The Rolex Sports Car Series /Help Plan Season 2!/

Anyway, on topic of the upcoming race- I ran a couple laps earlier offline, did a 4:01 with full fuel. I think Online I should be able to do that again, probably go a little faster. So probably a 3:59, maybe a 3:58.

Please don't. I only just got to a vulnerable 4:03.0

I have thrown the kitchen sink at it, and I think I have found something. I ran a 3.31.250 online.
Ok I know you want to make your car go fast, but throwing a kitchen sink at it? That's cruelty, that poor car... :D

Also, I tried the Bentley Speed 8 around Sarthe as a bit of a test, and I hit a 3:34.661. I ran max downforce, so I could take that last couple sectors without really taking my foot off the gas.

As for the Viper... I've only just got into the bracket, but 4:00.816 is my personal best so far. The thing is though, I messed up the entry into Mulsanne Straight chicane #1, quite amusingly, and was a bit dodgy with the car into the last few corners.

Tez, thats about what I am getting also. I too have max downforce. Tune isnt where I want it to be. I really should be going softer with my setup.

I didn't feel comfortable with the setup I ran with the Viper, though. Sure it was a second faster, but I didn't really feel I had that much control. I've done a 3:59.6 unofficially, since I cut a corner enough to warrant the game invalidating my lap. Mind you, you could get penalised for corner-cutting just by sneezing on the curb on some tracks. Again, didn't feel comfortable with the setup.

Viper should be faster here with more power. Hows the tire life looking though?
I doubt it will be faster, though.

The tyre life is looking to be about 3 laps, possibly 4 if I want to risk it. I could happily do 4 laps coming out of the pits though, methinks. I could soften the brake balance and brake earlier, and maybe push the car to a comfortable 4 laps, with a possible 5 laps out the pits, but 3-4 sounds ok to me, if the DP drivers are hitting 5.

No sinks or cars were hurt in my setup process.

Or, it turns out, even just by landing a jump at full-speed; Rally level 9000+.

Yeah, that time trial at Toscana... I`m proud of my results there.

Best I can squeeze out of my tyres is 4 laps, MAYBE 5 from the pits. My time on the stint I did with my newer setup, and the way I'm braking earlier and what not, I'm looking at around 4:00 - 4:03 from the first 3 laps, and between 4:06-4:09 for the pit-in (4:11, but to be honest I had a bad 4th lap due to early mistake shaving my left rear a little, one of mine was a 4:07 into the pits once, so...).

I'm definitely not feeling confident.

Just make sure you go into it comfortable with the car. I try to make sure I know how the car is going to act as the race goes on and the tires wear down. Well cept for tonight in ALMS. :(

I hope not, Nirv! I want to see you trying to fight the front runners into turn one, WITHOUT bailing off.

Hey guys, i should be able to make the race tonight. Ive been busy every saturday since i signed up but im not doing anything today. Guess i should probably practice later on, but more than likely i think ill be there.

Nice! Two corvettes?! Damu, you going to be here?!

Damu, I think, already said that he will be. Just remember, guys, 4:30 GMT-5 (EST) for the ITCC, and then the room for the Rolex will open.

Otherwise, Kevin, good to hear it, man!

I'm running 4:03's, so fighting may be asking a bit too much of me

Once you get the draft, it'll be fine. We're going to Le Mans. Drafting is everything here. Tire strategy and fuel strategy will probably be forgotten amidst the anxiety to get draft. If I'm not leading, I'm just going to follow the car in front of me...

I'm probably getting put in a wall SOMEWHERE along the pit straight... At least, if nothing else, I did apologize.

No no no, dont even worry about it. It really wasnt that big a deal, whats done is done. Im just looking to have a good clean race here, the past 3 weeks havent been so kind to me in ALMS and im just ready to get out there and have a nice race. It takes a while to learn give and take with the drivers around you though, some are more aggressive than others.

And when it comes to pit... 💡 "GO! Kevin spun!"

Cruunncchh... "Did I just hear an M3 hit the pit wall?"

Oooooppps...
