Now *that* is what I call determination! You've hardly expressed your interest in becoming a fully-fledged Safety Car driver and you're already filling in duties. If this one goes well for you, that's quite a few pluses on your account 👍

Hello

I am the organiser of the GTP Nurburgring 24 hour race. I am looking for stewards to take part in the N24 who have safety car knowledge. I will explain in more depth if any of you guys are interested. We already have 2 stewards committed to the event but we understand that 24 hours is a long time and wish to have a rotation. @Peelster1 is one of those who has signed up for the race stewarding... Please PM me if you are interested, This race is a big race with plenty of coverage from live streams to new paper articles and a good few followers on twitter etc so we need people who can take direction and be punctual

Once again, I'm ever-so lucky with events and their dates. But on the other hand, why break a tradition?

Hey guys, I've been having some issues posting in threads here on GTP recently until now. They kept wanting me to verify my account in my e-mail and I forgot that I blocked the gtplanet e-mail address because I didn't want to manually go to each thread and turn e-mail notifications off. Anyway, after I remembered that I blocked gtplanet's e-mail, I quickly unblocked it and received the confirmation e-mail. For some reason that didn't work and I had to do it again. Seems like it finally worked though, and I'm back.

It sure seems like we're getting a lot of activity! I am now going to do an activeness check, if you are still participating in The Safety Car Club as a safety car driver please reply to this post stating so. If you were already certified on GT5 you are still certified for GT6.

This event is a great opportunity for our European drivers who have been complaining about events not be scheduled at good times for them. This is a 24 hour long event, it would be very helpful if we could have safety car drivers from around the world. We could even schedule in shifts that are appropriate for people's time zones. I have yet to meet with memto about safety car procedures, but chances are this event won't involve Full Course Cautions, but may involve Escort instead. This event will be taking place on February 22-23. For more info see the thread.

Can anyone be pace car for my series is NASCAR Worldwide series?

Hey Alan, as stated in the OP, we will need the link to your series thread for more info. Thanks!

We're always taking new safety car drivers and with Memto's 24 hour event and Speedweeks coming up, we'll need as many as we can get. First, I'll need you to apply following the process that is described in the OP. Thanks.

There is link to my series. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/nascar-worldwide-series.301366/

Least 6 drivers and pace car driver will testing with me for 2013 nascar and 2011 nascar at super speedway and road course

Testing start in march

ok, i'm in EST, usually available from 3:30 p.m.- 10:30 p.m. EST Mon-Thurs, then Sat. is all day, and Sunday I'm not available until around 7:30 p.m.
Categories: I'm most comfortable with Opener, Caution, Escort, Jr. Endurance, Endurance, and maybe Super Endurance if I slept well and am prepared for it. Hope this was easy to read. So, if this is all ok, when can i get tested?

It was really great having bgrelijah as the Pace car driver for TNR's series. He was very respectable, patient, and we hope to have him in our future series. A+

Speed: Steady. Was often right on the speed.
Pulling off to set for a Restart: A little sharp at first, but got smoother. Good.
Picking up the Field: Good timing, I see no issues here.
Driving Line: Naturally follows the racing line, he's fine as long as he focuses on the center while driving.
Knowledge of Process: Picked things up really quickly, only had a couple questions of things he was unsure of, after an explanation he had it down.
Patience: This is my only concern, he can get bored. (But not to the point where he'll start running laps or anything. I would fail for that.) I've known trobes for over a year now and I have confidence that he'll be able to sit still in his spot during Green Flag runs and preoccupy himself with a computer or something while waiting for the next Caution.

Welcome The Safety Car Club @trobes29! You did a good job today.

I don't recognize that username, he's not part of this club. Glad to hear he did a good job with your race though. We could always use good drivers. Send him our way if you can.

@matticus88, @redbullrider20 sent me an image of himself pacing a large field of cars. If I sent that picture to you, could you make it into a banner .gif for the OP with the flashing lights effect?

Important Annoucement
@strider193, @Firehound427, @Silent7Sniper7, @WanT, @MSTER232, As we're now on GT6, I need to know if you are actively using it. We also need to get together for your reviews.

@Bodyguard, @matticus88, @rallymorten, I also need confirmations from you if are using GT6. Once again, your certifications do carry over from GT5.

I'm indeed reporting for duty in GT6. Let's hope for a few more events down my time-alley to show up

And @redbullrider20, the reason I'd like to pace Matterhorn 90 is very simple: I've heard you're in a lot of different events, either as driver or SC, so:

1: I figured you could use a day-off
2: The only events so far that hasn't been at c-word in the night here has been my own ones. And I need to keep my skills sharp :)

Fair enough. Have fun. ;)

On behalf of AUEC's Total Endurance Championship, we am requesting the service of a safety car. As the name implies, it is an endurance championship, and length can vary from 2 to 12 hours long. I am personally offering payment of a $50 PSN card out of pocket for an all year safety car. Races are on Fridays (look at AUEC thread for schedule). You can either message me or TEC organizer cshardy62096. Thank you.

If you don't mind me saying, the schedule seems very inconsistent. Sometimes it's weekly, sometimes it's biweekly, sometimes there's a month between them. It makes it very easy to forget when next round is :)

Well, it's to correlate for the varying distances. No one would be able to handle doing a 6 hour 1,000km race one week, then doubling it the very next.

To add, it's impossible to forget because if cshardy62096 isn't hosting the race itself, he's hosting practices.

I am already covering it minus a few select rounds that I'm racing.(ie. Le Mans)

I know, but in terms of a full time safety car to have on call, if something should happen like last night. I would have thought Hardy had the logistics for these scenarios down pat already.
