I made sure I won during the race today Mr.M! I don't want to brag, but I took an unnecessary pit stop while I was on rain tires just to get fresh rain tires. When the track dried the car handled differently, so I pit for a new set to get the feel for fresh rains' on a drying but wet track. I only did 4 laps on them, but with the track drying I wanted to be sure not to run off the ones I was on. I could have stayed out and just pit for the intermediates in 2 or 3 laps. But I got on the wets since the track was still around 75% wet. I stayed on them then pit for inters when it got to around 50%. Then when the track was around 35% I pit again for soft tires in the last stint for 2 1/2 laps.

One would think you'd come to your own series races, but then again....

But, then again, you're not me... James, you're not me...

Because I organized and am running the ITCC, I go to those races. You could really come to these races more often. Or, you could pass your responsibilities on to someone else. If you're worried your internet's going to die (since it probably is,) then maybe you should fix that, and come, or pass on your responsibilities to a different, responsible person.

And, Seth, you were 10 seconds faster than anyone else in the full 100% rain. You made sure that you won, by being fast. Plain and simple. I had a horrendous tune on it, but I would've come second, if I had've gone to intermediates with 4 laps left, instead of softs.

I know this is a little off topic, but did you guys see Belle Island today? Action Express 1 2. Kind of like Peugeot 1 2 at Le Mans.

Seth WAS the class of the field today... Again! DP guys, watch out! At first I thought kevin was going to kick us all in his first race... Then it rained, and rained, and rained, and rained (wouldn't it be cool if there was thunder and lightning?!) and Seth just went into beast mode! I however went into drift mode... Not fast at all!

I saw a rainbow as the rain began to slow down. It was over Tertre Rouge, and another was over Hunaudières.

I thought that was pretty epic.

Wish I saw it! ...was it a double rainbow?... After nuke town on black ops... Ya never know what games will throw in as a fun little extra!

I saved the replay, so tomorrow or later tonight I may take some pictures to see if I spot that rainbow. Before the race day I did some practice laps offline. I noticed that this track has really hard braking that would favor a forward brake bias on the R8. Usually I run the rear higher to help with tire wear to even it out. Today I ran it 7/4 and ran the power at 15/85. I also ran downforce at 35 out of 40.

Don't watch me.... This was a really embarrassing race for me... Plenty of solo spins, and don't even get me started on that final chicane! And I think I may have to take a look at my brake pedal, or how well it's plugged in. I wouldn't brake for the musalane straight chicanes or the final chicane sometimes, and I believe the game said "NO abs on 1 for you! Your going hard core with 0 abs!!!" I know I had it on 1 but it didn't kick in sometimes!

Wow. Between the aero and the brake balance, no wonder you were faster than I was.

Yes, my TV's a little off, but, I definitely saw it. If you guys don't see it, I'll definitely put it up.

And, no Polar, it wasn't truly a double rainbow. It was a rainbow, and then a 90 degree turned rainbow.

"DDDDOOOOUUUUUBBBBLLLLLEEE RAINBBBOOOOOWWWW!!!!" Not quite. Very close though.

I loved how it was right when the sun was rising, (meaning that the Sun's rays would be much more likely to reflect in our eyes) and that the rainbow appeared between the Sun and me.

I think GT5 and PD are great with the graphics. Don't anyone else say differently. Now, though, can we please get tracks that dry off sooner/more realistically? If you watch a race, and it rains, and then stops, consider the amount of laps it stays wet for. It's like 5 laps until a dry line emerges, and like 15 until the track is FULLY dry.

F1 2010 did it....

I lived f1 2010, a little more than 2011! But the lack of each teams steering wheel in 2010 REALLY bothered me... But it was still fun!

Was? IS! I broke my Xbox wheel playing that game... "Shift up! Shift up! Snap the gear lever!"

Hence why I'm here... I thought "I can't drive a Formula 1 car without a steering wheel."

And, I still can't drive an F1 car without a steering wheel. :indiff:

I still used the same wheel I used when I was 8! Until this Christmas when I got a g27! I still use that Logitech driving force every once in a while, I like how the wheel kinda feels better than the g27's more just circular rim feel.

Grrrrrr... I have $150 in my wallot, but, my parents would kick me out if I bought a wheel. I REALLY WANT ONE.

It makes the world a better place! (if you have the supplies to make it good) see, I didn't know we had tv trays, so I didn't want a new wheel because my old one had this thing where we're you clamp the wheel down to the table or whatever, it came with this thing to put between your legs and it kept the wheel still(er) that just having it floating freely. My friends want to buy that off me, nope! I love that wheel too much to sell it! My sister's been using it for some nfs shift 2. And I have too many good memories with friends that have moved and stuff playing old NASCAR games with it...

It would be really cool if the dry line formed on the racing line. Makes sense rather than the whole track drying off at the same time.

+1! It would make tire choices a bit more interesting too! Like if there was a dry part, you want slicks, but in order for your to get past a guy on inters, you'd have to venture on to the wet off line. You'd have your hands full! I think it'd be great fun!

+1, man.

I think we have a general idea of what we want from GT6. The list is: better connection, more tracks, and a dry line that appears before the rest of the track is dry.

Right. So, now, we figure out where Polyphony Digital is taking its feedback from, and flood the heck out of it, but, with all of us. :)

Polar, Kevin only beat me, because I thought his tires would overheat. Surely his tires would've overheated, if there had've been a dry line. But, I think Storm and Nirvana could possibly have switched to softs sooner, and also tried to catch Kevin, if there had've been a dry line.

Meh, oh well, it's in the past.

What do you mean, of course they look at the Rolex sports car series on gtplanet, pshhh, why wouldn't they?!

Oh yeah! Of course they do, because it's the best possible representation of the fun, thrills and excitement that their online competition offers! And, no, it's not the ITCC, not at all. :D :sly:

Anyways, does anyone have any coverage of the actual Rolex race? When I'm all alone after my health-exam on Tuesday, I need SOMETHING to do.

*PLEASE NO SPOILERS FOR GT CLASS* I don't want to READ whether or not a Mazda or BMW won in GT. I don't want to READ whether an Audi lost or whether an Audi lost... (poor Audi drivers in real life, they could do so much better)

They usually put the races on their website about a week after they take place, not sure if that'll help. Maybe speed will show a re run after the "cup" race tomorrow.

Cup race? They're showing the Clio Cup? Since when?

Oh, sorry, did you mean NASCAR? Ooops, I forgot about the existence of such a game...
