I'm back online now (well it appears I am online, my provider has not told me officially though!), so will be keen to take part in the next Sunday Cup event! I've not raced in ages, getting withdrawal symptoms!

Happy new year Sunday Cuppers. I hope you have all enjoyed the festivities. Its almost exactly 2 years since Sunday Cup was created, and since GT6 was released I have been working hard to bring you all a new season of racing. The waiting is nearly over, and I'm very pleased to inform you all that SC4 will start on Feb 2nd. It will be a full 8 race season, celebrating the black and gold livery of Lotus motorsports. I have gone further than before in getting information regarding the cars we will use, and hopefully you will all enjoy the choices I have made. In past SC seasons, we have all become used to the upgrades available every 2 races. This time, we will change cars after every 2 races, to celebrate a 40 year period in Lotuses epic racing heritage. Some of these races will also reference real life race events which occurred during the periods we cover, so they will have real historical significance. More information, including car tuning and the racing calendar will be posted over the next few days. For now though, here is the new seasons banner.

OK Sunday Cuppers. Ive spent the last few weeks tuning and testing the 4 cars we will use for SC4. Ive done lots of research into the heritage of some of the cars to make sure the specs are as close to the real thing as possible. Ive tested each car around Brands Hatch Indy, and also around the selected tracks for the championship, to ensure that the car/track pick is well suited, and in some cases has some historical significance. You dont need to worry about buying all the cars at once, as each car will last for 2 races before we switch to the next. So here are the Sunday Cup IV car specs, and racing calendar.

Like it, mostly old cars:)
Not sure If I will drive full season since I'm driving in other league curently. It's also on sunday in 20gmt...

Good fun races last night. The Elan feels great at Silverstone national circuit. I wont start posting any lap times until the first official practice session on Sunday 12th Jan. I will be on again from 8.30 tonight in the Elan, so if anyone wants some early track time in the car, feel free to join.

I don't know ho much you've tested all the cars, but a personal experience of mine shows that street cars handle horrible with racing tyres in GT6. The grip/slip transition is practically instant.

I'm racing in the same league, so I'll be facing the same dilemma.

Hopefully by the time we get to use the Esprit V8 the tyre glitch will be sorted. 8.00pm is the time the lobby will open. The races wont start until later.

Great close races last night at Silverstone. Also thanks to GC Gary for pointing out a couple of typos in the graphics. These have been corrected now. Hopefully I will be on again tonight for a few laps, but it is back to work tomorrow and I have a fair bit to do. So if Im on, I will open a lobby. Driver list is getting bigger, and with the start still 1 month away, I expect we will be looking at full grids.

Awesome pics Gary, great to see the first and final cars together. On the same subject, here's some shots of Northlander74's cars.

The weekend is nearly upon us again, and I will be doing some more early sessions before Sunday's first timed practice runs. Then we have only 3 weeks until S4 begins. I will be asking drivers to provide their podium pictures again from next week. As we are using more than 1 car, driver pics will be used again.

About different ffb depending on what car you drive I did some testing last night. (I have a T500) And it shows that high ffb is heavy and low ffb is light. :)

Naah, ffb set to 10 is too heavy (good workout though) and set to 1 is too light, it's like a bumper car. So I ended up with ffb 3 or 4. Default is 5. With lighter ffb I found it easier to oversteer or push the front wheels more to get a better position through the bend. I couldn't identify any difference regarding the feeling.

Overall I think I handle the wheel to soft, need to be more firm. :)

Not normally, but that said I haven't found/seen the option in GT6 yet.

Under the start-button you find options and from there you can change ffb and other stuff.
