So after some thought,I wont be taking part in the live Spa Race..I am happy to help in any other way I can.I wish the best of luck to all the guys who do take part in the race..
 
I can offer my driving services to our teams, but I can only drive my stints between 10am and 00pm UK time.
If this is not good enough I can test other GT Cup cars in the class.
 
Ok guys, I have been quiet this week as had a lot of contemplating to do. The operation my wife was due to have on Wednesday got cancelled at the 11th hour, with no idea of when the surgery will be re scheduled. It could be next week, it could be in 3 weeks, we simply dont know.

Also, there was some bad news regarding jobs at Lotus, which I would rather not discuss in a public forum. Some of you may have seen stories on facebook, or in the news. If any of you want any more details, please PM me, and I will answer your messages, rather than putting it up in here.

So, with a lot of things going on in my personal life at the moment, I am going to cancel all Sunday Cup activity, until further notice. This includes the team entrys into the Spa 24 hour race, as well as the Reloaded season which I had hoped to get going after the Spa race. I will message AJ with regard to this.

That doesnt mean that any of you guys cant sort out a team for the Spa race, and I would be well chuffed if you did.

I simply dont want to commit myself to anything at the moment, and let people down at the last moment.

You all know that I am very passionate about Lotus, and the Sunday Cup, and The Sunday Cup has always been about quality reliable racing events, and at the moment, during this uncertain period, I feel that I cannot deliver that.

Thank you gents for your patience, and when I am in a position to resume, I will let you all know.
 
OK guys, Adès letting me use this forum to see if we can get a team together for the spa 24hr race held by AJ. This won't be Sunday Cup related, and no none will be in charge it'll be group led.

What we need to start with is 4 drivers (that are willing and able to put I practice and guarantee that they'll be there for the race and their stint on time) we'll also need a couple of folk to handle the media side of it, somewhere we can sent our stint pics to, so they can then send them off to AJ.

So that's it for now guys, we've had third, we've had second, there's only one more spot to take gents!

My response is 100% commitment. I'm still confused though about car selection. Technical regs in GT Cup allow the 111R 04', not the race car. If we have the last word on this one, I would most definitely choose the road version.
Either way..lets do this.
 
I would love to share your commitment Soka, but I'm working both days of the event. I will help out any way I am able. Even shoulder some of the administration role when I can. Phones are pretty versatile these days. Let me know what you need and I'll see how much I can do.

Soka you are a diamond! All the races that AJ does uses race cars only, it must just be a miss print.

Gc, knew I could count on you, you'll be point of contact for pics, same as last time if that's alright?
 
I'm going to put in a few laps with the race car now. I'd very much like to do a bit of racing this time round. Two 5 hour stints is what I had in mind, given we dont make 4 racers of course. Either way.. lets do dis!
 
This is awesome guys. Fantastic stuff. Just to keep you updated, Lindseys operation on her back will now happen on the 8th October, 3 days before the race. So if she is back at home by the 11th, I will help out where I can with the admin role along side GcGary. I will let you know how involved I can be nearer the time.

I can't commit to this at this point (family...) but I will try to contribute by joining training sessions. If I get a heads up I might be able to schedule it between the diaper changes and the food distribution.

Perhaps there are sessions on a regular basis every night?

What car and specs?
 
OK so we have 2 drivers so far, me and soka. And 2 admin/media, still short on 2 drivers, c'mon guys.

I can't commit 100% but my offer still stands.
 
That's perfect mate we can work around this hopefully, I'll need anyone wanting to do this to let me know if their fully flexible or can only do certain hours so I can work out stint times.
 
Any chance of posting the specs of the cars you will be up against ?... I am unable to open the files.

I had informed Ade that I would like to be a part of the 24h of Spa some time ago. That still stands and the misses has agreed to it too. That said, daytime stints will be more difficult to schedule in then nighttime with me 4 young screaming, channel changing, diaper filling lovely kids. :)
 
If you want you can take one of the night stints if that makes it easier for you?
 
From Monday till Friday next week I'll be holding practice sessions for spa most nights. I'd like all drivers and anyone else about to join in, warrens running the gt86 cpt is running the Megane, it'll be an endurance room set for 20 mins to begin with. I'll speak with gc over the weekend and see if we can sort out stints for the drivers, I have until Sunday to get back to AJ about our entry.
 
It is quite a fun drive. At least it was on inters and an almost dry track.
It can only have the low or mid turbo fitted, otherwise the boost is above the 0.8 specified.
