Thursday is going to be one he'll of a race, gonna take some serious concentration and pit stops. How we going to work the quali Homes?
CarbonoxAt least please don't make quali any longer.
worduphomesHey guys. My computer has been giving me a bit of trouble for a few days so I have been out of action.
Thursdays race will take over 2 hours so I propose we skip quali completely and just start in reverse championship order...
If we stop practice at 20h15 gmt then we do ballast and go to track BUT NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO EXIT THE PITS AND START DRIVING. When everyone is in the pits we go to track in reverse championship order (each driver leaves the pits and starts driving) then when we 'start race', the driver who has made it the furthest round the track will be on pole and 2nd furthest will be 2nd etc etc...
Theoretically, the lowest placed driver in the championship will be the furthest round the track assuming he has not crashed or been overtaken...
Carbonox2 hours? I have school, so probably won't come around unless you start a lot earlier...
Oh well pity..... but more points for everyone else![]()
i may not be the quickest but ilove the track at nightIt's a crappy track 4 everyone..... well except Scale, he absolutely flys around there!
So..... has anyone broken 8min yet?
If I race tonight - I am saying sorry already.
zuatSo starting yesterday afternoon GT5 supremo, Kazunori Yamauchi, started tweeting out what we can expect in the Gran Turismo 5 Spec 2.0 update. It was also announced that the update will be released on the 11th of October, coincidentally that’s the same day Forza 4 is released… I wonder if they knew that. So what’s the update going to have I hear you ask? Well thanks to dualshockers I don’t need to collate all the tweets myself, the GT5 Spec 2.0 update will contain the following
1.Simplified interior view added to all standard cars.
2.User control of the weather change feature.
3.Added a setting sheet feature allowing you to save multiple car settings.
4.Spec 2.0 opening movie.
5.Improved UI usability and response.
6.Replay rewind and fast forward.
7.Ability to save during a race
8.Online Lounge Expansion (Ability to narrow down car types via search, shuffle races).
9.Expansion of the B-Spec remote race you can play from GT.com (a graph display now shows changes in race rankings.).
10.Expanded Photo travel features. You can now take photo’s of cars together with your avatar.
11.Added a “NASCAR Pit Scene” stage to Photo Travel
12.Added eleven 2011 model NASCAR cars.
13.Added the Nissan GT-R N24 Schulze Motorsport.
14.Improved physics and AI.
15.Support for the Logitec G25/G27 Steering wheel.
Honestly that’s a pretty poor showing to try and rival another games launch with. The only exciting part is really the 12 new cars but it’s not like GT5 was short of cars in the first place and as NASCAR is stock car racing the 11 NASCAR car’s added does feel a bit like a cheap cash in not to mention if this first screenshot below is the new interior view for standard cars then there really is a lot to be desired.
Now all that’s left to do is sit back and wait for the GT5 defence force to arrive and tell us all how amazing that interior view is and that I’m just hating on a PS3 title because someone has paid me to.

OneManRiotI did a 7:57:632 last night and was doing 7:58-59 this whole week at a push.... Was averaging around 8:01-05 most of the time though
Highly unlikely that I will be able to keep that pace in the race.. not to mention the mistakes I will make![]()
Holy crap that's fast!!!!!
