The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

The 1 point system just doesn't seem to work for me. It's essentially the same points system we used last season. If you miss a race, your championship is over. I'm in favor of Paul's points suggestion.

I'm open to changes. I probably won't be affected too much. :)

So it will be?

Change GT to 15 12 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1 and thats perfect đź‘Ť. (Don't seem fair that 9th and 10th get same points :P)

I ran out of numbers xD

Any ideas of how to get spread sheets up?

Glad to see we're moving onto spreadsheets. đź‘Ť

If you need help with them, ask stupidstormy36 if you need help creating and publishing spreadsheets. He's a nice person, so I hope he won't mind helping you.

Sweet!

I may screw around with it myself. I may do one for the spot race for practice!

If they change the settings to what it was in GT4 and previous, even GT5P- it'll be a good thing. I'm just curious how the downforce levels will be towards the cars, if they improve cornering and drop top speed or what.

Tire wear seems to be fixed (at least offline). From my findings so far (with my ALMS Bentley) I was able to do 10 laps at Madrid all within the 1:14s bar the last laps where I had a little mistake and went to take a picture. From before this update, I was only able to do 12 laps MAX at Madrid with the same tune. Here is a little picture, sorry for the quality, but you can see how much tire life is left after 10 laps of hard running.

over 90% tire life left, after 10 laps all in the 1:14's.

Looks like tire life is way more realistic now.

EDIT: Hurry up PSN Store. I want the HSV so bad.

What about your tunes? Any difference? And are we still running meds this season?

Unless you will be able to one stop a race on mediums, we will still run mediums.

I don't think NAEC will have that problem with one stop strategies. Time to get myself another Evora and to do some kind of endurance race elsewhere though.

Did 25 laps of Spa on a set of racing hards before they gave up. My cars spec was for a series I am planning. (385bhp/1233kgs 0,20 DF) So it's sorta close to the new GT specs, also I nearly out lasted the fuel.

If we assume a 80% length for mediums, then that would be 20 laps. 80% of that for softs would also allow a 1 stopper. Well that's a HUGE wrench in the works of tyre strategies; that are independent of cautions at least.

Pace drop off after lap 20 was a bit much though. Up until lap 20 the most I lost through some errors and less grip was 4 seconds, after 21 though it went to 5 and beyond.

Edit: Heres a picture ;).

Still means that Mediums will likely reach 15 laps. Then DP should be lapping GT quite often. Maybe if we added 20 minutes to each race (40 for NAEC) we could force an extra pit stop. Nice to see fuel will be a factor in the pits now as well

Yeah lol be funny if DPs could out last the fuel . (Doubt it though unless they use RH for a stint)

Would this mean that we could try a 2 tire set rule this preseason? Maybe that will keep the strategy in play. That will cut down on the caution flag crap where everyone pits every caution.

BTW: We are still on mediums right?

P.S. Has the update affected anyone's tunes?

Didn't affect my Toca CR-Z tune still doing 27s around Motegi in it. (But then I kept the ride height close together) If anything I think the nose up rear down gives you more oversteer now . (In FFs atleast)
