Headlights do illuminate the track in front of you. If it's only half way dark as in the video you commented on, the borders of light cones are less apparent (like IRL). Have a look below - you can see a pitch black night and clearly defined light cones.Hm....the lighting seems off. Doesn't look like the car's headlights are actually illuminating what's in front of them, but rather the whole part of the track you're currently on lights up. Problem is, the transition from darkness to light is too quick, which makes trees, signs, etc. almost look like popups.
Edit: The light cone transition band comment has been passed on to WMD. Not a biggie for me, but you guys are being heard by proxy over there
