Thursday is going to be one he'll of a race, gonna take some serious concentration and pit stops. How we going to work the quali Homes?

Carbonox
At least please don't make quali any longer.

I agree.... but how do we keep it down to 10min if it takes 8 min to do one lap. We should Qualify on the Nurburg GP track. What do u think?

Qick one and I have to verify this. I have been told that the used car section refreshes by 6 cars after every race. So A quick and dirty is to go into the licence section, then click next x5 and then the used car list should refresh. Will test this tonight.

Type "GT5 cheats" on google and there is a whole list of dirty little secrets you can use, that being one of them. I think all u have to do is start race or licence and it updates. Cars galore!!! Hope you got lots of money. Lol. I've been looking 4 an Australian V8 for 3 months now:(

Hey guys. My computer has been giving me a bit of trouble for a few days so I have been out of action.

Thursdays race will take over 2 hours so I propose we skip quali completely and just start in reverse championship order...

If we stop practice at 20h15 gmt then we do ballast and go to track BUT NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO EXIT THE PITS AND START DRIVING. When everyone is in the pits we go to track in reverse championship order (each driver leaves the pits and starts driving) then when we 'start race', the driver who has made it the furthest round the track will be on pole and 2nd furthest will be 2nd etc etc...

Theoretically, the lowest placed driver in the championship will be the furthest round the track assuming he has not crashed or been overtaken...

Hey Canu, no wories i will get you one. Them Holdens keep popping up in my list. I have waited 8 months for the R390 and finally on saturday, one appeared. I will send you one of them ozzie things.

Shweet!!!! Thanks Zuat. Maybe I got something u need, let me know. Actually, I don't even know how to send a car. Lol!

2 hours? I have school, so probably won't come around unless you start a lot earlier...

Holly crap! That's going to be one hectic challenge! pp ballast and starting at the back of the grid. It's really tough to pass on this track unless the guy in front makes a big mistake. This could be the race of the season! Can't wait!

I'm only getting home from work 10min before the race starts, so we can't start early. Sorry Carbon. You're young, I'm sure you can handle a little less sleep if all us old boys can! Lol Come race!

So..... has anyone broken 8min yet?

I did a 7:57:632 last night and was doing 7:58-59 this whole week at a push.... Was averaging around 8:01-05 most of the time though
Highly unlikely that I will be able to keep that pace in the race.. not to mention the mistakes I will make:sly:

BTW, what is the 'bonus 7pp at any race' award for? :sly: It's been so long that I don't even remember...

So starting yesterday afternoon GT5 supremo, Kazunori Yamauchi, started tweeting out what we can expect in the Gran Turismo 5 Spec 2.0 update. It was also announced that the update will be released on the 11th of October, coincidentally that’s the same day Forza 4 is released… I wonder if they knew that. So what’s the update going to have I hear you ask? Well thanks to dualshockers I don’t need to collate all the tweets myself, the GT5 Spec 2.0 update will contain the following
1.Simplified interior view added to all standard cars.
2.User control of the weather change feature.
3.Added a setting sheet feature allowing you to save multiple car settings.
4.Spec 2.0 opening movie.
5.Improved UI usability and response.
6.Replay rewind and fast forward.
7.Ability to save during a race
8.Online Lounge Expansion (Ability to narrow down car types via search, shuffle races).
9.Expansion of the B-Spec remote race you can play from GT.com (a graph display now shows changes in race rankings.).
10.Expanded Photo travel features. You can now take photo’s of cars together with your avatar.
11.Added a “NASCAR Pit Scene” stage to Photo Travel
12.Added eleven 2011 model NASCAR cars.
13.Added the Nissan GT-R N24 Schulze Motorsport.
14.Improved physics and AI.
15.Support for the Logitec G25/G27 Steering wheel.

Honestly that’s a pretty poor showing to try and rival another games launch with. The only exciting part is really the 12 new cars but it’s not like GT5 was short of cars in the first place and as NASCAR is stock car racing the 11 NASCAR car’s added does feel a bit like a cheap cash in not to mention if this first screenshot below is the new interior view for standard cars then there really is a lot to be desired.

Now all that’s left to do is sit back and wait for the GT5 defence force to arrive and tell us all how amazing that interior view is and that I’m just hating on a PS3 title because someone has paid me to.

Darn, I hope that spec 2 update info is not complete and there are other major improvements.

Points update:

Holy crap that's fast!!!!!

Thats running it with no wing in front at all... but going at that pace destroys your tires....I could do only the warm up lap (at a medium pace) and two flying laps and then have to come in and change....

I don't think we r doing a warm up lap tonight? And I'll be surprised if anyone can get more than 3 laps without stopping. Maybe Driver can, he is really easy on tyres. this race is going to be slot more fun than we think. Atleast Will is looking forward to it!
