3 weeks until the start of S4. Our first car, the Elan has been well and truly tested at Silverstone National over the last few weeks. Its a great easy to drive car, which handles well straight out of the box, and promises to deliver some super close racing. Lap times for the first race will be around the 1.08/1.09 mark on the sport hard tyre. The first official practice will be tonight from 8.00pm, and lap times will be posted afterwards. Below are 3 shots of suspension set ups which have been used during testing. All are good for 1.08's with Capt Gary and Capt Tiggles managing to break into the 1.07's.

Here you go Ade an Elan from the NEC Performance motor Show.

I have a number of picture from the Lotus stand and three or four emblems, but they need a bit of work, didn't realize how unsteady I've become over the last few years, stupid body.

Only just had the time to view Sundays first practice replays, as it was the Zero Cup last night. We ran 9, 5 lap races over the course of the evening, with 6 racers present. The Elan really suits Silverstone National, and the racing was very close. We only used the sport hard tyre this time round, but will get some runs on the comfort soft at a later date. Several races saw the first 4 over the finish line, with less than half a second between first and fourth place. More sessions are planned for this coming weekend, I will keep the thread updated with the days and times.

Great pics Tiggles and Gary, I will get these converted to your podium pics over the weekend.

Also, during an impromptu practice session tonight, current times were smashed. New records have been set by several drivers. I will view the replays tomorrow and post the updated times. All I can say for now is that it seems a new alien has arrived, from the heavens.:sly:

Heres the times taken from last nights unplanned practice. The racing was really close once again, and some cracking times were set. There was some action aswell, as seen in Tiggles picture above. Close call for some of us. Heres a view from another angle.

Captain Tiggles set the track on fire during the last 4 races we had, and this gave some of us the chance to try and hang onto his slip stream to set some record laps. New times are in red text.

There will be some more sessions this weekend, and with only just over 2 weeks until the start of S4, its highly recommended to get some practice laps in before the season begins.

Great few practice races last night. Dan and Goodwoolf added their first times to the board. Very impressive first laps from Dan saw him get into the 07s very early on. Captain Tiggles did get a 1:07.73x in free run, but as usual this time cant be included as it wasnt set during a race. I will run some more laps in the Elan tonight, as next Saturday is GC Garys 500pp club Honda civic event, and I will be practicing for that on Friday. Lobby will be open from 8.00pm tonight.

Saturday practice didnt produce any more new records, but it did see DRANDAD add his time to the table. Tonight will be another chance to add or improve times, and also will hopefully see the return of a former Sunday Cupper. Room will be open from 8.00pm.

Awesome practice session tonight saw some previous Sunday Cup competitors turn in for times. With only 2 weeks until race#1, the next few weeks are going to be important, as there are only a limited number of practice sessions left. Next weekend is GC Garys Honda race, so Friday and Saturday will be put aside for practice and the race. The next Sunday Cup practice will be next Sunday. Times from tonights practice will be published tomorrow.

Amazing races tonight, ade you missed possibly the best race of the night! 4 and 5 cars wide, can't wait to see any pics.

As I sad in lobby, I'll try racing full season.I just retired from another championship due to my bad connection problems...
Your lobby settings are lower so I hope it all work fine.Didn't have any problems in past in your lobby Ade but once what I remember.

Tonight racing was really fun,car and track belongs each other.I only miss LSD to avoid tire spinning.
And slipstream on week gave a lot of fun even if is not most realistic, but I like it.

Looking foreward to new season and hoping it all goes well:) (without connection problems)

Thanks for having me last night guys, I enjoyed the races :)

Was only my third time online so I've not noticed any physics discrepancies between that and in the career for example. Are there any?
I
It was also only my second time using the wheel. I've been trying to complete the career and the ds3 has been sufficient. However I couldn't best the scirocco seasonal so decided to break out the dfgt last night lol.

I've noticed how much different 6 feels to 5. I was correcting oversteer that wasn't even there, spearing off towards the edge of the track, feeling unstable in general. I think maybe less corrective force is needed this time around? Or maybe the slides are more forgiving before traction is completely lost? It's a learning curve in any case. I should use the dfgt more often!

Any recommended settings by the way? For options and ffb? I feel like a beginner lol. It's kind of fun... Kind of ;)

8racers turned in times last night, and it was great to see a return of Sholesy and Shin_Roh. Some great times were set, with Capt_D getting into the 07's, and an impressive first time for Petros.

@Petros Im glad you enjoyed the racing. I opted for the slipstream on weak, so that it would keep the racing closer, and give the guys towards the back of the field a better chance of keeping pace with the front runners.

@Captain Roh It was good of you to join us. I have my FFB set at 4. Also DFGT user, although mines a hybrid now

@scholesy1899 Good to have you back mate.
