Montreal - I made my parents put a VT sticker on their Outback. It seemed so fitting.

I'm driving through on Saturday, probably going to hit up the Burton shop on the way home to check if the 08 swag has landed.

Have you guys seen the specs on the Nikon D300? Damn, Canon's 40D just looks like an incremental update!

EDIT: Here's a Paris panorama. Thumbnail for those who don't have screens 1600 pixels wide (I have a 8000px one on my HDD :P):

Just bought a Canon 400D last week

so I went to Toronto and have some fun with it :)
my family was planning to PEI and Nova Scotia this week
but have to cancel at the last minutes, so it is a big miss for my new purchase :(

Nice shots Franz, although the first shot needs to be focused properly. :)

here are two pics i took at cape coast. i only have access to a fraction of the pics i took... I used a Canon Powershot A630 8mp camera and lowered cam resolution to 1600x1200 to save space.

@franz; Those long exposure shots are awesome. I'm going to have to find the time to go out somewhere and take some shots of my own like that at some point!

Here are some I forgot to upload from a while back;

Mog: I love that under bridge one! Nice tilt and composition

it seems very fun to experience it :D

anti, that 2nd shot is gorgeous. I'd love a print of something like that on my wall.
They're all brilliant and I love the style of them all but that one stood out especially.

I must get myself a polaroid at some point actually! I did get given a weird polaroid SLR thing by my nan but you can't get the film it requires ANYWHERE. :( Even eBay only had one pack for sale and it was £60!

Thanks franz! For the bridge shot I was sat crouched down in the corner of the bridge in a really awkward position waiting for the sun to come out so I could get the light reflections in the shot. People walking by were giving me some funny looks! :lol:

The water splash one was a lucky shot actually, I only took 3 photos of it. I was stood above a small waterfall area looking down just waiting for the flow of water to begin again as it wasn't constant. It was very annoying. Here is how it looked from on top of the bridge seen in the 'tilted' photo;

thanks sir, that is very kind of you to say.

is it sx-70 by chance? i know sx-70 is discontiuned, but i've seen people modify polaroid cameras to accept the normal 600 type. i got mine (the impulse) at a hock shop. i love it and recommend it highly.

wow nice shots guys:tup:

Just a question is anyone here selling a nikon d70 or d50?

I'm looking to get one but would like a "used" one just to see if photography is really for me or not...

It's just called a 'Polaroid Vision', it folds flat and then unfolds into a bigger camera, I took some photos of it a few weeks back and posted them here, they should be a few pages back in the topic.

@ antihero

Do you process your own film or do you just pop them in to a store for it to be done?

I need to get out and about with mine, but finding time is proving very hard, I've got too many projects on the go, with work music and just regular day to day stuff, its very difficult, I am however maybe going to a quarry to photograph some friends on bikes so that may yield some interesting shots.

I've been taking them to Black's photography to get the developed. Any photography store will do. It's pretty easy to just pop in, ask for them to be developed to a cd and come back an hour later or wahtever. I've got 4 rolls waiting to be developed, but I hear the labs here at my school have developing machines so I'm just going to wait it out until I can get in there; safe myself some money.

Nice work CrackHoor, I especially like the 2nd shot. It has a spooky feel to it! I think that location would be nice to shoot early in the morning.

What's the deal with the 3rd photo though, it looks a lot fuzzier than the rest, is it a crop?

edited some shots I had overlooked before

Thanks, that car is at the very bottom of a deep canyon (it was pushed over a 250-foot cliff to get there) so I'm not sure where the morning light would be coming in, but that's something I'll check out.

The third photo is a pretty severe crop, taken from near that car. The tree's at the top of the canyon, and my P&S zoom just couldn't get me any closer.

CDailey: Love the 6th picture, would be awesome as a desktop. ;)
