I want both of those!
I'm starting to get frustrated with my cars lack of power it may be a 1.6 Sport but its still not enough power!
Trouble is I can't really get a new car till I graduate and get a job though.

They both look awesome, and in good shape too 👍

Spurgey- good point because it (annoyingly) hasnt got any in the cockpit They are retro Alfa alloys, they normally produce their lusso models with them accross the range I think.

Pagey- 1.6 is pretty nippy mate but I would say a 2 litre is the lowest I could cope with unless the car had VVTi (yours has this right?) or supercharger. I am unfortunatley having to sell the MR2 as I need a van for work It has been a pleasure to own though

Nah it's a 1.6 Vtec, so I've effectively got multiple camshafts, at different RPMs the engines computer can activate different lobes on the camshaft. So I get the the benefit of low and high speed camshafts.
For example my friend has a Clio Sport 182 Cup that has one cam that kicks in at 5,000 rpm. So it's only active at and above that RPM, mine is active pretty much all the time.....I think
What is a VVTi? All I know is the sportier Toyota's have them.

VVTi= Variable valve timing intelligent, it works differently to Vtec but is a similar result. My understanding is that both systems are fitted to higher tuned engines and basically hold them back to save fuel. When you floor it you get the full standard potential of the engine. Mine works using exhaust gases.....somehow
Your system shouldnt be high power until you reach a point in the rev range, next time you drive it shift early to 2nd and floor the car. See if you can feel it come in and note the x000 it comes in at I reckon about 5 as a guess.

Firstly your underage, secondly who the hell goes to a club on a Tuesday night?!?!
I'm pretty sure ETID all you will find is 50 year old women, prostitutes, ( so you can get "knee deep in clunge" if you reeeaaaallllyyy want to but I would strongly advise against it) and your average creepy stalker like men who set their sights for the only slightly attractive women who steps in the door.
Unless of course it's an under 18 affair, either way it's going to be pretty tragic


Oh Brett, I tried it and I didn't really feel anything kick in properly, but acceleration did pick up at about 4000rpm.

Yeah well thats your vtec anyway mate. Not as good as a charger but better than nothing I checked VVTi and I get less of an increase in the MR2 but its available throughout the whole rev range. You should buy mine

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to bump the thread up with a few things:

Firstly could people refrain from inviting random people from their friends list please? If someone wants to join they have to register on here, or message me via PSN. If there is room/if I want them to join I will let them in.

Secondly no one apart from me, or the person who's lounge we are in are allowed to change the room settings. One person in particular was changing the settings to what THEY wanted to do, it does not work like this. I will add this to the OP.

Thirdly in dirty nascars people are only allowed to go backwards if they have no chance of winning, for example if it's lap 7 and you are taken out and are too far back to win you are allowed to go backwards. You are NOT allowed to go backwards from lap 1 because you want to.

And lastly could people please refrain from making highly irritating random noises on their mics please, from when I joined to when I left I couldn't have a conversation with someone because people were making stupid noises, and reading joke after joke after joke. Sandman joined and I said "hello mate, how are you?" 5 times, but because of the incessant noise he couldn't hear.
