You all played your part beautifully. You stepped up and overcome the challenge set before you. Your teamwork and camaraderie saw you through what can be described as an epic race. No, an epic win!

To use a phrase of ade3210....
It's champagne time
I'll leave you with this....

It was an epic win Gary, I had to jump on and cover soka as he had connection issues, then when I came off I found out we were 3 laps down in second place, hung about for Bo to start his stint and managed a few hours kip before my early morning stint, still not knowing how we were doing I put in a 4 hour stint, the only thing to pass me was the gt3 cars, we're as I passed all cars in our group. Still don't know how it happened but after my stint I checked the standings and we were 1st with 6 laps in hand! I watched the rest of the race and the big boys were out putting on a show, Caine, pasm, and greasy were 10 seconds apart, then the worst happened mass dc! 15 mins from the end, AJ and his team decided to do a 15min sprint race which turned out to be 8.caine lost out big-time! Now we wait until the final results are posted. Big thanks to ade and Gary for their help and my fellow drivers, 3rd time lucky guys! We did it we won our class in an endurance race!!!

Congratulations on your endurance result guys.

Ade - Hope your wife is making a good recovery. Sorry to hear of the uncertainty around Lotus regarding job cuts at the moment, fingers crossed it will turn out OK for you.

Just wondering if there is news on the horizon of any "normal" Sunday Cup races? I'm itching to get back into some racing that we can all be part of on the track 👍👍👍👍 :)

OK guys, firstly...... Massive congratulations to the Spa 24 hour race result. Now that the final results are official, to win by 7 laps in GT Cup class in amazing. Well done to all involved. Champions!!!!!!

Secondly......Mrs 3210 had her spine op last week, and is on the road to recovery. Its been a tough couple of weeks, with her requiring a lot of assistance, and this will be ongoing until she is declared fit by the hospital. Because of this, I havnt had much time to get on the PS3 during the week, which is a key factor to running Sunday Cup.

I really do appreciate everyones patience during this time, and when I get some news regarding my job, and the missus is back to her best, I will be ready to resume organising events.

So, if all news is good, Sunday Cup season 5 will commence in February next year, which is the usual start month for a full season. Historically there has been 12 weeks notice before a season starts, and this will be the case here, so expect news of the season in November. I have been working on it during these last few weeks I have had "off", and its going to be a blinder. I do hope to get a couple of special events sorted before the end of the year, so watch the thread for details.

Once again guys, thanks for you patience during this time, we will be back to racing soon.

Now that the results are official, I would like to thank everyone that were supporting us and for all nice things that were said after the race and in this thread.

I really love that the win happened at Spa and a big thanks to my fellow drivers and our manager GC.👍👍👍
Racing at Spa after this will be even better than ever.:D

Yeah I know.., in Nur we'll still be fast, we have the edge with all those slow, medium corners. In Nordschleife we dont have a chance. Top speed is what matters on this track, so Bop should have to be revised again for this one. Maybe AJ let us run 2 versions of the car???

The elise is better at maintaining speed throughout the corners. And the scirocco was only 5-7 mph faster in a straight line, at spa. I can't comment about the 86GT, that would likely be the main adversary.

God only knows how he intends people to remove 100kg from the scirocco, it's impossible.

Just so you all know, (some of you already do) I smashed my hand between a cage of stock and a door last week, might have broken it. For this reason I'll not be running or managing any endurance events for AJ for a while. Between not being able to grip my wheel, and my painkillers knocking me out, I'd be of very little use. If someone else wants to take the next few he's got going at the ring gp and the green hell, then good luck.

Hope to see you on track soon guys.

Before I forget, if anyone is going to run a team then this will need to be filled in, only 2 drivers are needed for the 4 hour event.

Some news for you all. On November 15th Lotus Club Rebellion will be going to "The Green Hell" for 4 hours of Nordshleife.

I hope to open a room using the Type V layout, for some practice, tonight. God knows I'll need it  I'm not sure when, if you see it open bring along your Elise 111R Race Car or Renaultsport megané.

Won't you join me on a "Highway To Hell"?

That really is an awesome poster Bo. Excellent.

OK guys, time for some news. Mrs 3210 continues to make an excellent recovery, although she is still very sore, she is making great progress.

Also, my position at work is unaffected by the restructuring which is taking place. This is great news, however it has still been an extremely challenging time for me, and I havnt had any time during the week to get on GT, and my "dads taxi" service has been very busy at weekends. However, the small chances I have had to get on, I have spent some time getting ready for season 5.

As promised in an earlier post, I said that details of the next season would become available in November.

So, for season 5 we will be going back to the roots of The Sunday Cup, but bringing it bang up to date with the very latest 2011 Lotus Elise in the game. Using the Road car to Race car formula from season 3, we will start the season in the entry level car, and throughout the season, performance, aero and weight upgrades will see the car evolve into the very latest track weapon, the Elise S Cup R. More details regarding the specs, the race calender etc will become available throughout November, and I am planning running a Christmas special, and a season 5 warm up race before the season kicks off.

So there you go guys. Thanks so much for your patience over the past couple of months, whilst I have had to deal with these personal issues. It wont be long until normal service is resumed. Cheers.

N4 qualifying is now over. Our times are locked in. SoKa has managed a blistering 8:28, fastest in class.
I managed a somewhat more modest time which started out with 8:55, a banked time just to get something recorded during QP1.

With some practice and advice through the week, ending in QP4 with....
