Congratulations Captain Gary. You've driven a great season!

I've thoroughly enjoyed the racing. Hats off to you Ade. Think the Facebook element is cool too, been nice to get to know some of you a bit better through that.

Just need to get a grasp on car setup for next season! ;) looking forward to seeing what GT6 holds in store for us! :)

The Sunday Cup Reloaded has come to an end, and a new champion crowned. GTP_CAPT_D takes this special Sunday Cup title. The end of this championship also marks the end of The Sunday Cup on GT5. But do not worry. The home of Sunday evening gentleman driving will be returning in the new year, with a brand new full season on GT6. Work will begin on the planning stages in December this year, so keep an eye on this thread for news of the future of The Sunday Cup.

Great job Ade. Why Lotus hasn't moved you up to MD position already I don't know.
And well done to Gary for the win. Whoop whoop

Calling all Sunday Cuppers, GC Gary's club vs club event with ready or not racing will be taking place on Nov 16th. We need the fastest 8 racers to compete in this event. Special practice will take place this Friday in GC's lobby using both cars for the event. Check the link please, and post in GC's thread if you can make it. Sunday Cuppers, your organizers need you.

Guys, I didnt realize how big the hole was going to be when SC came to an end. Ive gotta do something, as I dont feel complete without organizing a race. Sunday Cup is still finished until GT6, so instead we will be heading back to Monaco in the Mini Coopers. Please click this link to go to the thread. MONACO MINI MADNESS II

Well, its Sunday evening, and there's no racing. The call of GT6 is just around the corner. So instead of racing on a Sunday evening I thought I would give you Sunday Cuppers some exclusive news. Just because Sunday Cup isn't on at the moment, doesnt mean I havnt been busy. Some of you may remember a review of the Sunday Cup, by a gamer called "itsginge". Well, since then he has created his own website called SKYNET GAMING. The idea of the website is to cover all genre's of gaming. At the moment the main interest is based on COD games. The site boasts some of the best COD players in the world, and a lot of the members take part in the EGL. Because of the quality of player, the site has attracted a sponsorship deal with WILDCAT ENERGY DRINK.

The Sunday Cup will become the first racing genre game to be represented on SKYNET, and therefore come under the umbrella of the WILDCAT sponsorship. I am currently negotiating some form of prizes for S4, which I will post about as soon as I have more news.

There will be no change in the way races are organised here on GTP, I will simply post links on the SKYNET site about races, results etc.

All I ask you guys to do, is to visit the SKYNET site, and register for full access. Just click on the links above, or the images below. Thanks gents, it would be great to show our appreciation for this.

Ade and all the other participants of the Sunday Cup. I've been mia for a few weeks and want to apologize and say i've missed it very much. Between work and travel and family I've had not time to even turn my system on let alone get some track time in. I'll be back after the holidays and look forward to to wheel to wheel action again. Happy Holidays to you all!!

OK Sunday Cuppers. We may have parked our Sunday Cup Elise's for the last time in GT5, but there is 1 more chance to put the original SC1 car through its paces. Cobani is holding a heavy damage endurance race using the RMd Elise on comfort soft tyres, and stock settings on Friday 29th November. Please use the below link to sign up.

In 3 weeks time we will all be at the beginning of our GT6 careers. With only a handful of events left for our community to take part in, it is nearly the end of an era, with many of us racing against each other for a long time now. During this time it has been great to take part in other events organised through other racers, and I really hope this continues into the new game. However for the remaining 3 weeks, Sunday Cupper GOODWOLF has organised something a little different from what we have been used to. Starting today, and running until Sun Dec 8th you can enter The 1st Rally show. This is a special time trial rally event open to all Sunday Cupper's, and also to other racers, should they wish to participate. Full details are available on Goodwolfs thread, which is linked in the picture below.

Goodwolf asked me about this special event a few weeks ago, and it is all his own work. Racers should be able to submit times on most days between now, and when the event ends.

I have also been working with Goodwolf on a special award, which will come into action in future series. It was inspired through some of the super close racing we have all enjoyed. The Quality racing seal of approval will be awarded once in each race. It may be given for excellent race craft, the best overtaking maneuver, or a very close finish. This award will be used in future Sunday Cup series, and also any series hosted by Goodwolf.

As we approach the final weeks of racing on GT5, I have some more news regarding the future of The Sunday Cup. Over the last 2 years, our club has matured into a respectable racing league with many members. We have also all competed in other organised races, and built up a solid community of racers. We dont know what the new game will hold for us yet, but what I can tell you is that Sunday Cup will retain the format which has proved popular. Fortnightly races with 8 races per season, followed by a 3 month break between seasons.

During the off season periods, Sunday Cuppers will have the opportunity to represent our club, in inter club racing with other leagues. I have been in contact with GTP_ERIBA and PAPPACLART to discuss these club vs club events.

GT_ERIBA has created a thread to see which other clubs will be interested HERE.

He also has a website dedicated to inter club racing. This site is linked in the graphic below.

HITL LINK.PNG

PAPPACLART organizes races through his GTArena site, and boasts some superb clubs. The Sunday Cup is going to be added into the forums on this site. Again this site is linked in the graphic below.

gtarena link.PNG

These inter club races are designed to give all of us the opportunity to race with busy grids and clean racers on a regular basis, and it should provide us with the chance to race between seasons of The Sunday Cup.

Last but not least. There is still time to sign up for what will be the final farewell race on GT5 for our community. Test your skill next Friday in Cobani's 100 lap heavy damage endurance spec race at Madrid Mini. This will really test your racing skills, as well as your stamina. Check out the link below, and sign up.

With laptimes close to 1 minute on a small 2.5km track the 100 lap race will have challenges:

Thanks you very much Ade and I do look forward to how things will shape up in GT6, if the hype about the new community futures lives up to it, then I can see Sunday Cup going from strength to strength. I know a lot of your members and I think most know me well enough, to know, I am always willing to go that extra mile in pursuit of members enjoyment.

I'll be there at Madrid ready to take on the

Sooooo, GT6 has been out for a bit now. When we getting a little Sunday cup practice going? What car, track? C'mon ade tell us! We want to race I'm getting withdrawal symptoms here, lol

Some of us haven't even unlocked the online facet of GT6 yet

<-82%, Money grind ahead.

There is a Lotus '96 RM you win somewhere along the line, already tried the Elise '11, it's lacking a bit of power.

Sadly MR cars seem a little bugged currently, under heavy braking they just decide to turn around, very unstable.

If we decide to stray away from being Lotus only, the Rocket and the Megan Trophy are very pleasing rides to compete in.

Sunday Cupper's, GT6 is here. We have had a week to get a feel for the new physics, and earn some credits. I see people are keen to return to the track, so I would like to open the doors for 1 final Sunday Cup event this year. It will be in a Lotus, as previous series, however I have some plans for the new year, which include other marques as well as Lotus. For this Christmas special event I have reproduced the very latest track based Elise, the 2014 S CUP R. This has been created using the 2011 Elise in the game. Only carry out the modifications listed below to achieve 226 BHP and 871 KGs. This event will take place on Sunday 22nd December in my lobby with the usual regulations. No driving aids except ABS, grip real, slipstream weak, The event will be run the same way as SC Reloaded, with 1, 15 minute sprint race on SS tyres, followed by a 45 minute race using SS and SM tyres. Laps are to be determined after some practice runs this coming weekend. The venue for this special event will be Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.
