Anyone recognize?

Yea, I have almost the exact same shot.

^^^ Yeah, I figured somebody probably would... :)

Spent the afternoon at my grandparents' farm. Here's a 1949 International Harvester with bad-ass blade attachment. It fired up after a half-turn of the handcrank. Also, my first stab at HDR.

Also, a pink thing:

Not a bad HDR at all. Too many times have I seen people take HDR to some extreme length, resulting in their shots looking like someone shat in my eyes.

CrackHoor, nice tractor shot!! 👍
I really liked the focussed tractor with the grey sky!

Thanks, the sky wasn't actually grey like that, the HDR process kind of threw that in there. I tried PSing a bluish shade into it quickly, but it didn't look any better so I left it grey.

Here's another HDR that had the same grey-sky side effect appear:

how did you go about doing the HDR?

Did you just use Auto exposure bracketing or did you just adjust the shutter speed? Also which software did you use to do it and how many shots in each photo?

I used exposure compensation because my A710 IS doesn't have any auto bracketing. One shot at 0EV, one at -2EV, one at +2EV for a total of three shots. On a tripod with 2sec timer to avoid jiggling.

Merged to HDR in Photomatix, which spits out a 48-bit TIF (~40MB in size!) that I can run through Photoshop to finish.

That new picture is also very good, CrackHoor!
The mountains are beautiful!

Cheers Crackhoor! +rep :)

Here's mine; in thumbnail, cause they're big. Taken at Qualcomm Stadium [San Diego Chargers' Stadium] -- not bad for doing it at 2am. lol

edited for 'high-res thumbnails' .. click em for full-res photos:

here's a chop of the neon; from the first pic; its what i see my neon looking like when closed up; its gonna be a show car - still debating between AMG v6 or Mopar 360 for an engine. Yes, both fit.

thanks; me 2 -- i want to get the rear ones deepened for when i get the rwd conversion done. I'm probably going to powdercoat the spokes black as well.

Haha people always say that. He's my good friend, and part of the trio. There's three of us that all go out to shoot together;

yeah; just overpainting it white would've worked better. But honestly, I didnt notice until you said something.

Good news, the hospital I'm working as a photographer for has agreed to set me up with some new gear (for the time I'm working). They're basically going to take me to Henry's and say; ok what do want? (with the rule that the camera has to be more than six megapixels). Mmm... D200 (maybe D2x), baller 12-24, baller midrange, and baller zoom. This is going to be fun.
