The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

All in all, with everything that went on in that race, we all made mistakes and gained from other's mistakes, so in an ideal world, I doubt the positions would have been any different. I improved on my mistakes early on, you made quick pace in the beginning and end of the race, while you had a strategy mistake in the middle followed by an uncalled incident. FH just ran a near-faultless race throughout, though took on WAYYYY too much fuel when he pitted on his first stint. The rest were quick actually, but maybe consistency lacked a fair bit.

I was probably 15 seconds ahead of FH after he made his 1st turn incident. Still not used to the update and new tire wear, because the only time I think of tire strategy is in the F10 races, and the physics haven't changed there at all. Again, I learn from my mistakes, I certainly know my pace, and this will undoubtedly signal a change by me in Fuji. Hopefully we get battles like in Fuji pre-season and Fuji last season.

I actually used fuel strategy to my advantage in that race. I took 15 seconds more fuel than Ant did on the first green stop. Then the caution came out, and I was able to short-fuel even more to beat him out of the pits. I then took maybe 8 whatever the measurement is of fuel on my last stop to win the race.

I almost caught up to cnd and anthony once... Then I was a idiot and got on the gas too quick and lost the draft- you guys just took off again.

Does anyone have any lap times for Fuji yet? I'm gonna hazard a guess at 1:42's because I'm a long way away from that. 1:42.9 was a eureka lap for me, as I have been getting 1:43.5's other than that.

Fuji is tough especially to get a good balance for the last sector and that huge straight. I remember when I was using GT I was in the high 1:40s, but that was with softs. So I think mid 1:42s will be pretty fast on mediums.

Also, if anyone is interested in my 90s LM series, the new thread is up. I'm looking for interest and fast clean drivers. Please check it out. I set it up so that there's a vote on the day and time and none of the options will interfere with this or Continental.

Is there a website that makes those graphics? I've seen like 4 threads now with them, and they're quite cool!

The car's doggy doo around here. The other cars can ABUSE pace along 100R and through the last few turns.

Well given my best lap thus far is now a 1:42.790, I'm kinda hoping the fatser guys don't match the speed I know I can find in the Lotus...

I'll be hyperspeed in the draft, though to be fair there's not THAT much difference between the cars thanks to the lower torque.

He was 11+ second quicker than me in the time trial. I currently suck at LMP cars right now, but even still..... I drove a bentley speed 8 and about every other car in the top 1000 drove a Speed 8. I was trying not to crash mind, no confidence at all...

You should be chatting on this thread :)

How did the Lotus handle out there. I wasn't sure because I didn't see it very often. I know the Ferrari and Mazda were quick. Sail also had the Camaro up towards the front. The Audi had a few issues from what I'm gathering.

Also, GOOOOOO STEELERS!!!!

I'm a Bengals fan, so you don't want to know what I think of this.

It was a lot better thanks to Storm sending me a tune. I was able to run in 3rd for the first few laps, but I fell back because I'm just too inconsistent with my lap times.

Awesome dude. 👍 Good to see you up front at least for a while. Didn't you finish 3rd in the championship last year?

Yeah, but that was because I was the only one who made all the races and didn't dc.

Hey, consistency is key. I'm sure you can get some podiums and wins this year. 👍 I'm sure your teammate can help with tuning.

With regards to the Audis, I'm not sure what happened there. I do know that I couldn't get the pace of the other cars with it though. Mind you, I got the tyre wear seriously dialed in. I think it might've been possible for the Audi to get 30 laps with more focus on consistency. I think I was hitting 1:49.6 or something, and I intentionally used 17 kg instead of 7 kg for the ballast, so I could stick it all the way to the back and take a bit of weight off the front of the car. I'll test that out now in my lobby.

See when I saw that Black and Gold Lotus (F1 Lotus Renault colours, I see :D) up the front end in the lobby on Saturday I was like, "I knew this guy was a dark horse." but the inconsistency let you down. I'm glad the tune helped though.

Edit: An update on the Audi's tyre wear, it can do a formation lap and 30 laps thereafter At Daytona. I didn't go as easy on the tyres as I was going to, and overheated them a hella lot at times. My best laps was a 1:50.06X early in the run, with the car dropping into the low 1:53's at the end. Was steadily 1:50's for half the run.

The SS handling is great as well as the tire wear. Sadly, it suffers a bit with the top end. All the power is in the middle. I could not seem to get away from some of the cars, as I would get reeled in slowly. I also have not mastered the Bus Stop 100% either, and some time was lost there with 2 mistakes as well. Great race and some fun battles. Looking forward to the next one.

I cant quite pin point the issues I had with the Audi, all I know is that I was giving it my all and I just couldn't keep up with the lead pack no matter how hard I pushed. Maybe it's just me... I dunno. On the other hand It was an absolute dream to drive at cape ring inside (shame it was pre-season) So I'm just hoping once we get to the tighter tracks I can get some decent results.

That's been what the Audi's strong suit is. The Audi is almost unstoppable at the shorter tracks.

Yep, Daytona doesnt really give the Audi a chance to show its capabilities.

Fuji I feel has a good mix. Should be some good battles there.

Audi won Fuji last year, so I think it should be good there. The Audi was especially fast in the last sector.
