With all the speculation of what's happening with GT5, one mystery hasn't been revealed to us yet which is "How powerful are the cars going to be?".

So, my simple questions to you are:

1. How much power do you think the most powerful cars in GT5 will have?

2. Which car do you think should be the most powerful in GT5??

For me personally, I'm going for around the 1300hp mark, a bit more than the most powerful on GT4, but I think on this occasion with the technology advances on quite a few engines that I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 1000Kw with an engine or two this time around.

So, what's your choices boys & girls?? :)

oh, hard to say. I would suppose it depends on the 'funny cars' that have crept into the various GT's as oddballs.

I would suspect that the most powerful remain much as the same as they did in GT4, the LMP cars with mahoosive turbos slapped on followed by the GT classics, skylines, supras etc.

Heres hoping for some good tuning options either way i was disappointed (but not surprised) by gt5P's 'tuning' features, the best part os GT's of old was buying bits to upgrade that old starting banger even if it was only upto a 100 bhp or 1000.

Well before I can vote I need to know a couple things.
1) Are we talking pre or post upgrade.
2) I would also need to know if drag racing will be in the game as those cars are monsters(Pro Stock motors make about 1200).

Anyways, if there is drag racing as well as Pro Stock cars I would say the Chevrolet Cobalt Pro Stock car.

If not the Hennessey GT-R

I must say that power upgrades should this time go waaaay further than a mere 950hp for some cars, especially muscle cars. I put my vote in 1300-1399hp.

The cadillac sixteen has 1000hp with 1000ft/lbs of torque STOCK with no modifications so if tuned ....It would be a beast to master:)

Depends on if you can give the V8s forced induction or not (and in the case of superchargers, ones running more than 4psi ). I would guess a modified ZR1 should be able to reach 1200+hp in-game. I'll say 1200-1299hp although I would hardly ever use a car so powerful, I'm a circuit racer.

i think that they should have over 1200hp as some skylines and supras are able to get these numbers as some v8's, but as paulie said only if there is forced induction!!!

A consequence to that much power would be nice too, i always felt that GT let players off to easily when they (or we i should say) slap the turbo of epic boost (tm) onto a weedy engine. bingo insta power multiplier with seemingly none of the disadvantages that would create.

Who cares about power? Its over-rated in my opinion, what you really want is aerodynamic performance....the ultimate probably being somthing like the Brabham BT46.
I'd guess that the most powerful car in GT5 will be around 1000bhp, anything over that is rediculous and largely useless.

Great, just what we need, another stinkin' poll! :ouch: Geez, people, you don't have to make a poll for every new thread you start! 💡

There are a lot of stupid polls on this forum, but I think this one takes the trophy...

No Patrik, mine takes second to your pathetic effort which actually requires the power I'm asking about to even be relevant to your poll. Which poll you ask?? This one....

Patrik's Poll
Is it time for PD to finally include a drag race mode?

Yeah, let's have a drag race mode and not know how much power we have for the cars we're going to race. :dunce: You're a dead set freaking dumbass Patrik, criticising one when you're doing the same thing, putting up stupid polls. Are we going to drag race 1886 Benz Patent's in GT5 are we?? :odd:

Unlike your moronic question, which I actually answered in a logical and reasonable manner and gave a wish list for, you answer my question with this condescending manner? Believe me, AUP holds me back from calling you what you really are, but here's a hint, it rhymes with truckbit.

So next time, stop being a sarcastic moron as it seems to be your M.O. every time you post a message and shows you're up yourself to the n'th degree.

Anti-san - this is no worse than the 2 million threads about damage on here.

I`m in the same boat as paulie, besides who is really going to use 1400+hp? It`s only good for dyno bragging rights and having that kind of power would make anything other than a Le Mans type car as useful as a blind man at a wet t-shirt comp 💡

I like doing top speed runs and making 7 second (or 8) drag cars for the fun of it, just another part of the GT experience for me.

Will I use 1400hp+ for my Nurburgring and Tsukuba TT monsters? No way.

I think we need an emoticon with a pair of handbags smacking each other, lol. :D

IMO I don't think it matters how much power the most powerful car has, as it's grip levels could be absolutely terrible and not able to put much of the power down anyway!! And trying to drive a car that's way too overpowered to go round a circuit without spinning out on every corner exit isn't my idea of fun!

the only cars that will have in excess of 1400hp might be drag cars. i think it would be fun to pop some wheelies from the starting line with that kind of power with the right set of tires.

well 1400HP isn't so special these days, so I went for more than. The most powerful car eh? Er, some sort of RB26TT packing import, or a Veyron with a stage 5 turbo kit. If engine swaps were available? I'd say a 60's Fiat 500.:mischievous:

Going north of 1400hp would be nice, as long as they give us a 13 mile stretch of Bonniville salt to play on:dopey:.

Imagine if they had Thrust SSC in the game - or even better - Bloodhound SSC...

Even if they had the rocket car that Hammond dented it would be ace.

C.

Very nice language there fella...

I don't get your idea either. We will all know how much power the cars have when the game is released, won't we?

Or do you think KY will look at this thread and say to the staff: "Ok, the majority on GTP wants the most powerful car to have 1400hp. Now let's see, the most powerful we will include in GT5 is the Bugatti Veyron, so let's give it 1400hp, although it has only 1020hp in real life."?

Drag Racing Mode is another story. I don't know weather or not it will be included (probably it won't be). So I made a poll to see how many wanted it in GT5, in case someone on PD comes here, and then after seing my poll's result, realise they should perhaps include drag racing in the game.

HAH, an RB26DETT the most powerful?:P The 2JZ will beat that down, let alone the V8s, V10s and V12s (assuming forced induction is applicable).:sly:

BAH....the 9.3L V8 out of that Vauxhaul Victor prowling Youtube. It has 2000HP and I know that's not much when alot of non streetlegal domestic dragsters can push 3-5000HP. I knew only YOU would come back at me like that:lol:

The RB26DETT has enough potential to get it over 1400HP - and I'm told it's quite user friendly even when up-to-the-eyeballs on power.
Anyway, I'm suprised you havn't hammered my other most powerful car. Anyone wants to try and max a 1500HP packing RB26 Fiat 500 on Le Sarthe?

Please don't discuss that here "who's is bigger", take it to PM or autoforums.
