Not long to go until we tear up the streets of Rome in our S1 Elises. Its going to be a busy grid, and for the first time ever we will be broadcast live on the internet, so lets put on a good show. Keep it clean and show respect. Some of Rome's corners are fast and narrow, so in the early stages of the race's, these must be taken with care. If you do get involved in contact which causes another driver to loose a place, please wait for that driver to regain his position. If you are in a position where you are going to be lapped, dont race the lapping car. Let them through when it is safe to do so. Lapping cars should flash their headlights to let the other driver know. Above all, have fun and race safe. See you all on the grid.👍👍👍

Well that was quite hectic. Some great close racing was had. It was a shame for the disturbance in the force, which caused Weescotman multiple DC's, as well as Goodwolf at the end of race 1. This upset the reverse grid for race 2 a little bit, but we finally got going, although a little later than scheduled. Massive thanks to Dowlin for doing the live stream,👍👍👍

As usual the full results and standings will be published tomorrow, as now is the time that the podium celebrates. Well doe to Petros, Capt_D and Third_Reign for making my job tonight quite easy in creating the podium graphics. Champagne time you three.👍👍👍

It's gonna be perfic! ;)

Bo, the world is your lobster.

Love the new Avatar Goodwolf, he who dare's, WINS.

Well I may not race with you guys but I came across the twitch tv footage through someone on facebook so I thought I would check it out and was thouroughly entertained by the commentary on the race (Which can't be easy to do). I tried to watch it on my Iphond twitch tv app but it would only allow me to have sound and just had a black screen, so I was just wondering if anybody else had this problem too, however when I went on twitch tv on my laptop everything worked perfectly and I was very impressed so once again, great job dowlin39.

Great race as always!

Could have been better for me in race 2 if I noticed that my wheel disconnected as well. I think I lost about 20 seconds so I would be fighting with TR again and that would've been awesome, especially for our viewers.:)

Have to thank my fans for watching, especially to my rivals in Croatian RSRBR (moded Richard Burns Rally) Championship who were probably cheering like crazy.

Thank you Dowlin people liked it very much and to ade as well of course, for organizing!

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for tuning in. Hopefully this will be a regular live stream, so keep an eye open for the next event. 2 weeks time see's us racing at Autumn ring mini.👍👍

Enjoyed driving my favorite car:)

First race was pretty simple. When I got in front of Cpt. D and when he and Goodwolf started changing position I new I had race in my hands.

Second one was little bit different with slower pace in first half of a race and a big mistake in lap 11 when I punted Roselundaren and ended up in a wall, which cost me around 5sec...
Similar scenario in this race to... Capt. D and Third started fighting and I gained few seconds there.Overtaking them wasn't hard becouse they both made a mistake when I was near.:indiff:

Also, having a last place in pit-stop, you have to be fast with taking ypur controller in your hands and changing tires...I almost put comfort soft on:boggled:

Fun night:)

Goodwolf what happend to you,you went straigt into the wall?
I assume controller problems:ouch:

Yes here is my earlier post. Didn't like it but didn't lost my head. All I was thinking about was not to get DC so I was going all out to gain positions and to finish as quickly as possible because in the first race it was very close to not finishing at all mate.:scared:

Didn't saw your post earlier, was writing mine than:guilty:
Too bad for your wheel, bad luck:grumpy:

I also had connection problems at first, got 4 DC in a row, later everything was good, hopefully:)

Yeah it wasn't that bad as yesterday for me and the room was full today. Glad I got pretty much the points I wished before the race. Could have been little better, but it could have been a lot worse. At the end I'm satisfied with my driving and concentration in a longer race that suits me better.

Ade, thank you for organizing this!

The first race was intense for me. The first couple of laps were a little bumpy and shaky, then did the field straighten out around me and there was a more controlled driving. Don’t remember so much, more than that I thought it was fun!

Second race was intense in another way. On lap one I lost almost the whole field after a big mistake in the fast chicane, then on the second lap I got a total stop in the 90 degree bend after Colosseum. I came on the inside of Weal and he lost his tail so we made contact and then came Wee and we had a perfect sandwich a la Weal n´Wee with extra Rosen!

Well that's racing!

After the smoke had settled I took a sturdy gulp of beer and started to try to catch up with the field. I really missed the draft from the train…

Second one was little bit different with slower pace in first half of a race and a big mistake in lap 11 when I punted Roselundaren and ended up in a wall, which cost me around 5sec...

Feeling little guilty for that one...I was on worn mediums and that together with the fact that I noticed that I brake earlier than most of you, I wish I could have warned you.

Changed tires from mediums to softs on lap 13(?).

After many laps I had visual on Weal, came closer and eventually passed him. xTehLotus (Lonely Looser) was up next but the race was a couple of laps too short…

Love racing with you!

