The RUF thread.

^I actually want a Hennessey tuned GTR, and do a race between the Ruf RT-12 and the Hennessey GT-R Godzilla 600 or 700 (Don't know which one would match up better) in GT5.

Oooo my hairs are standing....:)

The RUF RGT (basically its a Porsche GT3RS)

Its the closet thing to a top of the line Porsche that GT5 might have. I cant wait to take down some F430s and Murcielagos in this thing

Do you think the bolting on the fenders are just cosmetic or functional (as in to prevent them from falling apart at 300+km/h)?

I have 1 more ruf question, is there at least one naturally aspirated RUF?? The porsche GT3 was the main reason I wanted porsche to be in that game I mean that engine is a piece of art, but I think Ruf's version has a big turbo on it and it kind of ruins it.

The Bolt on fenders are a nod to the 993 GT2. The RGT also comes with seats that have hounstooth inserts, also a nod to previous vintage Porsches. Alois Ruf knows his Porsche history & includes many references if you know where to look.

The hybrids E-Ruf & the Greenster don't have FI, but that's not the answer you're looking for...Rufs are about turbos, which follow the tradition started by the Porsche prototypes & the 930.

as much as I love Ruf, Ruf did not make the 956. Ruf did not make the 959, and Ruf did not make the RS Spyder. nor the 550, the 944, or 914. Sad that Porsche isn't in.

^Unless the GT-R is not the Hennessey tuned GT-R..
LOL Hennessey!

If no porche i hope we will see matching models from ruf. What were the models on GT4? Kaz said that gt4 cars will be in GT5.

^ Straight from the GT4 guide on this site.

RUF 3400S 2000
RUF BTR 1986
RUF CTR "Yellow Bird" 1987
RUF CTR2 1996
RUF RGT 2000

There are more Ruf vehicles out there that PD haven't included for some reason. I just hope the RT-12 is in. :)

I hope they make a Ruf based on the 997 GT2, as the RT-12 is a Carrera 4S with a large turbo.

Edit: not a Ruf, but worthy of mentioning: The 9ff GT2, with 850 HP!

Actually, it's just a Carrera S chassis & 2 turbos. ;)

The 3400S/3600S are naturally aspirated (they rebuild the engines from a 911 & swap them into a Boxster chassis) as is the RGT.

Porsche really dont have good new leman cars. They dont compete in the LMP1 category. Whats more important for this game to have is audi leman (check) and peugot leman. Not having porsche is hardly the end of the world, i'd take ferrari and or lambo over porsche anyday.

Look at that exhaust, I love kabooms back there.

I'd love for the CTR2 to make a return, I enjoyed battles in GT3 with it on Test Course in the Turbo Car Challenge against my 1063hp Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4, which was my favorite car back then.

so who likes suv ruf got it too :) a chayen on ruf style is called dakara
