If the right-wing whackos would understand the First Amendment, I would be so happy.
Once they've got that down, maybe they could have a go at Popper's paradox of intolerance.

Karl Popper (I think)

"Their platform."

Dumb**** actually acknowledges it in the POTUS account tweet that they deleted.

When he breaks open the football to get the codes it's probably going to be a big piece of paper saying "NO" in bold font.

Telecomms? AT&T was a federal monopoly for a long time, I think.
Nationalization was short-lived and gave way to regulation. "Political control" would be difficult to pull from that anyway.

Has America ever nationalised anything else for the purposes of political control? Maybe they just want to run it into the ground.

It could be worse. Imagine a nationalised Gab or Parler.

I imagine it would be pretty bad, because a takeover of Twitter and Facebook would only be effective if they also banned anyone other than the government from running social media platforms.

But the Republicans would probably find themselves disappointed, because some categories of speech are not protected by the constitution: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_free_speech_exceptions

...speech integral to illegal conduct, speech that incites imminent lawless action, speech that violates intellectual property law, true threats...

So Trump would probably have been banned even if freedom of speech applied to Facebook and Twitter.

Roger Stone is calling out The Lincoln Project's Stuart Stevens and other non-Trumpist Republicans on Parler.

Is Ben Garrison Consistent?
He's delusional!

To be fair, he is consistent as a Trumpkin.

Lady Liberty looks suspiciously like Melania in the bottom one, and why is Armed Freedom talking?
