The Rolex Sports Car Series /Help Plan Season 2!/

Hey! I'm getting on, join me for some practice!

And for some discussion. :scared: YOU ALL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I MEAN. And it's better that way. :sly:

The dog's just begun to plead, dance and wag his tail... I should walk him, before the rain, and the racing starts.

I will be able to make the race tonight. I have stabilized my lap times around 3.36.xxx. I can go 4 solid laps on the tyres. I hope we have a good turnout.

Finishing order:

Dp:
1.shin
2.cnd
3.Anthony
4. FH

Gt
1.Seth
2.Kevin
3.mrmel
4.storm
5.damu
6. Polar

I got d/ced on the last lap.... Oh well! I would've finished last anyways... I had to make at least 2 extra stops because when it was raining hard my tire wear was horrific!

Peugeot 1 2 finish in dp. I was catching shin, but I realized I was dangerously close on fuel. I ended up losing 16 seconds in the last 2 laps. I had a slight run in with damu. We were both trying to get out of each other's way and ended up failing. Everyone raced clean and hard. I appreciate the opportunity to race in this great series. I did have 2 or 3 cuts. It was not intentional. I ran the first few laps on racing soft. Good job shin and FS83

Don't worry about the cuts! As long as you don't pass someone using a cut, you're fine! Thanks for racing with us!

Great showing tonight! just a few more DP guys and we'd of had a full field!

I was slipping a lot on the entrance to the chicanes, and at mulsanne corner. I pit early to get on intermediate tires. I think that won me the race in GT. Kevin and Storm were faster on the straights, but in the brake zone I could catch them up. The rain threw a wrench to the race, but still was fun.

I stayed out too long on slicks, and had a lower downforce setting than I would've liked. So I think I may be a decent drifter after that race! Lol! And I had at Least 2-3 extra stops because of poor tire wear...:( that sealed my fate. I had fun going around le mans by myself thought :)

Is the Laguna Seca race worth double pts? I know it is in the NAEC which makes the race long. I personally like Laguna Seca. My 2nd favourite track in the game.

It's one of my favorites too! And we aren't really doing the naec this season, for the first two races in it noone really showed up :( we will next season if attendance is like it is now!

Inconsistencies in driving between me and Nirv meant that once we were behind it was all over. The race definitely would have been a lot closer between the GT class if not for that, as I was checking the times and noticed that when we weren't making mistakes (towards the end, when it was too late anyway) the lap times Nirv and I were doing were competitive with the front three drivers.

I'm gonna put this disappointing race down to lack of experience, methinks.

I will try my hardest to be there. Work might keep me away. The Peugeot needs some work. It showed my lack of proper preparation. I was the slowest by far. I would have been lapped if the rain wouldn't have saved me. I ran a 3.55.xxx in the height of the storm. My setup worked great when the track was a river.:)

Still I hope the NAEC is around next year.

Yeah... After this season's officially over, I'm going to revisit the NAEC points standings... After finishing 2nd at Daytona and winning at Indy... :) :sly:

But, Storm, I did horribly on the last three laps. I thought the track was going to dry faster... I thought that the Intermediates would have to pit. I was so wrong. I had a chance to catch Seth, though, and I wanted to take it. I had to try something to try to take the win away from Seth. In the end, it cost me more, since Kevin passed me, while I was on softs, because of the braking (and the horrible brake bias I have.)

I never even considered that it might rain at Le Mans. So, naturally, I had my torque balance 80 or 90% to the rear, brake bias extremely high in the rear, etc. to get better front tire life. It turned out, though, that the tire life wasn't important at all, and that 50/50 torque bias, and a better brake bias would've secured me the win. I just didn't even consider the possibility.

And... on to Laguna Seca. I will win this championship... it only takes one position over Seth, and I win.

With Seth and I, both being tied at 470 points, it's immediately going to be clear who wins and who loses... It's whoever wins the race, wins the championship. Storm's not out of it, if Audi doesn't win, and Storm does... I mean, if Seth and I take each other off in turn one... and Storm wins...... Storm would win the championship.

For me to win the Championship, I have to WIN, AAAAAND both Audi's can't finish any better than 5th. I doubt that'll happen.

ok so all storm needs is him 1st, Kevin 2nd, and me & polar going Super Saiyan for 3rd and 4th and some new guy 5th

And that is why we run the race:sly:

You see? Storm, you've just got to relax man. There's a chance.

When you're frustrated, in the rain, it'll show. You'll brake too hard, hit the throttle too hard, turn too sharp on corner entry...

That's one reason why I started to lose time on Seth. I started imagining losing to Seth again, and got frustrated.

The same thing works, to a lesser extent, in the dry.

But, in the ITCC race 1, today, I just drove... I didn't think about championship implications, or where I was going to finish, and my best lap was a second faster than qualifying pace! It's just about relaxing...
