At least a Coyote chassis DID win a race. :) Should be a fun season.

I remember when Coyote was winning the Indy 500 and a lot of the Indy car races in the 1970s.

Wow it was that long ago. I know they do a good job with the Spirit of Daytona team. They have won twice this season.

2011 Daytona 24... Well, the entire 2011 season... I was heartbroken every time that Garcia idiot plowed it into a wall or something.

The 2011 Coyote was the nicest looking of all of the Rolex DP teams.

Yes and the stupid Earnhardt-Childress engines that failed every week.

Yeah. I obviously want around then. But AJ Foyt builds them.

I hope that Starworks wins the title this year though. Ryan Dalziel to the end baby.

We ran a few laps on Saturday. I hit a 1:38.4xx around Daytona with the R92. Someone else came in and ran a 1:37.7 but he ran 900kg, so his time was void. Also, I'd prefer NOT to have Anthony as a teammate. If he really wants the Nissan that bad I'll choose another car to drive. Nothing against him, but I would rather he be on another team so the standings are closer. Judging from what he achieved last season he should be able to score a lot of points, so teaming him up with me I think would be unfair.

I can run 1.38.8. Seth has laid down the gauntlet.

That was only after a few laps and fresh tires. So with a lower fuel run and a good clean lap I think 1:38 flat or maybe the 37's are possible. That's absolute flying IMO.

Oh yea I was running 1.28s in the ALMS race at Fuji on low fuel. I haven't done any low fuel tests yet on the Sauber Coyote.

The car you used has 580hp (in ALMS) so Fuji was a good track for it. People don't think the cars are equal, but all you have to do is spend some time with it.

Actually I just took a wild stab at the setup and got lucky. I am trying my best at the Rolex race this weekend.

Cue Mozart's fifth... DUH DUH DUH DUH... DUH DUH DUH DUH... DUH DUH DUH DUUUUUUHHHHHH!

Yeah, I somehow lost a 0.5-0.6 lead on my 1:38.834 best time one lap, so it's pretty possible to go all out and get low 1:38's. I've not really messed about with the car, and I don't plan to since I'm not running in DP.

I won't be able to attend next Saturday's race due to my cousin's wedding. Have fun guys. And don't worry, I look in this thread every time there's a new post so I'm not missing anything important. :)

The Nissan isn't the fastest car. The Sauber is easier to drive IMO. I won't be surprised to see 37's from it. The Minolta is a mystery to me, I haven't driven that car yet. All I know is during the 38.4 I lost time through the 2nd sector. I was up by 4 tenths through sector one, and was about equal through sector 2. I should have gained another 2 tenths through sector 2, so I think a 38flat was my optimum time with only 4 laps of fuel taken from it. With that said, in qualifying 37's should be the fast laps we see IMO.

I'll remind Polar, if he says anything. But, is it Sat. Jun 30th, the race that you can't make, or is it the first Saturday of July?

Sounds cool. I'll actually ensure that he knows quite a bit. *I'm saving it into my phone, every time someone says they can't make it, so no one gets "forgotten."* I had a little slip up in the ITCC preseason. One person (or two) sent me the "I can't make a message" but I don't remember if it was one person or two. Regardless, the message was unfortunately deleted.
