Practice is done. The final race of Sunday Cup on GT5 takes place tomorrow. Cobani added his time to the ranks tonight, but it was "Sebastian" the Third_Reign who was the dominant racer. Mega consistent times will be the key tomorrow. Race ya all tomorrow gents. 👍👍👍

I ran some laps earlier with the sport medium and managed a 33.068.. Improved my time on the sport soft also. :) Looking forward to the race 👍

OK racers, for the last time this year, and in GT5, heres the timetable for this evenings racing. With it looking to be another busy grid, remember to take care in the early laps, and as usual be prepared to give room to lapping drivers. See you all on the grid later. 👍👍👍

Thats OK mate, thanks for letting me know, and thanks for taking part in The Sunday Cup. 👍👍👍

Well thats all folks, for now anyway. Great racing again, although the race 2 T1 incident will need some looking into. But it was a great send off for The Sunday Cup on GT5. We had a nice busy grid, some great racing, and even a crazy dutchman with a piano. Full and final results will be published tomorrow, as well as a new champion crowned, but as usual now is the time for the top 3 from tonights events. For the last time on GT5, enjoy your champagne gentlemen.

Great racing :) Due to a busy two weeks I didn't get the chance to do any practice prior to the race, hence race one was always going to be tricky for me.

Despite that, quite happy with my eventual R2 pace. Got caught up in some first corner mêlée though which put me down the order somewhat, but had an excellent battle with linus through two thirds of the race, culminating in a brilliant last couple of laps where I managed to capitalise on a small mistake by him at the final chicane.

Next season I'll try my best to join in with at least one practice per race. Cheers all and thanks so much Ade for running this awesome series and letting me be part of it :)

Well what can I say, what a superb evening of racing. Very well oganised and everyone was so friendly. The racing was generally very very clean which was so refreshing, having a few side by side battles with various drivers giving each other plenty of room.

Despite doing lots of league racing and setting up a lot of GT5 races at SELOC, I have not raced for a few months and boy did it show. Race 1 I fell into the trap of over driving which caused me a small spin. I then settled into a nice consistant pace but much lower down than I had hoped.

Race 2 I gambled on trying something different by running half the race on SM and then the second half of SS. I used to be able to run much longer on worn tyres without losing much pace and earned the nickname Perez at SELOC. I hoping that most would jump to the SS sooner giving me the advantage later in the race as others pitted again or slowed with no grip near the end of the race. Sadly, my plan did not work one bit and it was soon evident that,

a. You guys are much faster and consistant than I first thought
b. My driving is a bit rusty :)

My pace was good but I was just too slow. Still, I had a cracking race with Jammyrex for most of the race but I made a mistake (rusty) near the end which let him through.

Overall, loved it and can't wait for the next series. Many thanks to ade and to everyone for the great racing and warm welcome.

Really enjoyed last nights races... I was a bit nervous in the 1st couple of laps of the sprint race.. Once I got going though it was a lot of fun trying to open a gap from Will and Third..
The second race was a little bumpy on the 1st lap and I must apologize to Goodwolf again who I did bump pretty hard after avoiding the cars spinning in front and next to me..

It was pretty intense chasing down Bo and Will.. After swapping to the SM I came out of the pits just in front of Will and he kept the pressure on until the end.. Great fun if not a bit sweaty lol :D

Congratulations to Gary Capt D 👍 And thanks to Ade for all his efforts making the SC what it is..

Firstly tonight, I would like to extend our welcome to Linus to the Sunday Cup. I am so pleased you enjoyed your racing with us, and it was great to have a SELOC member join us.

Now then Sunday Cuppers, it has come to and end on GT5. Before the results I would like to thank each and every one of you for your participation. Nearly 2 years, 3 full season, Reloaded and 4000 posts on this thread speak tons. When I started this in Feb 2012, I didnt think I would be sitting here typing this tonight. My idea was to create a racing series I would like to take part in myself, and it seems it was what a lot of you were looking for aswell. I have made some great friendships along the way, and look forward to the future of our racing in GT6.

Now onto last nights racing. It was a thrilling end to 6 events with 12 races. Race 2 got off to a rocky start though. Having watched the replays, I think my contact with Goodwolf before T1 in race 2 didnt cause GW any harm. I slightly clipped his LH rear after missing my braking point. The result was far worse for me, spitting me sharply to the left, and off the track. I rejoined in last place, but there was a bit of chaos just after T1. The replay is really hard to work out what happened, but it seems that there was a bit of car skittles going on. No one was to blame, it was just a really busy T1 racing incident.

Great racing for the rest of the race, and tyre strategys played their part. I had a great battle after the pit stop, with Geordie, in his first SC event, which ended when I skidded off the track.

Anyway, onto the results. Here they are, and we have a new Champion. Capt Gary congratulations. Your dedication and great race craft have rewarded you with the final Sunday Cup competition title on GT5. Well done mate.👍👍👍👍

I could say a million things, but it would all come down to ...

Thank you Ade. :)

Congrats to Gary as our final champion, a job well done and well deserved! 👍

It has been a privilege to race with you gentlemen.
Cheers Bo

Cheers BO, and thanks for the first ever response to this when it all began.

Thankyou guys for your kind comments, greatly appreciated. 👍 The real victory belongs to Ade for providing the fantastic racing we all enjoy in a one-make series. It's been a pleasure to race with all of you, everyone wins with their high level of competition and sportsmanship and I'm sure it will continue into GT6.

Pictures to follow soon.

Congratulations on the title for SCR, Captain Gary. 👍👍👍
Quite pleased with my places in the races too. :)

On another note. I'm not sure if you did it deliberately Ade, but my car is purple. You have it as red in the qualification grid graphic.:nervous:

Well done Gary, Bo and third, top 3 spots in the championship. And Ade well done on the Sunday cup, great races great racers and the banter is so funny at times. I'm happy with 4th, the last 2 races were my best so far, had great battles with Dan and third in both races, Bo even showed up for a while too. Just couldn't catch Dan even when the 2 of us were pushing that hard we almost both fell off within 2 laps. Can't wait for the pics from Gary.

It was more of the same, awesome racing at Nurburgring GP/D. I qualified 5th and finished 5th in both races, enough for the title, but I certainly wasn't cruising to be safe. The guys up front were showing great pace and in race two pulled a healthy gap. Everyone was enjoying a battle at some time during the races, great to be involved in and great to watch of others in the replay after. 👍

Congratulations to Dan on both wins (I'm glad it was only the last event you joined in :sly:) And well done to Will and Third for podiums in both races.

Thankyou Gentlemen.

Congratulations to Gary, well done! :)

When I signed up I never would have guessed that Sunday Cup will get so big and great series as it is today. I really enjoy every moment that I spend with you guys on the track.
Banter has never been better, support for new drivers and those that lack skills or knowledge is always there, and the most important thing, great sportsmanship.

I applaud to all the drivers for giving their best out there, for pushing to their limits and by doing that making others a better drivers and making this series more challenging every season. Just look at the standings from 2nd to 7th place. :)

This series has got it all!
Thank you Ade!

Everyone else, Thank you for the kind words on The Sunday Cup. I am so pleased that you all enjoyed it. The banter, the helping other drivers, every thing that makes it what it is. And if this series has helped inspire some of you into creating your own series and races, then thats even more rewarding. Thank you all once again. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
