Nice pics epic. But, I think everyone would appreciate it if you made those 800x600 and put links to the bigger ones. 👍

Yes, can you thumbnail the images please? Feel free to provide links to full-size versions, but try to keep the images you put into the post down to around 800x600.

Well here are come night shots that I took a while back, they didnt come out very well and it really does show how ordinary my camera is. Tried to PS them a little bit but still not happy. The one with the pathway surrounded by plants is probably one of the better ones...

They were taken at around midnight with shutter speed of around a second, and yes I used a tripod. Anyone have tips on night photography?

You see graffiti like that is really clever if you ask me, but I hate those 'gangsters' that just tag everything in boring old black. Stuff like that ^^^ is artistic and requires talent 👍

Nice work Tomski. A couple days ago I watched Next: A Primer on Urban Painting. Awesome documentary that checks out graffiti scenes all around the world.

I also saw Next... a couple months ago, when it first screened in Montreal. It was really cool, we had newspaper articles about the doc, a live painting by Heavyweight Productions (www.hvw8.com) in the rep cinema's lobby, the producer of the documentary was also there, and he gave a little speech prior to the screening.

A really neat look at the world of painting, I thuroughly enjoyed it. I was going to see it a second time, it was part of a Hip-Hop film festival, but I was out of town that night. Although it seems the public is starting to open its eyes to the culture, all of my hopes were shattered today with a totally biased, ruthless and intolerably ignorant rant in the newspaper condemming graffiti.

Tomaski: Loving the NYC style, man! Why'd you quit painting though? I've stopped painting now as well... Check out the bottom of page 63, I've got a whole load of graff-oriented pictures.

Awesome pics antihero. The first one is cool..

My neighbor just picked up a new car, and I took a macro of my sister's VW spare key :P

Wow, that is one ugly piece of car! :D Nice photo though, and love the macro :)

Old photo, but I like it..

Haha, the interior is grandpa style, but so is he, but I'd rock that car with different rims, stiffer suspension, less weight, flat black :)

@ antihero: My all time fav. documentary about graffiti is "Style Wars" from 1983 but you've probably seen it already.. :)

@ exigeracer: yeah that's some nice graffiti pics you made, I did not really quit painting, now I only do stuff that's
legal once i a while. :dopey:

This was me just posing after i finished this huge piece, in kijkduin, The Hague: Note: This was in 1991.

Here is a lake in the woods I saw guys:

There had to be PS in that... I could barely tell what it is, but it's nice.

Well, me and my pops had to fix my mom's exhaust pipe since it was rusty and fell off, and it sounded like a 5" inch exhaust pipe, horrible... So when we were almost done, I took a picture of my sisters head light and I edited it... I gotta say, I love it, it's my new desktop picture also:

It is indeed photoshopped, but not much photoshoping. Anyway I only edited the curves and contrast.

Bah, I wish I could find Style Wars. I've looked around but can't find anything to download. I guess i'll just have to man up and spend the cash; but i'm sure it's worth it. 1991 eh? Looks straight out of the 70s

Remember, European graffiti trends went through many different cycles in a short amount of time, all much later than American graffiti. European trends also greatly differed by city before each region established a distinct style.

these are the photos i took with my good 'ol Canon A510. They dont make it anymore, and i dont have it anymore as i sold it but it did a good ish job for snap shots and with soem time in photoshop i was able to pretty them up.

but now im looking into getting either a high quality compact camera like the Canon SD600 or Kodak V550. However im afraid that I may continue to want more and more. I did photo journalism for a year and learned a ton about cameras, and as it was my hobby for a long time i was able to build a good knowledge and am hoping to move to a DSLR like camera such as the
Panasonic DMC-FZ5K
and the
Panasonic DMC-FZ20K

Some shots I took yesterday, which I edited. But the only shot to have it’s curve colours edited was the 2nd photo, the others have just had there brightness and contrast boosted up guys.

I however used micro or super micro in the 1st, 3rd and 4th photos.

that is actually really well done, but you have two focal points, the red flower to the right and the purple buds on the bottom left, if you were to focus more on one or the other it would help identify the subject.

Good pictures every one, here are some I took today:

The second one was meant to have an old camera, retro look 👍

Good to see so many people shooting. Some quality shots since my last visit. 👍

Vlad, were you using some king of filter on this shot (Neutral Density, Polarizing)? I just love that sky. 👍

nope, i'm afraid i'll have to admit that there was quite a bit of post-processing involved (and luck that the chosen exposure allowed me to do that.)

i can't really recall now what i did exactly, but i edited the various colour's channels each by its own and did some tweaks with the highlights/shadows function.
