The Things That Annoy You

What bugs me is that some of the menu books require you to complete 3 or more races, but if you finish race 1 and leave (with the intent of doing race 2 later), then you can't get back to play race 2 or race 3. You have to play race 1 all over again, and the points you got for race 1 are gone...

What if you want to change cars, or don't have the time to do all the races, or get interrupted?

Is there any workaround for this...???
That's how championships work in this game.

Putting a wide body on the 73’ BMW CSL removes the ability to add front downforce which ruins it. Some of the older cars are just undrivable.

I don’t do the daily races unless it’s with a Gr.4 or Gr.3 car because you can’t use widebodies and I’m not buying 2 of the same car. There should be daily races for tuned cars (ie. 500PP, 600PP, 700PP etc.)

There’s no payouts from multiplayer lobbies so they’re completely pointless at least for me.

Why can't we paint front spoilers/splitters and side skirts the same(paint) colour as the body for ALL vehicles?
The only solution to this issue atm is to mask the said parts with a decal and paint it a 'similar' colour, which looks like crap as they don't match.
Why can't we undo widebody conversions?

Roulette tickets- whether it's 1 star or 3, the pay out is invariably 5-10,000 over 95% of the time. Strange because the whole concept of 'roulette' means an equal chance of winning 500,000 or 5,000. If the barrel of a gun holds 5 rounds, there should be a 20% chance of winning 5,000, 20% for winning 50,000 etc.
However, in GT7 it doesn't appear to be purely random....So I just don't get excited for those tickets any longer lol.
The roulette is a disguise to hide the predetermined reward. No matter how many times you open that ticket, it's ALWAYS the same reward. There is no 'chance' or 'luck' in it.

I've just noticed that clouds movement on a radar does not match wind direction from minimap.

I was about to estimate weather window for my tire strategy, but got suprised that with South-East wind rain clouds was travelling from North to South...
I wonder if the windmills on Sardegna react to wind direction...

Another HUD complaint... as much as I want the HUD fully customizable, at the very least get rid of the MCD (is that what it's called?) options that are not even applicable.

Why is the weather map an option on a Daily Race that we know there won't be weather? Get that noise outta there... one less thing to have to cycle through.

I wonder if the windmills on Sardegna react to wind direction...
They do. Also, when you're doing the CE since there is no wind, they're sitting static.

People who whine about not having enough to do but also refuse to race online. It’s kind of funny when these same people complain that the ai is too slow though.
Online is really addicting. When I have a good race, it's big fun so I want to race again; when I have a bad race, I want to race again to cancel it out.

Double check that. I think it's accurate. Remember, the wind direction arrow is realtive to the TRACK and not to your car. The arrow could be pointing straight down which would be easy o assume is a head wind, but if your car is also pointing down on the track map, the wind will be at your back even though it looks like it would be at your front.

That confused me at first as well, but then I had that epiphany.

Dude, both maps (top right corner and radar on MFD) are static and with top-north orientation.

Host Has Ended The Game
Host Has Ended The Game
Host Has Ended The Game

Race after race. I’d like to be able see how frequently a “Host” ends up canceling the race before I agree to participate. Waste of time and effort. I understand a connection can fail but it shouldn’t end a race in progress for the rest of us, and if the host is a repeat offender then it should count against them.

The difficulty of the mission races is not fixed.
I have been unable to achieve gold in one mission for a long time. But looking at the friend ranking, there were a few friends who were achieving gold with slower times than me.

And the physics have improved with this update. And it affected the AI as well, I improved my time even more than above and now I am in the top of the friend ranking, but still can't get the gold.

Why is the difficulty so different for the same mission?

I wouldn't say this is a little thing but still annoying I'm just reiterating what I've said before previously in the bugs thread. Still no fix for me when wanting to just paint a car. Even after the 1.13 patch. Its bizarre thing I have no decals applied anywhere on any of my vehicles. It happens with any car I pick. I pick what color I want like matte white or whatever. It'll show it on the car and I will hit apply design and it'll fluctuate between 30-33%. The background music will play but it won't go past 33 percent. I legitimately waited over 30 minutes one time to see if it would just brute force it's way through but to no avail. It's maddening because all I want to do is simply paint a car that's it. It has been happening since the beginning and the patches haven't addressed it yet I'm starting to doubt that they will. If anyone has any work arounds to this problem or have experienced the same thing please let me know.