Ade, you can be very proud over what you have created.

Cape Ring next!

I watched the race coverage last night and have to say, awesome job dowlin. I just have a small suggestion which could be easily implemented. During the coverage you allways spoke of the current pace of the drivers but usually based it on the fastest lap. I think you could use the live timing screen to your advantage in this case. The timing bars show which cars are close together, sector progress can be taken and the recent lap times are available. The small race action screen should deliver enough action for the brief time on the live timing.

Too bad you missed some the better passes up front, but awesome that everyone gets screen time in your coverage!

Cheers guys for all the nice messages, I hope you all enjoyed it aswell. As for your suggestion Third, I dunno if you were still in the room when i said this but someone asked me the same thing and I said I would've done that but I complete forgot about that whole menu, but rest assured I'll have it ready for the next one in Cape Ring.

Yeah you can use it more in a qualifying than a race of course. Loved how you showed every driver and noticed everything that was going on. Maybe you missed some overtakes but you can't show it all and you don't have a replay. Real broadcasters have them and they miss it and don't even show it in a replay. So that shows what excellent job you did.

Really good idea to go out on a track during the practice to show the track layout with a great commentary. I would have never thought of that.

Cheers Goodwolf, I made it a point to check out what every driver was doing because everyone in the race has the right to be on screen even if their not exactly the quickest or in the thickest of fighting, at least in my mind. It's only fair because were all equal in The Sunday Cup y'know.

Yeah that was a spur of the moment decision, just in case people who hadn't played GT5 that much or at all I could at least give them a brief idea of the track. I'll definitely do it again in future races.

Not your fault at all.My logic told me that you are on soft tires so that you will brake later than me...I tried to avoid you by turning left but there was no room and I touched a wall and got turned toward him.

Well, both races were intense. I knew that I could hold pace and keep up but hadn't accounted for some corner dives by others, which had me running wide into those unforgiving barriers that Rome has. It was fun none the less and I will be adding some endurance running into my practicing from now on. Just to get used to the car when it starts to get lively in the later stages, to stop a repeat of my failed 2 stop wing and a prayer strategy. A combination of the car getting lively ade making ground and Goodwolf assuming the lead all causing my change to the 2 stopper. I will have to get some pictures this evening. Great race guys. 👍

GC I was guilty at the start of pushing you into the barrier in turn one. I've watched the replay a few times and its still not clear if I got tapped in the rear which sent me into one or not. I'm sorry non the less either way!

Thanks for the apology. It's no big issue, you went on to better things. I figured that the nature of the track and some elbows out racing may have come into play. I've yet to watch the "replay" but I have seen dowlins excellent commentary.

Wow that was the most the most fun i have ever had on GTever.👍
I had two bad races but im new to the online part of g.t.
I was guilty of a few nudges during the races too but ended up badly done by two crashes that were impossible to avoid. Was great fun though, there were alot of quick drivers in the race and im glad to have been on the circuit with them.
Pity for Scotsman as he was doing really well and setting the pace.
Commentary was mint, infact the whole night was. Looking forward to some more race/practice with you guys real soon.
Anyone know if the stream is uploaded and ready to watch? be good to watch the front of the race as i never did see much of it.:)

Well round 1 is done. I had a tough couple of races, but was pleased with the positions I got considering I found myself at the back in both races. GC Gary is right in saying there was always going to be a bit of elbow rubbing at Rome, that was inevitable, and it was a bit argy bargy at the start of both races. Ive yet to view the replays fully, but will do so during the week. Race 2, the main event was intense, and I enjoyed a great battle with TEHLOTUS for several laps, until I managed to get a bit of distance and he lost my slip. It was also fun hunting down GC Gary for several laps, seeing the gap close. I started my race on the medium tyre, and made 1 pit stop after the mandatory 9 laps. Towards the end of the race I was gaining on Fuel, and if I had had a couple more laps, Im sure I could have got another place.

It was a shame that we couldnt get the reverse grid for race 2 how it should have been. Because of the disconnections, GOODWOLF and WEESOTMAN's positions were incorrect. I would have done the manual start, but with time getting on, and drivers going to the track, I had to make the call to start the race. In the event of future DC's we will do the manual start, and I will post details of how we do this later. (Just so everyone knows, as last night some drivers kept going to the track before being called)

On the subject of the DC's, it was really unfortunate for WEESCOTMAN, and WEAL in race 2. They both had covered over half race distance, so will receive half the points they would have got if they had finished where they were at the time. These points will be rounded up, as they are both odd numbers.

One last thing, DOWLIN, WOW. Thank you so much for doing the live stream mate. The feedback has been immense. I havnt watched it yet, but cannot wait, judging by the comments on here. Massive kudo's to you mate, you are a star.:cheers::cheers::bowdown:

Right then sorry for the wall of text, heres last nights results.......
