Same here!

Antihero that first picture is drool worthy! Can you tell me more about it?

Oh on a side note, somone is giving me a free minolta camera (non digital) with a 300mm lens as well as two other lenses! i'm sketchy on the exact details of the other two lenses but I'm excited :) i'll post more details and pictures as i get them :D

We get so foggy in last 2 days
no wonder antihero got that shot
both shot are very nice 👍

Antihero, your pics are amazing.

I am however, still a newbie on photography, i just dont have the ideas of what to actually take pics of, that and I have a pretty ordinary camera.

Anyhow, here is my attempt at photography

laugh to your hearts content

Mclaren_Man, a couple of those pics are very good.

The "cricket" and the "glass" particularly. I think that "desk lamp" would have been better had the lamp been on, but I'm afraid the focusing is off on "clock".

:P , Franz is all knowing. I've been waiting for foggy conditions to grab that shot and after months of waiting it finally happened. It's a street light hiding behind a tree here on campus. As for the lens all I can say is lucky bastard. I played with my friends 22-200 and I was in awe. Have fun with those.

Mclaren_Man you've got some nice pics there. They all share a composition that I like. There's something about the vignetting on the lamp that makes it work.

When my sister's boyfriend gets completely done tuning his Evolution I'm going to go take pics of it. But I should start taking pictures again.

Back end is a bit bright but I'm happy with it overall :)

Some of my random pictures (with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5)...oh and for my Photography class (an elective) we use manual SLRs with 100 speed film. Took some photos this weekend with one and hopefully they'll turn out alright once I develop them. :)

Comments are welcome, I think I took these with the macro mode on. I resized them to 1280x960 so they would fit on imageshack easily.

@ skylineGTR_guy: I always wanted to do a shot like that last one you did. The result is great as expected, but it's a shame that it's not well focused. :indiff:

@ DODGE the VIPER: As a owner of a FZ3, which is almost exactly the same as a FZ5, let me share with you some tips that I gathered from my experience:

- Change the Exposure to -2/3 EV, since the camera has a tendency to overexpose the shots.
- Set the PICT.ADJ. to "Vivid", although you should be carefull with reds.
- Change Metering Mode to "Spot" metering as to have more control over exposure.
- When taking shots on a tripod, completely disable the image Stabilizer.

It was kind of hard to keep the camera on 2 second exposure and hold it steady while reving the engine, I'll have to try it with a tripod. 👍

Fair enough. 👍
Somehow I thought it was out of focus.

Great shot there, vladimir. What the hell is it?

Just messing around with my Macro adapters on the flowers. Pic of the Cat and some trees.

that one's excellent, could you post the full size pic please?

Here's a few i took at my school trip in Dorset:
I like the reflection of the clouds in this one

a duck lol! My Mum doesnt think its real...

This one was taken in the early morning and i think it turned out quite good

I like the colours in this one

And finally a pic taken from the top of a tall hill as a storm was approaching. Not as big as you get in the US or tropical countries but still pretty dramatic. The cloud in the top left corner looks so close... Ive left it as a thumbnail so you can see it full size, enjoy

Pretty interesting! Could you post pics of the rig your friend made? It'd be interesting to see how he made it.

That's an Accord right? Late 90s?

Yes that car is a 95 accord, will do it soon with a 350Z :)

the rig is pretty simple, I'm going to try to make one with more joints to give me more flexibility, but all in all its about $6 worth of parts at the hardware store vs buying one for alot more. I was worried if the suction cups would hold the weight but they held a video camera up to 150 mph so It was fine :)