The way the ‘65 Cooper S is listed in GT is absurd, and ticks me off personally (maybe because I owned a 1965 Morris Cooper (sans “S”) back then).

The 1965 Cooper S was never a “Mini”.
“Mini” at that time was a part of the name of the “Morris Mini-Minor”, named such because it was smaller than the quite different “Morris Minor”. In some markets they even actively avoided the “Mini” moniker, feeling it diminished its stature and called it the Morris “850”.

“Coopers” were badged front and rear as either “Morris Cooper (S)” or “Austin Cooper (S)”, never "Mini".

In 1965 there was no car company called “Mini”, although we tended to collectively refer to the Morris and Austin Coopers as “Mini Coopers”.

This car is not, and never was, “a German car”.
To claim that these 1965 mini-cars are now “German” makes less sense than claiming the D-Type Jaguar was an American car between 2000 and 2008 (since Ford then owned Jaguar Motors), and is now “an Indian car” because Ford sold Jaguar to Tata Motors.

By the "Mini" logic, should all Jaguars be “Indian cars”, and, since the Volkswagen Group now owns Lamborghini, should all Lamborghinis be listed as “German cars”? I don’t think so. History matters.

PS Mind you, if my 1963 Morris 850 and my 1965 Morris Cooper had been actual German cars, the electricals would no doubt have been far more reliable. "Lucas" was known as "The Prince of Darkness" back then.

Has someone tried the Audi R18 2016 (the Hybrid one) is one of those events with increased fuel consumption and so on ? I spent good money on it thinking I would be the next king of Le Mans, but the car is basically unuseable as if you floor the throttle 3 seconds you run completely out of battery... It completely destroys the car capacities and you end spending 90% of the race with an empty battery , in a heavy, underpowered car... You end up using fuel as much as anyone.

Then you take a Mazda 787 25 years older and thanks to its massive 500 liters tank , you can do 10 laps at power 2.
The Audi R18 2016's hybrid KERS system is 6 MJ battery + 300 kW of electric motors, so in real life it can do 20 seconds of power assist. If the fuel consumption multiplier affects KERS then it becomes 5 seconds in Spa 1-hour, 2.5 seconds in Sardegna 15 laps, 3.3 seconds in Le Mans 30 minutes, surely severely cripples it.

And the PP calculation is on a "simulated lap", if that lap is full of short straights and corners where the KERS constantly recharges, you'll got a much higher PP where you don't have much use on Spa and Le Mans where you have many long high speed straights .........

So it's difficult to win with new hybrid Le Mans cars after '12 from Toyota, Porsche under PP restriction in this game, although they dominates in real life races.

At least those old low-RPM diesels Audi R18 TDI '11, Peugeot 908 HDi FAP '10 are kind of usable.

Pit entry times for most of the tracks. Some of them are too damn long. It should not (and does not, in real life) take more than 30 seconds from pit entry to getting to your pit box for tires/fuel. However, in the game it can take that long. So I'm sitting there staring at a screen of AI guys, waiting around for my car to show up so they do their job. When in real life, I'd have been in the pit, tires changed, fuel topped off, and back out on the track in a shorter amount of time.

This, I hate this so much.

The custom lobbies are so broken (still) that I wont touch them until they're fixed.

Plus, it depends what the player is after.. I personally enjoy racing and on occasion can enjoy Sport races.. They would be SO much more fun if the penalty system wasn't a complete joke and the credit payouts actually gave something meaningful..

Currently - Sport races are a complete waste of time you were after car collecting

Some little things that had once existed in other Gts are missing, and it's very annoying to me (I play only in solo mode) :

1) No qualifiying sessions for events : a reward for Pole Position would have been nice
2) No practice session before events to tune car etc...
3) Only rolling starts
4) No ability to buy custom parts directly from the setting sheets just like in GT6
5) No custom soundtrack, no track skipping in menus or race, no playlist editor for menus (I HATE Vangelis Chariots of fire and classical music remixes)
6) GT Auto menu is a mess
7) No "factory settings" sheet in car settings
8) Impossible to switch car just before an event (can be done in Time trial)
9) No "best personal ghost" in TT
10) No test drive before buying a car
11) No Review mirror in bonnet view and no customisable HUD
12) In Experience Circuit and License, impossible to go to next section from the result page
13) The chrono informations during are too basic to me. I would have wanted to see more detailled informations in MFD for instance

It's no about changing the whole core, just minor tweaks that would have change the experience.
