To balance this out even further, once the AI player avoidance is spot on, every deliberate crash should result in more severe consequences, be it more sensitive damage or by throwing the player car off balance on impact.

yes i just saw the AI closing the door on him but he wasnt in the right place for an overtake anyway. i thought it looked fine. besides, i don't want overtaking to be too easy, a little grief is fine.

I only watched the first little bit but it seemed strange that he was complaining when it was him causing the bumps. The first he cut up the other guy and when the other came back on the circuit he got hit, the second at the end of the first lap he broke incredibly late compared to the car in front.

I have a question: In your YT comments you said "I think the physics of the Assetto Corsa are much better than PCARS". Can you elaborate on that? What is it that makes you to come to this conclusion? I don't want to argue or convince you of anything, just want to know where you feel PCars is lacking and why.

I can´t feel the road in the wheel and suddenly the ffb hit me strong...and again can´t feel the road and wheels.. is like the ffb couldn´t makes me feel what happen in the car..

What wheel do you use? Do you run it with recommended settings of the wmd forum?

Strange, to me the FFB is very communicative and tells me about any over/understeer before i even see it on the screen. I use the T300 at TM defaults. In Game i set overall FFB Strenght to 100, deadzone removal to 0.12 and deadzone removal falloff to 0.02. Cant complain at all since i use these settings.

this is what top gear were trying to arrange but the manufacturers were being fussy about it all.

edit: and on a side note, it looks a lot greener around there than most games show it. i always associate this track with a dirty brown colour

Force feedback is not physics. Physics is about handling behaviors, the tire model, oversteer and understeer, things that are measurable and repeatable. Force feedback is an element of the user interface with the game, and greatly depends upon the wheel you're using and your FFB settings, making it a terribly inconsistent measure of a sim.

I visited California one summer, and something that stood out to me was how so much of the grass was brown and dry. So the green-ness of Laguna Seca surely depends on the season and weather. :)

Yes it depends on the time of year.

Did you see the tire flex on the P1, thought the tire was going to pop off the rim.
That's exactly what I was looking at. Those tires were hanging on for dear life.

All in all, this was a ridiculous time attack comparison. Just awesome. But why does Ferrari still refuse to put the La Ferrari up to compete against these two .... automotive animals/beasts/something because they just change the bar?

If Top Gear would still be on air, we would see the comparison between all 3 at the end of the current season :(

Little Bit Off Topic: First direct performance comparison between the Porsche 918 and the McLaren P1 around Laguna Seca. Ferrari has been a dick and refused permission to include the LaFerrari in this comparison.

Clarkson could just wait some weeks to snap out of control. Top Gear was about to get Ferrari on board.

From what I've been hearing (reading actually ;)), ITV and Netflix are in the lead for a possible deal with the trio (and most probably with Andy Wilman as well)
