It started out as a NSX successor before it was cancelled, and what was completed was switched over to the HSV project, IIRC.

Oh... oh my...

I think I've fallen in love..

I'll be honest I've really not been taking to this new design but.. suddenly it really works.

Still - I can't help but see the Audi R8 for some reason - I just don't understand why I can't get that image out of my head.

Because the profile is still pretty much identical; as is some of the detailing. Most notable difference is the front and the way the buttresses are done (which is nicer on the NSX, I think).

Will the NSX-GT keep it's hybrid system for racing or will Honda be forced to throw it away?

Quite nice, I can see how Huskie sees the R8 GT in it. Too me it just looks like a sandwiched R8 on a diet. It's quite nice.

I may be completely off base here, but it seems like the HSV is what the engineers at Honda wanted to build, and this NSX is what the marketing department wanted to build. The HSV was so much cooler, better looking, and more interesting to me. The LF-A is wonderful, but I think the HSV could have been even better. I firmly believe that the engineers at Honda are the most talented in the industry.

I think it looks too tame in the picture, maybe the white color isn't doing it justice.

NEEDS MOAR FINS, VENTS, SCOOP, ETC. MOAR AGGRESSIVE AERO! :dopey:

Ok sure, disregard the ones posted above your post (and in multiple threads) ;)

I agree with you there about the HSV. I really wanted to see that car, minus the camo-wrap.

I was sick to my stomach when what was pretty much a complete car was canceled, with a weak-sauce excuse, just to start fresh on an entirely different vehicle a year later it seems.

Honda, the most scared, play-it-safe company of all time.

Maybe one day. :(

Interesting that you two say that because as far as I can remember, alot of NSX fans were upset at seeing this potentially replace the NSX.

True, it's very different in concept to the original NSX, but I don't see the problem. It wasn't trying to ape the name or even the design philosophy, it's something else entirely, and there was integrity in that. How I would have loved to see a 599 GTB vs LF-A vs HSV Top Gear Road Trip...

Yea, I remember people being upset with the layout, and engine choice. But I always felt the successor needed to only carry two things over;

Be an affordable supercar, and look awesome at the same time.

I wonder what variants the new NSX is gonna have. It would be interesting to see Type S and Type S Zero variants to compete with the GT3s and other track ready cars.

^Oh Hush you :P

Anyhow, its about time I heard this (even if its not in its final form yet) and it sounds beastly. Hopefully, they'll show it with all that SH-AWD action going on.

Glad to see it return, but so far, the more I see of this NSX, the less I want to see. From the looks, to the sound, this NSX is so underwhelming for me.

I was browsing CarBuzz and I saw an article with a video of the new NSX. You can hear the engine and it sounds incredible.

But I still don't understand how people are still comparing it to an R8.

doubt you will have a japanese exclusive when the car is made in Ohio and exported

Well, there's limited edition cars for Russia (Sebastian Vettel edition Infiniti SUV) and China (Lamborghinis) when those cars are produced in other countries.

New Footage -> OH NOES! THE NXS BEAT AN ACCORD!!!

^ Stop the presses!!!
