The Things That Annoy You

Wanting to buy soft tires for multiple cars requires going to garage, changing car, going to Tuning, buying tires, going to garage, changing car, going to Tuning, buying tires.... etc.

Be nice if we had a tickbox besides a list of our cars when buying from Tuning, can default to the one we're driving but can be adjusted to buy same upgrades / tires and things for multiple cars at once perhaps even with a bulk buy discount price (40K each to buy softs for 8 Gr3 cars is a decent wedge of cash to fork out)

Also no way of telling without changing to the car and going to settings sheet what tires are already purchased for each car. Be nice to have the small icons on the car select screen showing it has H/M/S/I/W or whatever.

What is currently annoying me is there doesnt seem to be a way to group decals. Flatten/merge would be nice but probably too resource intensive, so at least give me the option to group sets together. With grouping augmentations like scale/skew and rotate would likely be problematic but at least give me the option to move those groups together.

And super minor but really irritating is the Customization shop. Where the menu backs you out 2 levels, out to the overworld from within the car modification(wheels, paint, etc...). Sometimes I just want to see what the body kit options are and then out to see what the widebody option is and you are forced to exit and re-enter to get to either place for those options.

The inconsistency of the "Menu Exit" function wastes my time.

With some menus, hitting Circle must be followed by a confirming X to get back to the Map.

With others, an accidental Circle at the wrong time will drop back to the Map and require re-entry. Example is "Garage".

That most of the Tokyo Express races are daytime. In real life and in this game, Tokyo by day is a dull, grey concrete mess. Could be any city. Boring. By night it’s a seriously beautiful neon wonderland. And it’s when the nice cars come out to play.

I just wish they’d make most, if not all, of these races night ones. Even better if they created some T Xtreme Racer-like events to compete against modded JDMs.

I have to complain about replay cameras again. They're too damn low. There are too many extreme close ups. It's rare that I see the roof of my car with its wonderful graphics I spent time to apply. It's rare to get a good look at a pass I make on a competitor. It's rare to get a good look at a curve with a stream of cars I'm in making their way around it. There are camera positions on cranes strewn around almost every track but they won't use them. When a camera is up fairly high, many times it drops in the course of the scene, often to ground level!

If you won't get the cameras up from below head level for the most part, give us a Director's Editor so we can fix them ourselves.
Why would PD make the replay angles ariel? 99% of people would like to see the car up close. Anyways i have a solution to your plight, PM me, but the solution involves a static non-changing reply angle.

Main reason is because... that's what real race broadcasts look like? It could just be a separate option, the current trackside cameras and a more realistic "TV-Style" set of cameras. You can't see the racing action properly with the current cameras.

Always thought it was so dumb that they went to the trouble of putting TV cameras on scaffolding/cranes, but then didn't use them as the actual angles. I remember them doing that since at least GT5...

Like most people, and I am quoting myself from the daily thread:

You'd think PD would be able to code something so that if one car is going 60mph in prep for a sharp turn and another car is going 140mph not prepping for the turn, one of the two cars would just ghost out. They know the speed delta of two cars about to hit so why they allow it to happen is beyond me. Rammers would stop ramming if ramming didn't work.

Also, I really like the helicopters; I think it's super cool they're "filming" from choppers like they do in a real race. But, WHY does it have to fly right across my windshield during the most intense part of the track?! Or, have its shadow go across the track right at the braking point?! Don't they know video gamers have the attention span of a sparrow?! SQUIRREL!!! About to approach the chicane of death, last lap, P1, this is it.... HELO IN YOUR FACE! AHHH CRASH AND DIE!

This has probably been already mentioned here before, but why can't we edit original sized windshield banners? For example, the Pennzoil R34 has a smaller banner than the generic Gran Turismo one, which is the one we can edit, and it feels oversized, considering that no JGTC R34 had a windshield banner that large. The exact opposite happens with cars like the Super GT '08/'16 ones, where the original windshield banner is actually larger, which means you have to compress decals if you want to make a replica or even your own design following the original banner size rules. It's such a stupid an easy feature to add, and sometimes using the non-generic sizes make the overall look of your livery much, much better.

In the demonstration videos for circuit experiences and licenses, the video starts in fast forward, jumping 5 seconds ahead at the start, so I have to rewind, every time.
Also, the ghost does not reset its position when you turn on "reset the ghost". I'm on ps4 pro. Small things, but annoying.

There's something weird going on with demonstration times!

Did you also notice the ghost doesn't adhere to the time interval until after the first attempt?

Mildly annoying yeah, but annoying nonetheless

Probably for the millionth time, not being able to sell cars. I can't delete the cars I'm not using. Can't hide them in a folder somewhere and have to see them when I choose the car next to one of them. Favourites don't stay on the front page. Can't group vintage cars together if I select one just to tune, remove/add parts.
Have you completed the menu books? I’m pretty sure I can delete any car in my garage! I’ll double check tomorrow - maybe its Menu books cars that cant be deleted?

Selling for Cr.(still waiting for the supposedly patch for that option). You can only Discard a car, if you have a duplicate of that car.

Not having a proper rev counter like previous games. Some cars like the Carrera GT or One-77 have a sky-high rev limit, and the "red" that we see in the rev counter isn't actually synced to the engine. You've got around 700rpm left when the rev counter maxes out in the HUD.

Yeah, it's strange they chose to display that bar instead of an actual tach. Especially when they have a full tach for the bumper cam.

Hmmm I have a few. some big, some small.

  • Massive lack of single player content. After all the marketing BS claiming it was the most complete GT to date.
  • No races for Gr.2 and Gr.1 cars.
  • Being drip fed content.
  • By far the worst AI in any recent racing game, they are moving obstacles at best.
  • Pointless license system - Why are there no races for IA and S licenses?
  • Car list is pretty limited and boring.
  • Macrotransactions.
  • Custom race and Sport mode payouts.
  • Inability to customise the HUD in any way, and the fact that the rear view mirror is only available in 1 view.
  • Still cant sell cars
  • "Roulette"
  • Ridiculous PP system. tired of having to detune Gr.3 cars to race them
  • The fact that all the GTs up until 6 kept me going for years, im already bored of this one after 2 months.

No need to reiterate the obvious issues that we all know but one of the things annoying me, especially when I have 220 cars so far, is:
  • Filter/order state of viewing car list in the garage is not saved neither permanently nor temporary. So each time you wanna filter cars based on manufacture for example and then select to view car and go back the car list will reset to last used car or whatever, then you have to filter by manufacture again to view another car then its reset again, its very annoying and an indication that whoever done that didn't use the system and didn't realize the issue of filtering cars when you have supposedly 420 cars. Whenever I'm in the garage I ALWAYS filter cars means that I'm never satisfied with the default option. Its ridiculous.
