I'm going to respond as best as I can to this whole thread. First off, terrorists want to kill anyone who don't share their views with the way things should be run or who could harbor/support them, not just Americans. Second, what would you do if a group of terrorists came and killed thousands of your fellow countrymen? Would you sit around and not act? I don't think so. If you cared enough for your country, you wouldn't put down it's efforts to stop an incident like that from happening again. I tell you right off that if the US government issued a draft right now, I'd go without any argument. It's just that I'm my parents only son and the government and my parents keep me from going. I'm no pansy thoguh. That's for damn sure.

I don't know about anyone else here, but I think (going into specifics now) that Bush definitely did the right thing when he went after Saddam as well as UBL. Saddam was in cahoots with UBL and actually congradulated him for the attack. The Iraqis will be better off after reconstruction than they were even before Saddam came in to power which is good. We aren't in it for the oil like some people will say. Our intentions are honorable even if we went in at the expense of ruining what good reputation we had with the UN. And I won't let someone diss my country and the men overseas fighting and dying for a just cause. If you want to be a virtual flag-burner go right ahead, but don't come crying to us when it's you that gets cought in the thick of it.

Oh, btw. Just for the record. I was born into the military and am an Eagle Scout. My mother and father both met at the base they worked at. I was born in a hospital on an Airforce base. My grandpa on my mom's side was a major in the Airforce and was in the Secret Service. And I have uncles and aunts who are/were in the military. We aren't warhawks persay, but we do believe in this country and we do what we need to protect it.
