problem when turning right, but with a bit of practice you'll get used to it.

Just did the dream car championship and managed to do two clean laps around the Nürburgring 24 hour circruit :D I probably drove it at 80-90% of its capacity though, but still managed to do a 7:59 lap.

i got 7:48 with 1.33 around GP track, i think that leaves 6:15 for nordschleife. wasnt a clean lap. i think i can do under 6:10 maybe close to 6 minutes? amazing to reach 350+kmh on the dottinger hohe

Track record is a 6:12 by Porsche Group C in 1982 ... see if you can beat it. :)

Well, I tried it out and I will say that it's quite enjoyable. My only gripe is the understeer at low speed.

Two important questions:

Is it just me, or did PD make Le Mans more bumpy? I feel a little sick after playing on hood view, so I don't know if this car's suspension handles the bumps differently.

Does the KERS activate automatically only?

Yes, the KERS do activate automatically only not manual unlikely other hybrid VGT cars have them.

I think it's because of the suspension settings. It has an extreme toe-out setting in the front, which drags it left and right every time you hit a bump. Reducing the toe-out helps a lot.

My only complain is about the 5 speeds only gearbox. Love the FF drivetrain and interiors.
Just expected a little more of choice with the livery
It needs a new first gear. I understand why they left it out, and the advantage they gained... but still. It would be nice if 1st gear didn't do to 95 MPH. lol

I doubt that a shorter 1st gear would do any good for this car. There's very little downforce at low speeds to help push the front tyres down and with the increased wheel torque of a shorter gear most of the power would probably go to waste as wheelspin.

And that's why i would have put a 7 speeds gearbox. (i'm an ignorant so don't flame me much.)

Seriously the hardest turn in GTAcademy.

IMHO, that is on of the easiest corners in terms of judgement.

But if you need help;

Take the left side of the road, hard brake while turning right while in 1st gear, and then floor it while pointing towards the middle of the opposing road. I'll even help you with a replay if you'd like.

I found the Nissan GTR LMP very hard to control. It wasn't easy to turn the car.

For example, the first two corners at Le Mans i managed only at 70 km/h.It was until
after several restarts that i realized that you have to turn earlier into the corner.
It was very difficult, but it is definitely something to get used to.Because the car
handles so much better with the FWD, especially when driving through fast bends and when braking hard.

I managed to get some better response by increasing the steering sensitivity and trying out
the car on the Nordschleife. It goes around corners like the clappers when you finally get used to it.

I rated 3 though, for me the car drives weird and looks weird, but it is not a bad car.
