Ive done the vigilante mission. I now need help on the firefighting mission :indiff:

Also shooting the gun backwards gets me too many stars and you cant control the turret seperately from the view in SA. Why did they change that??

If you want to try to take some RHino jumps you can reverse the turret and then look forward-- there is a trick to it though--works on PS2, not sure about other platforms

REverse the turret, with it reversed, switch to first person view-- the turret will be stuck reversed so you can fire it and drive real fast and see ahead of you still--- its better then not being able to do it all.

This Rhino doesn't jump like the VC and III rhinos though :nervous:

I was playing GTA3 yesterday when noticed a few things that SA screwed up. Dont you find it annoying on the motorwaywhen your driving but you cant see the car ahead of you because the veiws are WAY too low. In GTA3 the veiw is nice and high and you can acctually see ahead of you. Remember the old skool GTA1&2 veiws?? they also have that in GTA3 and its quite fun, i think they should of kept that veiw in SA. Finally the cars in GTA3 are WAY harder to drive, its soo fun driving through the city with a Stalion. You should have a go on GTA3 a bit. Its quite refreshing.

Thanks for the help guys. Im getting a bit worried though...im on 95.19% and the only 3 things i can think i have left to do is the firefighting mission, the race with those stupic oval racers and the shooting range. I havent taken over all territories(does that add to game completion??) and even if i do all that im pretty sure they wont add up to be 5%.
Ive never got 100% in any GTA but i feel i can do it in SA.

Their is multiple checklists for you to look at to see what you have and havnt done. Though once you have them done and are still stuck Im sure we can help you out.

I havnt played GTA3 for a while, i could never do the ambo and rampages. Everything else i could do. Maybe one day i will get 100% in that also.

What? Driving in GTA3 is so easy! Or, drifting, at least. Hitting things didn't kill your momentum either (through the last thee, you can clearly see the effect of hitting peds, lightposts, etc. increase).

Territories do count for percentage. It seems like what you've got could realistically be 5%.
Don't forget to buy all properties, too! I freaked out when I forgot about that one. Very easy last thing to do for completion, though.
Good luck with the shooting range, that's probably the hardest part of the game as well as the most annoying (having to go through the pistol and SMG rounds every time, just because the shotgun round is impossible).

I believe it doesn't. As long as you've got enough territories to trigger "End of the Line" it's ok not to gain any more.

That race is fun, Its very easy to pass, i end up lapping the field hehe.
I like the Dirt Bike challenge out of the 3 Arena events.

The competition is easy to whoop as the top guys usually wipe out on the 1st jump. Plus, I can get around the course using a line.

Yeah, it's great fun! :D I remember for a little while all I was doing was that race :P

You lapped your opponents  i won by only a few seconds!! theres a jump where every opponent biker ALWAYS falls and thats the only reason i won.

I had a go at the shooting range.....i got whoooped!!
i killed it on the pistol and machine gun, getting pretty confident going into the 3rd round in the shotgun but thats when booth1 and 2 got their own back....i was slaughtered :(

so near but sooo far from 100%

Yeah, the hotring racers are supposed to be NASCARs. It was an actual circle track in VC, but I guess that was too boring. It was for me, anyway; I liked 8-track much more.

I warned you about the shooting range, didn't I? :D Total PITA, you don't even get fast reload like in VC. Good luck!

I suggest you get hitman with the shotgun, and you have to hold down x and hit a target every shot to win.

Btw i dont think mclarenf1 lapped the competition in dirt track, its only possible in 8-Track.

The game cheats in the shooting range also---

I know this for a fact-- on shotgun I had 19 and my opponent had 18 when the new target came out-- he got one shot out before me and took out 2 targets for 2 points-- you can only get 1 target per shot-- I lost 20 to 19.... almost kicked my PS2 when this happened.

they should have made this one so you don't have to redo all the contests if you fail one of the later ones-- it took me 15 to 20 times to pass the shooting range-- I think it was the hardest thing in the game.

Amen to that, its based more on luck than skill imo. their is only so much you can do, its then upto the computer to decide if they can get 2 points for 1 shot.

Yes it cheats, but it also misses. The challenge isn't that hard. I've actually found it gets harder the more skill you have, I know I passed it all the time at first but it seems to be getting harder recently.

Are the robbery missions with Catalina in SA always going to add up to $12,000, regardless of the order you do them in?

Unconfirmed:

Inside-out World;

Easter Egg: Inside-Out-Town

Note: This will corrupt your save file due to the cheat involved; for best results, pull out your PS2 memory card prior to your attempt.
-Go to the gym in Ganton
-Kill all 4 people inside.
-Use the jetpack cheat.
-Walk to the yellow marker with the jetpack, and fly straight up. You'll go straight up through the roof. Now, land on the roof.
-Fly 2 blocks east, and you'll see a yellow marker. Land right on/near the marker, take off the jetpack, and walk inside the marker.
-You'll enter the Angel Pine Motel building. Grab your jetpack (if you see it), or respawn it again with a cheat.
-You can now fly up, and around the interior universe.

That's been mentioned a few times now.

Man, I haven't been on here in 20 days, apparantly. Noone probably noticed. Got my car back on the road, been disowned by my parents for some very unknown and incomprehensible reason, making more money at work, done mediocre on my HSC Trial Examinations and 100%'d San Andreas again.

All in 20 days. Damn.

LOL. I just tried to drive a 'journey' to easter-basin docks and export it, so i drive up the ramp (becuz im too lazy to use the crane) and i drive into the spot. Well, the crane happened to be left there and the magnet picked up my car. So here I am stuck, dangling around, can't get out of the car. I try bobbing back and forth to get 2 wheels to touch the ground but all i get is twitching from the car. So i turn it around and it starts spinning. I press start to pause the game and then came back and resumed. As soon as i resumed the car spun around like a superjump in VC and it said "Car exported" and all i heard was CJ go "WTF?!"

We missed you Jimmy, glad you're doing alright.

PS: That is pretty strange, yeah. I've been almost stuck in some cars like that, but none of them ever did anything that wierd.
I got a tanker to the export dock with a tow truck once. I dropped it on deck with the crane and it started moving around and smashing into things. I thought it was some wierd glitch for a second, but I'd just forgot the driver was still in it.

Man. Some weird sh/t just happened to me. Personally, I've only ever experienced "grey hell" once on the xbox. Until now.

I was biking around in Las Venturas somewhere along the strip and i was by the side of a building and just fell. And fell. And fell.

Then, all of a sudden I'm in the air. And then falling again. I did land, and I got some flips in, about 5 or so, but landed sorta upside down and died.

But the cool thing was, it said on the insane stunt bonus that I went 233 ft in the air. :D

Ahh, I just jumped off that hot press gas steam ramp thing in VC going to the Biker Emporium and I got stuck inside the wall/building. . .

. . .then fell through grey hell.

Anyone finding it hard to stick to playing San Andreas? I went back to GTA III, and now that I have Vice City back, I'm playing that a hell of a lot. Love that game.

You're strange, Jimmy. I agree with you that VC has a better storyline, but the city is dead boring as far as I'm concerned. Are you just screwing around? Or doing the story missions again and again?
SA is just boundless to me. I've said this before but; every time I play the game I go somewhere I've never been before. It's on right now. I've got a sheet of vehicle spawn codes and I'm just running around jumping off of whatever catches my fancy.
From this, I've just discovered how amazing all the insane jump records are, my compliments to anyone who holds one.
