I told you a superpost was coming. I'm surprised how many kept up with my empty space antics haha :dopey:

From the Toronto Brickworks. This place was amazing, and fairly easy to get into.

The pinhole really captured the atmosphere of this place,

After the Brickworks my brother and I walked around Detroit. He played with a few d200s and ended up ordering one. I was too cold to shoot but got a few off.

Very cool pictures, they convey the atmosphere pretty good like you said.

I really like this picture, I think it's probably the best one you took.

CLW, i will be at road atlanta i do believe in a few weeks racing 125cc shifter karts, will take a look at the race calendar. Its a nice track. Going to Barber's next weekend. You should come down and check out our karts, they only hit 130mph....:)

My favourit too, it's so beautiful, awesome work antihero 👍

GTR guy, I don't like how none of your action picutres are level. You captured the motion perfectly, but I just don't like how they're all off-leveled. They're quality otherwise 👍

Love the colours on this one. You used "Color Balance" or "Selective Color" to do this?
I also like the lighting in the one Joey D mentioned. 👍

@skylineGTR_guy: Great action shots. You did very well. Nice panning technique and perfect shutter speed. 👍

EDIT:
So more empty space is what I'm hearing?

Thanks guys

I use a plug in called alienskin (my secret is out) but you can still achieve the same thing in editing channels in curves, it just takes some experimenting.

Agreed with DM on skyline's shots, very well shot.

I'm not quite into photography but I do appreciate good photography. Here's a picture I took that I thought turned out pretty neat. I know it's not the best, but hey I don't take pictures much.
Anyways. About my picture, it was a very nice clear sunny day with clear blue skies until I looked out my window and a very menacing looking black cloud seemed to be hovering above my house, and it was in the weirdest shape. Almost like jagged looking spiral, so I took out the screen from my window and snapped a shot of it. What do you guys think?

I like the green colours and the way you composed the shot with the houses on the bottom. Not bad at all for someone that's not into photography.

Me too, I love that shot! The colouring of the houses at the bottom really works well with the sky and the composition is pretty much spot on too.👍

ITR, I'm not really feeling these pics. #1 is focused on something that is barely lit or noticeable. What are we looking at also, the lids of spices??

Yes, yes you are. Welcome to my kitchen. There's nothing to look at in those pics other than the lighting basically. Just an exercise on cropping and using Levels in Photoshop really.

too much missing in the last picture...

I think he means there is too much empty space.

we want less empty space

Roo
anti: Less empty space in the last one.

yeaaaaah,

You guys are weird, you keep asking for more empty space but I can't give anymore.

I think you're the weird one.

EDIT: What are the yellow balls on the floor in the pic of the chair?

Paintballs?

Knowing the weird buildings ah goes into, they are probably poisonous spores of some sort. :D

I just wish there was some sort of abandoned buildings here for me to go into! Only thing that is shut down here is a winn-dixie shopping store which i did go into but who wants to look at old pictures of a store. There just wasn't anything left in it but walls and a meat slicer. Oh and a pretty nice audio amp...:sly:

Haha. It's kinda funny when I think about the last building I was in. I got in fairly easy with my brother, 10 minutes later a couple 10 year old kids walk by. It kinda killed my 'I'm a ninja' attitude. Another 10 minutes passed and I seen an older mother with her daughter taking snapshots. Needless to say, my ego was deflated.

Where abouts in Alabama are you? Name a few towns around you and I'll get you some spots. It seems like Birmingham has a bunch.

Paintballs?

Can we drop the whole empty space thing? You guys ask for more and I just can't give it.

Yeah they're paintballs, a lot of these buildings get subjected to paintball games.

The buildings antihero goes into aren't more than flour mills or processing warehouses, old hospitals and mental insitutions are also pretty common. None of it is extraordinary stuff, though. Sure you sometimes come across random control rooms full of machinery and switches and dials and pipes, but a lot of it is just empty rooms with broken glass everywhere. It's still a rush to explore. You sometimes come across some pretty sketchy individuals.

Hey now, don't belittle my adventures. I inhaled some good amounts of asbestos to get some of those shots. It's true though, a lot of these are just old flour mills (specially in the older smaller towns in here Canadaland) and various buildings. There have been a few that just blew my mind, such as the United Artist building (http://www.ktait.net/ue/detroit/unitedartist/DSC_000823.jpg), an old police station and the Canadian Malting Plant. Some of these places are pretty easy, but some have been a real task. Climbing through holes that are about 3 feet in diameter that lead to a 7 foot drop is kinda difficult. I'm heading out to a new spot soon, I'll post the pics as usual.

There's an old malt plant closer towards the Frencher half of the country that has some ultra-sketchy approaches involved, including a series of poles and ladders tied together by shoelaces and twine by some local graffiti rats. I stuck it to the outside due to poor weather and lack of any equipment for the exploration. The building is also extremely hazerdous, n the verge of falling down.

I like the first shot itr.

Exige, just go. I'm sure it will be worth it. I've done my fair share of sketchy **** and they are always worth it (at least until I fall and break my ass).

Some shots from the buildings I was in today. Some inactive, some active. Made for a good opportunity to test out my ninja skills.
