The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

I don't care what you've won guy. I don't know why you're telling me this. You say the Toyota is boring but you want to drive it. I'm saying if you think it's so boring, why did you switch to it? To me, you're just being a braggart. I'd appreciate if you didn't speak to me any longer. I'm not your friend and there's nothing for us to discuss. I'm here to have fun competition, so if you didn't talk to me it'd go a long way in increasing that fun factor.

...sorry cnd, you are right!

Look Seth, all that I said was ironic man, you always has a lot of excuses, you are not my friend and will not be. Just drive and have fun, you can do it!

I don't get anything you just wrote. It is a little ironic that you called the Toyota boring but you picked it. If that's what you meant?

Besides that, I don't know what excuses you're speaking of either. I have a little kid to take care of, so luxuries like a wheel with pedals and a shifter are out the window. I don't use a gamepad when I drive IRL so the differences are exponential. But I manage to keep pace with a little ds3 sitting in my dinner chair. If you consider that an excuse oh well, that's my logic on why some cars are just trickier than others.

On the friendship part, there's no reason for us to talk about that. I'm not anyone's friend here, and rightfully so as I don't personally know anyone here. So it's fine if were not friends, I never expect us to be. Maybe people get it confused when I say things like this. But being 'friends' on the game isn't 'friends' irl. That's all I ever mean. So not to be rude to anyone or whatever, but outside here I couldn't be bothered. Everyone has their own life, ya get me? 👍

I think I'll skip all these flame posts and say "aww the Audi looks lonely..."

No I shall not bend like I did for the Mazda!

Seth, as much as I understand your point about this being the Internet, you also have to understand this:

We are all reading it how you type it. It doesn't matter how you mean it, we read it how it is. A lot of the time, your comments come across as negative, and mean, sometimes even bully-ish.

You have to adjust how you word your comments, so they are taken the way you would like them to be. You are really the only one who we have this problem with.

Also, Anthony is from Argentina, and doesn't speak English natively (obviously) so he is either basing his comments off of a translator, or he is using what he has learned in a class or something. Point being, if you would just ask him to rephrase something or ask us if we can explain what he's said more.

Some of your comments towards him come across quite mean to be honest.

So, I do think that everyone will be better off if you reword your comments so they come across more friendly, and we shouldn't have many problems. That being said, I won't have any problems kicking you if things don't change. (After you showed me the comment saying you quit, I really didn't want you to come back frankly)

This is crazy guys.....

What we have to remember is that yes, this is the internet. Human beings rely on what we can see and hear in that person to disscern the correct way to interpret how what is spoken is to be taken. We don't have the luxury of seeing someone's facial expressions, or hearing their tone of voice whilst typing a message on the internet. Even in normal conversation, it can be quite difficult to read correctly into someone's words with those "prompts"; it's worse when you take those away. Remember this next time a "rude comment" is posted here; it may be a simple misunderstanding.

The double edge of this is trying to word your comments in such away as to eliminate the possiblitites of what you're saying to be misread. A lot of what people say can come across in a multitude of ways, so in order to give off the right "vibe" in a post, you do need to think a little bit about what you're going to type before hitting that "post reply" button.

It's give and take, guys. I think we can all do more to limit little things being blown out of proportion.

It's all a bunch of words taken out of context. I see people getting upset over trivial things. We don't need to be friends with someone who lives in another part of the world to race. I'm here to race and have fun clean competition. Polar, I've said it before, but I really 'quit' because no officiating was done on a consistent basis. If someone spins someone, they should give the spot back, or if they're spun they should call caution. I tried to ask over and over for consistency on that last season, but my calls for that got rejected. It wasn't 'fun' to race around with people getting treated one way (like cnd getting punished at Daytona) and it didn't carry over to someone else (with what I believe Anthony spinning me at Nurburgring and driving off). I got NOTHING against anyone here. It's like Tez says, it's just the internet. Were in a game. If you 'kick me' it's not going to hurt my feelings. It just seems like people throw these threats around and take things to heart when there's no reason to. Lets all just get away from that and focus on having a great race together.

I have a difference in opinion with Seth here. I don't think the Nurb incident last year was Ant's fault at all. I also think that I wasn't right in crashing Seth at Daytona, but I was justified because Seth cheated.

I might be taking things the wrong way, but I don't think some of it is out of context.

Thanks, looks like a good bunch. Looking forward to it! 👍

Yep! We've got some people with crazy strong egos here... Everyone wanting to get the last word in a argument... Ends in a 2+ page flame war...

That's your take. Which is why I wrote that. People take things out of context. No one can know or sure how someone means something in type.

It's just like when you think I cheated at Daytona. Well I think I held my line when I came off the banking, we still had another turn before the finish line for you to draft me. I didn't predict you'd come down off the top of the banking. With the Nurb incident I held my line towards the curbing on the left in T1, I didn't predict Anthony would come down to where I was, but I still held my line 👍 That's all a matter of how people view things differently.

From one fight to another....

The stewards this season are ment to eliminate this.

To be honest, I think Nurb was you and Anthony not liking each other and you guys not giving each other 1 inch. Then it ends in tears. And blaming lag...

The bolded part is the main part that jumps out at me. Seth, we're going into a new season now, I'd like to say fingers crossed that this issue you have will be better resolved this time around. Can't ask for much more than that right now. 👍

For the first part; true, we're not friends in the normal context. However, since we're racing together we need to start getting along with each other a bit more. If we have a problem with another racer, take the issue away from a focal point (such as a main thread) and resolve it.

For the latter part; it boils down to give and take again. If we're thinking about what we're typing (instead of the word "you're" as a collective, I used "we're") there's much less room for misinterpretation.

"That's your take" is a fight? It's just someone's differing opinion. Which is what I was saying in my reply to Anthony. People see things differently. Now that I have a way of recording things, it'll be easier to show the lag when it happens.

Have you payed attention to the last 40 posts?

If you don't think that's a fight, we're on two different planets...

Differing opinions isn't a fight. If I think I was spun that's my take, if cnd thinks it wasn't a spin, that's his take. Right? It's not an argument imo. It's how we view the same thing but differently.

Which is why I really don't think this will work, sorry.

Do you enjoy arguing?

I think he's referring to more than just that. I think the term "fight" or "arguement" here is being used in the latter of these definitions:

1. An exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one: "I've had an argument with my father".
2. A reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong.

bolded being the latter, obviously.

So let me ask you this- if two people differ on opinions of something, is it automatically an argument? No one has to agree on everything- that's the point I'm making- but you can still get along.

No, it's not a argument.

Seth, you aren't going to race with us, lets drop it.
