The RUF thread.

The one and only RUF I care about is the CTR Yellowbird. I would be quite disappointed really, if it won't be Premium.

:tup:The Yellowbird is awesome it was such was a handfull to drive in GT4,can't wait for GT5 to try in the wet.:drool:

That's the legendary Yellowbird on the Ring video made somewhere during the eighties, the driver is Stefan Roser, Ruf's own test driver who indeed apparantly didn't feel he needed a protective racing suit or helmet, pure unadulterated madness....love it.:)
 
I would love to see the new RGT-8 in the game. RUF just has to be included; I find it a bit intriguing not to have seen a single RUF (Premium or standard) in any of the pictures. I do hope RUFs are premium as they looked awful in GT4 (round bodied, lots of circular details).

That would be a short sighted move by PD. With the confirmed premium list we have so far, they've done upgrades of the same vehicle (ex: LP640 to LP670 SV and GT-R to GT-R SpecV) yet couldn't bother to get a new RUF? I sure hope not.

I know Kaz loves his Porsches, but give RUF some credit since they made it possible for GT games to have "911" bodied vehicles.

Theres been some pretty good RUF's that came out the last few years or so. Hope some of them make the cut :indiff:
 
Well, I say if we don't have premium RUFs in the game, that pretty much heralds a Porsche DLC in 2011..... at least, that is what I wish for. Porsche not being in GT has to be one of the most enigmatic things ever. I hope all that talk about exclusivity contract with EA is true and Porsche does not have a problem specifically with PD or vice versa.

Having said that, even if there are Porsches in the game (as DLC), I would still love to see RUFs. Some of their cars are just plain awesome.
 
I thought I saw RUF in this dealership video, right of Nissan? Which hopefully means there's at least one premium RUF in the game. :drool:

 
Don't feel too bad guys, over in the Bugatti thread they are all going through the same thing with the realisation that the Veyron is the only Bugatti and it's standard.
 
I'm just not feeling the love. They exclude Porsche, for understandable reasons, so you think they would take special care to include the next best thing for porschephiles, RUFs. But instead, they give us a full-standard lineup that's been unchanged since gt3. Pitiful...

Man what an unbelievable disappointment. I figured since Porsche isn't going to be in the game they would go all out and include every previous Ruf as well as all of the new ones and make them premium. Really makes you wonder what the hell PD was thinking...
 
RUF is useless anyway. They're Porsche without the balance and finesse, and more importantly, without the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder. I remember them from older GT games: understeer everywhere.

That means nothing, RUF is still the next best thing to having Porsche.

Very strange indeed, and i was very disappoined to learn that there isnt a single premium RUF in the game. :grumpy:

What the hell is the reasoning behind that decision ?. :crazy:
