I'm pretty sure I posted the very same one you posted there some point last year, but I understand that people likely get these things from different sources and may not scroll through every page of this thread and lock away everything they see in their memory vault, so instead of saying I posted it already, I liked it because it was still funny.

I don't normally call it out unless it's within a week or so. After that it tends to fall down my own memory hole.

I can appreciate that, but maybe it's still not necessary to call firsts on these things...especially when the content, while similar, is actually not the same.

Respectfully, it sort of comes off as petty. And seeing as I am, I feel like I know petty when I see it.

It looked pretty much the same to me. Sorry if my behaviour crossed your threshold of acceptability, though.

Preaching to the wrong crowd man. I wear the mask...
Not really preaching at all. It's more an observation that people who refute that which is commonly accepted by the mainstream as scaremongering, tend to be the victim of scaremongering by alternative sources.

I generally agree. The news media is and has been for a very long time, fueled by outrage and concern. And that if you want to not be so outraged and concerned, turn it off and enjoy your life. But the message can also be taken too far. Keeping blinders on might keep you happier, but it does actually shield you from the truth (and misinformation). Ignorance is not a virtue. Being uninformed is not a superior state, there's a balance to it, and the balance kinda depends on what's happening.

Given his recent hot takes over in the COVID thread, a syringe may have been the more appropriate symbol.

It's pretty safe to say that fire wasn't started by rioters adjacent to police accountability protests.

I have to ask, a few months back Joe Rogan made some ridiculous Covid related comments, which shortly after he apologized for n a rather self depreciating way. Are these posts referring back to his old comments or did he say something stupid yet again?

Yes.

I think "saying something stupid about COVID" is the default state for Joe Rogan. What's weird is Republicans eat it up. He's a celebrity and they don't discount the things he says on that basis. Wait, did I say weird? I meant predictable, because the things he says tend to be in support of his preferred narratives. There's no "stay in your lane" from them; no "shut up and [do whatever it is that he does]."

Not a meme... But still funny.

The one for George W. Bush doesn't seem...Bushy. Maybe I'm not remembering something that inspired it. I'd have liked to see something about "strategery."
