That's because they had the automotive company execs riding the F1 team's butt the whole time. Trust me, it wasn't the team's decision to quit. How many crew chiefs, drivers, privateer team owners, and drivers do that? Gainsco/Bob Stallings didn't win a single race last year in the Rolex series. They've recommitted to running harder and stronger this year. Rebellion racing didn't hold a candle to Toyota or Audi last year in the WEC, but as far as I know, they are committed to running the LMP1 WEC class.

I ment they got the "Win a race or we're done" From the company. I suppose we're just reading into everyone's statements too much, trying to make ourselves look right. Shocking how we go a whole season with no fighting, but can't make it through a discussion without picking apart everyone.

Whether some people can't read something that's someone's opinion without bolding their opinion and putting words in their mouth... Or we can't decide on what the people running the series can't decide on...

Have any of you GT guys picked your cars yet?

Ok, that makes tons more sense now :dopey: I do get really passionate about sports car racing as well as all racing. It is what it is.

Toyota left F1 because of the U.S. recession and the lack of innovation related to road cars in it. That's why they're in LMP1 because they can boast Hybrid power. Something they lead in globally in auto sales. That 300 million budget included getting the TMG facilities up and running and making them the best in the business. That doesn't mean they'll win races. They still lacked driver talent. Trulli-train comes to mind. So does Ralf (slower) Shumacher. They replaced him with a Timo Glock who ended up in Marussia and Trulli at Caterham. We can see what worth they have as drivers when they end up at backmarker teams.

I did some running with the R390, car is really planted. The 650hp is a lot though, makes lap times at Daytona a good deal faster than the 1:41's they were hitting at the 24.
 
I was thinking that about the R390 as well. I do recall Polar saying about not really gunning for a dead set 1:41's spec, but the car is a good 3-4 seconds up on that at 611 bhp at Daytona.

If its too crazy at the spot race, it's very easy to make it slower :)

Yep. It has a tire size and everything. The Lexus lfa is as well. I think the lfa is approved for season 2 of Mel's ITCC :P too bad the challenger tc isn't aloud :lol:

Wow that's funny. There are at least 4 mustangs 2011 or newer and about 2 of the new camaros. Plus lots of huge trucks. Our parking lot looks like a NRA meeting lol
