The Rolex Sports Car Series /Help Plan Season 2!/

I'd prefer Fuji F and a Road course to equalise the cars. Are we going to Group C? If so I prefer 520hp 1000kg.

Oh dear FH... speculating about intentionally taking someone off the track? It should probably be me, because of the pit wall thing with Kevin back at Spa in ALMS, and not Anthony, since he'd probably find some incredible retaliation that would somehow cause a disconnect.

I did not understand Mel, what do you mean...?

Que lo matarías o algo... a causa de tu "personalidad" fuerte.

Es que, si él te toca, durante una carrera, lo tocas tú...

You have a bit of a temper. It's okay, but, I'm going to tease a bit. :sly: Es comico...

For those who didn't see what I was getting at, the TGTT is terrible for tuning.

However, it's marvelous for this caution system we're thinking of implementing as the imperfect 8 shape (as it crosses over twice) will pretty much guarantee crashes.

On the other hand, as there's no pit lane, damage and tyre wear will have to be considered.

I figured 520hp 1000kg would be the highest for the slowest spec car (probably Jag XJR9). Then let the others come close to it's times by giving them a bit more weight and less power. I'm going online to test them now.

I don´t have bad temper, only that I am an aggressive driver, I know that but, I am not dirty and, If any driver hit me, I am not going to hit him intentionally!! Anyway....hahaha, I want to compete at ITCC, I hope can do it this saturday because that serie has too similar performance between cars and I like that, obviusly I prefer the same car because I want to know who is the best driver, not the best car, the good of to have teammate is that you can beat him and have a real reference! I want to be teamate of seth because he is fast!

Do you know who use wheel and who use joystick...?

Could you do the same for the gt class?

Mazda rx-8 GT-415 bhp 1025-1066 kg
Porsche 911 GT3 Cup-400 bhp 1197 kg
Audi R8 LMS Grand-Am-450 bhp 1281 kg
Ferrari F458 Italia Grand-Am-500 bhp 1270 kg
BMW M3 E92-420 bhp 1186-1233 kg
Chevrolet Camaro-450 bhp 1225-1274 kg
Chevrolet Corvette-460-485 bhp 1179-1274 kg
Ford Mustang-450 bhp 1202-1250 kg
Dodge Viper srt10-acr-500 bhp 1361 kg

This is what I came up with. Hope it helps

Oh it will!!! Thanks!

No problem. It took me 2 hours, but I think it will help the series.

I found the Ferrari after a whole study hall worth of searching. So I gave up :/ but I think the Ferrari will run away at 500hp and 1270kg, but well see!

You see that the Ferrari has won twice already this year. The Audi looks a little over matched. The Mazda will be quick. The most difficult part was converting the weight of the cars from lbs to kg.

Yea, thanks again for the info! (just read a fix for the bf3 premium map pack, I hope it works!!!!)

If the GT5 RX-8 goes that low. I think it does, but, I have no idea. I hope so, because I'm either taking the 458 or RX-8.

Those are the obvious choices. The porsche (ruf) that I tested was very fast with similar specs. The camaro and the audi have the obvious disadvantage. I am interested to see how good the viper and vette will be.

Haha, considering the first season, I edited your post... Audi doesn't really have much of a disadvantage. I guess, that its advantage is a little "different" though. It comes out of corners better.

I'm interested to see how the ACR will handle with the 1361kg. At least I'll have room to play around with the ballast though.

The Audi will have a disadvantage next year. It basically loses 15 bhp and goes up 1 kg.

The viper might be a little slower. It gains weight and loses 10 bhp.

Most cars are somewhat heavier now though. And, that too will change tire life. And, tire life might be an even bigger deal, given the possibility of cautions.

But, there are two things that you can do on GTPlanet, that you can't do against the AI; race against someone as fast as you (the AI is slow) and race with cautions and strategy involved (the AI is stupid.)

So, I think it'll be an interesting addition to the series, the cautions and such.

But, I think we need to test on a track like Tokyo R246, or Circuito de Madrid, so we can have pit stops, and have crashes that cause damage.

So, in terms of cars, I think that we should try to balance out the differences in weight a little better... And, that we should hopefully find a way to make the cars equivalent in outright pace.

We might have to have success ballast. I know GA does not have it. We might have to tweak the actual GT class specs. As for the DP, the cars that are slower can be lighter. The Jaguar XJR-9 can weigh in at minimum. The others can just weigh more. We will have to test and see what happens.
