The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

Congratulations Polar on his first win in the Rolex series. Great job damu on your win in GT. I just made too many stupid errors to win.

Thanks!

And sorry about that timer. I forgot to change it again after the room switch. There is now a post-it on my wheel saying "180 timer you Rodney!"

Thanks damu!

Too bad Ant's wheel messed up. I was hoping to have him competing.

Me and ant having wheel issues at the same time!

Anyways, finishing order!

DP:

1. Polar
2. CBS
3. Guto
4. Big tex
5. Ant

Gt:

1. Damu
2. Ghs ( WILL be fixed on the spread sheet xD)
3. Shin
4. Tbw
5. Sail

And excellent job guys! No cautions!

It was fine in Daytona, the inevitable happened between me and Damu there, but here, it ruined what was a close battle.

I saw you 2 running nose-to-tail the entire race. I knew it would come down to the wire. I did my best not to encroach on your battle with Damu.

Speaking of Damu, looks like Felipe Massa has found a Lewis Hamilton. 2008, of course. And the Evora might need to get looked at.

Fuji has never been my friend. You can land a jet anywhere on the track, and I still managed to spin out twice by touching the grass strips. Glad thats over. NEXT!

I may have gotten in the way once, but it was because you were on my BUTT and I needed to get a move on!

I will ask someone to, I don't have good equipment at the moment. I may pony up and buy a DFGT as a backup. Although the Blue Beast has been serving me well since I was 8...

I'm ready to move on too!

Better equipment? That wheel gave you the win!

Is there any race that you don't win that you don't have conspiracy over the winning driver's car? I'm sick of seeing it, swallow some pride would ya?

It was bad enough I got stick for it last season. The only difference this week was that Damu actually decided to practice for this race, unlike at Daytona last week where he basically just showed up with about 3 laps of practice. Look what happened there....

It HAS been treating me well since I was 8 (WOW, that's a long time!)

But, anyways, POINTS! Aren't I speedy!

If you're speaking about the chicane incident; I had overshot the braking point, and decided side on contact was better than ramming you in the rear, causing damage and having you going into the wall. I did hold back after as well.

As for the rest, well there was definite lag and huge differences in the race lines in general; but naught too serious.

Thought it was good fun, especially when the DP battle caught up.

Oh, no, he was amazing this race. It was great having a battle with him for those 40 laps. I can't take losing by a close measure, I'm more angry about the timer than the car, but I can't disprove the timer. So I took it out on the car, but I really don't question damu's skills. I made the stupid mistake. Good on him for winning. 👍

I really just hate the Evora. It's a pain to regulate. It's either too good on pace or too good on tires, this series managed to get it on a level playing field. Still, after ALMS I really hate seeing the Evora, and maybe with damu and I having a few... incidents during season 2, that sort of taints the image as well.

And as for the practice part, I get no practice before the lobby opens. I don't know how this irrelevant piece of information will do anything to support the argument, but it's here for future reference.

Excuse my after-race attitude. Whenever something doesn't go my way during the race, my mind makes it a bigger deal than it is. It takes maybe two hours before I regain my common sense. I get mighty :censored:ed after the race, then a couple of moments later I'm calm and can approach things more fair, without the bias of my personal thoughts.

So, a non-biased post-race thought:

It was a fun race, I had close battles with damu the whole way, I took a late pit stop on lap 21 because I had been given advice to do so, and this took away a large gap I had on Damu. Close racing from then on, with him having a clear advantage in the straights (I was running 10/35 downforce) and it came down until the last lap where I decided to wait behind him because I thought the timer was going to be at 3 minutes. When I saw it was 30 seconds that really got me angry, and I finished 2nd. Great racing damu, congratulations on the first win polar, and now that I realize it, I have a points gap to FH and Storm. A positive note to end on.

If I can get a consistent line at Nurburg, I'll be hitting 2:02's... already on a 2:02.9, and I'm still not satisfied. Ideally I wanna shave a second off that.

Hey Polar, the blue beast is undefeated this season

I was on a 2 win streak. I won that Irace last night, and Rolex today. I just finished 8th in the street stock. I had a perfectly clean race, so I'm happy with the SR boost.

Now on to Nurburgring GP/F. A track I've never really been good at.

I really liked last night's race, I just wanted to do a clean race and I did it; I didn't spun a single time. I was happy I ended the race just 12 seconds behind Polar, I was expecting to be around 30 seconds behind or so.

Also, I was watching the replay and realized I took a very annoying, ultra-defensive driving line when cnd tried to overtake me on the first laps.
