Nope. It was on a stand at the 1997 Motor Show at the NEC... :D

Pah, the only rare cars I see are at auto shows. :(

On the streets, I've seen a Lotus Esprit (rare for the states, anyway), a Lamborghini Countach, a handful of Vipers, and I saw a Maserati Quattroporte about 4 or 5 months ago (an undesguised pre-production model, I assume).

At church:
a Countach, Viper, NSX, Testarosa
Other places:
Mucielago, R34 GTR, Maybach, all kinds of Ferrris, Diablo SV ,tons of vipers, all kinds of porsches, Bently's, Rolls royce's and other cars that lapse me at the moment.

Vector M12 at a car show.

Concept Beetle DUNE at car show.

Custom Aviant from the 70's redone by a custom shop, complete remake at a car show.

Ferrari Enzo on the highway next to me.

Ferrari F40 on the highway next to me.

Driven an NSX Type - R.

Driven a Porsche GT2.

Sat in a Buggati EB110.

Bugatti EB118 and EB218 in a car show.

List goes on...

Well, when I went to the ferrari dealership in Toronto, I saw some VERY nice cars that day. 2 Challenge Stradales (one in the garage, one on the dealership floor), plenty of F355's and 360's, two 550's a 550 Barchetta, and an Enzo! And there was also an M5 in the parking lot!

I saw some very rare cars at the auto show this year, BAR Honda F1 car, Evo VIII (only 2 of them in Canada), Maybach, Mercedes McLaren SLR, and the Saleen S7.

I nearley got run over by a speeding F50 once. I could hear it but couldn't see anything coming started to cross the road and a red F50 shot past, missed me by about 2 feet max.

You should've let him hit you! He would've been a rich bloke. Think of the compenation settlement you could've got out of him!! :D

If you had survived obviously..... (Hmmm, maybe that's a slight flaw in the plan!)

The surviving part is a pretty major part when you think of it :) . Only a slight flaw, I suppose I could've fell over as it went past and sued him for creating dangerouse levels of turbulence or whatever you would call it when a car goes past. You can sue people for anything these days.

They're getting quite common. I usually see about 1 a day. I see more of them than I do 406 Coupes (I don't count mine!)

My next door neighbor has a 406 coupe, the 3.0 V6. Nice car, theres a guy on the next street with an RX8, but I don't see many 350Z's, I saw one the other day but I've only seen 5 or 6 of them not counting the NEC.

 reminds me of the time I nearly got hit by Michael Andretti. I was walking with my dad in the paddock area of the Toronto Indy, where it was filled with wall to wall people. And what most of the race teams did was have some of their employees go around on motor scooters. So I was walking along when Michael Andretti misses me by about 1/10th of an inch!

Also during that weekend I saw Sylvester Stalone, who was filming Driven at the time. I'd say what I heard him say, but it would violate the forum rules (lots of expletives!)

I've seen a handful of Cayennes (in fact, I've seen more Cayennes than I've seen Touregs), and I see an RX-8 everyday. Usually the same one – A lovely gun-metal color.

Whats a nice black Speed 12, the only Speed 12 sold was red and it was sold to a guy from the Prodigy who lives in England.
And Exige, the guy probabl;y lives in the USA in which case alot of thoes cars are rare or rarer than you would expect. How many Chevelle's do I see on the streets in the UK, none, and I only occasionally see a Corvette unless I'm on Deansgate, then I nip into Bauer and Miller and look at the Lamo's and TVR's and the odd Ferrari and they have some US muscle there as well.

This black Speed 12 that is on page 3 of this topic

And heres another pic of it
TVRSpeed12b.jpg

Oh, that black Speed 12. Thats a nice Speed 12, I saw that race once it spun and another car took the back end off it.

In the USA they are, considering:

- It's a 1.8
- It doesn't have 400hp
- It's light
- It's not actually sold there yet :D

Is this really how non-US people think it happens?

Do you know that more Ford Crown Victorias are registered new in the city of New York to fleets than to all private buyers east of the Mississippi river? GM and Chrysler don't even sell rear-drive sedans anymore, let alone large ones. Excluding the Viper, Corvette, and Mustang, American companies don't even make cars with more than 240hp anymore - the most powerful non-performance cars in this country come solely from Japan and Europe.

Is that 240bhp statistic true? Shocking. I guess the Grand Prix has 260bhp, and the Bonneville SSEi has 275, but they're the only two other exceptions I can think of. Did you know the Hummer has less horsepower than an Impreza Turbo? Three times the torque, but it's still a cool statistic.

'scuse me if I'm wrong, but isn't the upcoming 300C a rear-drive car? (Ooh, speaking of that, I actually saw one about a month ago – another undisguised pre-production car, I assume. Incidentally, I saw it less than a mile from where I saw the Maserati Quattroporte.)

What abour the current 300M, the higher end Caravans have excess of 250HP, Wasn't there a Turbo Pontiac Sunfire slated for release soon? That thing has over 200bhp. That SuperNeon has got quite a formidable aray of firepower as well... The Chrysler Concorde. Both the Camaro and Firebird.

BUT! The best example are the SUVs!!!
GMC's entire lineup is outrageous. A Yukon Denali could crush a small elephant. The Navigator, Explorer etc... IMHO SUVs are just too damn big for this planet.

I don't mean to offend anyone OR start a flame, I'm just stating my opinion. Got a problem? PM me.

On Topic: Same with me, I've seen more Cayennes than Touaregs...
