james6653No I'm out of school I got out Friday
polarbear345Just race if possible... I read that it's illegal to skip ads though....
james6653Exactly so I will do the whole thing
polarbear345I think were all on different pages.
James- your recording the real race?
MrM- you can't do visuals for the intro, James can?
james6653I'm getting off so I can get started
polarbear345Why are you recording the real races?
MrMelancholy15I just need someone to capture the online races with a capture card.
Unfortunately, so far as I know, there's no way to upload races from the PS3 to the computer.
I mean, that if someone sends me the replay, I can add all the commentary, mix and master for sound quality.
james6653Everyone PM your cell number even it can't get video
polarbear345...too far...
MrMelancholy15James, that's a little creepy. Scroll to bottom. You say you have an HD PVR?
Read this please! The last post, written by daan, a Super Moderator here at , says that an HD PVR will enable an upload, somehow.
james6653Never mind I will just put what I have on YouTube and you guys can tell me what you think here
MrMelancholy15If we have an HD PVR, I'd prefer that. Cameras use a very sensitive form of microphones (generally, to be technical, I imagine they use cardioid microphones) which tend to pick up EVERY LITTLE sound the entire way around the room. For example, telephones are designed to use a very direction specific microphone (at the "mouthpiece" of the phone) designed to pick up specific frequencies (40-2000 Hz) in a very specific direction (directly out, towards the mouth of the speaker.) This is why phones don't pick up much background noise. Cameras, though, are quite the opposite. They pick up everything 340 degrees around the camera. This means, that at birthday parties, etc. everyone can hear what everyone says, and they don't have to speak directly into the camera.
So, unless you plan to set up the camera, and leave the room while the replay just plays (heheh, I hope you have good batteries on that camera) and there will be no sounds at all, except the roar of the engines, it's not the best idea for sound quality, let alone the image quality.
If HD PVRs are capable of "capturing" the audio and video in a raw video format (.avi or .wmv or .mp4) then that's probably our preferred choice for quality.
polarbear345Or, if you have a Facebook, join mrM's itcc group. If he lets you put pictures for Rolex on there, great. (plus since your in itcc, you should join)
polarbear345I'm talking about my phone... It does hd, but of course as its not a capture card, it's not ideal.
james6653Maybe we should make a page for the rolex series
Maybe we should make a page for the rolex series
MrMelancholy15Well, if I can figure out what's wrong with it, (I put brand new batteries in it and it shut down two minutes later, saying "Battery dead.") I have an HD camera.
I got it for Christmas, but, it's not new. My mom found it on the ground, at a park, put up some ads trying to find the rightful owner, gave up, and gave it to me.
I thought it was cool... 'til I tried to turn it on, and realized "Hey, it's not working."
But, by all means, if someone CAN somehow managed to aim at the replay, without much background room showing, and no background sound, then, by all means, go for it. Try running your TV a little louder than normal, to drown out the background noise, and give us the sound of the glorious V8s...
MrMelancholy15On it!
james6653Ok well does anyone else use their DVR to record rolex and continental tire if so would they please tape with phone or something then YouTube so we can all look and by the way I added a video to a idea playlist for the series
polarbear345MrM created the group... James? Care to join?
