Now compare the Lotus video above to this (second half of the video).
What's incredible is that when this first came out I thought the sound was the bees knees.

SMS's 5.2 lambo v10 sample is just lovely
They sure do matterAnd merely to defend PD people claim sounds dont matter in a racing game.
Same engine, just a bit less powerPlus: The 97T is not the same car as the 98T
Relative to many other cars in the game it is better, it actually has some depth and character to it.What's incredible is that when this first came out I thought the sound was the bees knees.

Speaking of that lotus, in pcars are you able to adjust the turbo pressure to take it right up past 1000hp?

Do you know what? I was just thinking about that earlier. Perhaps it will now serve a more ironic purposeAre you starting to regret your username choice?
jk.
Yes, AI sounds have a reduced quality and limited volume. Its a tradeoff because resources are limited and there is no way to convey the added up volume of dozends of cars convincingly to the player.
And that's quite a bummer. Other racing games can do it. At least having the AI and player car at the same loudness level. As long as you are test-driving or hotlapping alone on the track, it sounds fine. But watching a replay of a race sounds quite odd. Visuals and sounds do not match, because I see lots of cars but only hear a single one and some noise in the background.
But pcars is not supposed to be about driving alone on the track, isn't it?

didn't work on my iPhone but was fine on PC, although my laptop is so underpowered I had to use medium settings :/
still looked great and was good to hear from Andy and Ian.
the feature that has me most interested is the Locker for sharing set ups. I really hope there's a rating system in place for community set ups so we know whose to trust and which set ups are best.
