You're not wrong, but it's not for sale for about a month.
What abour the current 300M, the higher end Caravans have excess of 250HP, Wasn't there a Turbo Pontiac Sunfire slated for release soon? That thing has over 200bhp. That SuperNeon has got quite a formidable aray of firepower as well... The Chrysler Concorde. Both the Camaro and Firebird.
First, I said the limit for cars was 240bhp. So:
300M - 250bhp. An exception.
Caravan - Not a car, but it doesn't matter because the top engine is a 215bhp 3.8.
Turbo Sunfire - Not yet for sale, and won't be - if it ever is - for at least two years.
SRT-4 - 230bhp. Not more than 240.
Concorde - 250bhp out of its top engine, also an exception.
Camaro - Cancelled.
Firebird - Cancelled.
Move the limit up to 260bhp, and there's only one domestic non-performance car above it. Keep the limit at 240 and there's just four. We aren't as in love with horsepower as we used to be (or as anybody thinks we are)
BUT! The best example are the SUVs!!!
GMC's entire lineup is outrageous. A Yukon Denali could crush a small elephant. The Navigator, Explorer etc... IMHO SUVs are just too damn big for this planet.
Yeah, but US SUVs aren't the problem. Have a look at Japanese SUVs here in the US - Lexus has more SUVs (three) than any Domestic luxury brand, and Toyota makes five, the most of
any brand. The "elephant crushing" Yukon Denali is smaller than any long-wheelbase minivan, and six to nine inches shorter than its closest Japanese-brand rivals (Nissan Pathfinder Armada and Toyota Sequoia). Explorers aren't big; the Explorer is the same length as an Accord or Camry.
