The Things That Annoy You

You can now. Thank God.
Yeah but PD went stupid with it and restricted what parts you can buy. Every part should be buyable in the car settings alas GT6. But nope we get instead a 'race shop' that only sells tyres, ballast and power restrictor. Like really PD? C'mon you've done better before.

One step forward and two steps back, nobody gets too far like that.

The fact I bought dirt rally 2.0 rather than gtsport, I'd be much more competitive in this gt7. Took me best part of 6months to get used to change of driving styles.
Not played a gt game since gt2, and loving this one.

Track Limits, which we can’t set up to be either strict or not.
The option is in the Game, yet it’s not accessible for us.
And its exactly these Track Limits which absolutely spoil the Fun especially in the Online Mode.

When using the motion steering sensor on controller and in cockpit cam, you can see that when you put a lot of angle on the controller when driving, the steering wheel in the car does a wierd thing where it puts more angle and then "teleports" back to having less angle continously. it is wierd and difficult to explain really but its very annoying and because not a lot of people use this steering setting + cockpit cam not many people notice it, so its not likely to get fixed.

The only one thing that annoys me and its not new..., its the camera options or to be more precise the lack of them.

Every AAA game by today standarts have a bunch of camera options and FOV settings, GT have probably the best visuals in the business but its almost 20 years outdated in that department...

PD give us a proper bonnet view and a cockpit view whitout the wheel like a proper XXI century AAA car/SIm/simcade game, i really dont find that aceptable for a game of this caliber, if its not possible for the ps4 version add it to Ps5 version only but please do it, will make the game feel more fresh and in line with real life FOV.

How is the motion control? Easy to figure out? Seems nuts and just never tried it
ive been using it since i got Gt sport and now in Gt7, i would use a wheel if i had one but i dont so i use that that in my opinion is the closer to a wheel that i can get.

Track infraction penalties on qualifiers rolling into the next lap.

I know I unintentionally cut that corner, but disallow the lap I did it on, don't punish me on the next lap. At that point I just pause and select retry, which kills my flow.

Just disallow the lap, don't give track infraction penalties on qualifying laps.

yeah, and just take time off that lap, the penalty zone thing is unnecessary imo, and even more detrimental if positioned at the start/in the middle of a straight.

Penalties during the time laps is indeed annoying and it should count the penalty to the lap time , instead i have to do the penalty in the next lap ...

My last GT game was GT5 10 years ago D:

Yeh, the track limits seem arbitrarily random at times

Honestly I think the cockpit view options are pretty good for trying to simulate life FOV

Other drivers. They annoy me. The real ones and the fake ones.
So just like life :P

This has been the case since whenever the penalty line was introduced in GT Sport. Absolutely ludicrous that something which is so obviously a terrible idea and would take two laps to realise it's a bad idea is still in the game.

My thing for today: the sound quality of the GTWS intro music before the grid. Sounds like it was recorded on a phone in 2006.

Game crashes on startup

Game crashes when trying to switch cars in lobbies

Game crashes when trying to save a new livery you just spent hours creating 😑

Game crashes when you have too many cars

Game crashes whenever I win a race with CRB 😂

Game just crashes....starting to think this might be a new feature...auto shutoff maybe 🤔

On Hard setting AI will for sure dive bomb you an send you to meet Barry R (especially tokyo600)

AI doesn't get penalties

Before 1.19 update everday was 1 or 2 star tickets, now 4 star tickets 10k & 30k for the last week (I got cash I want more s parts😑)

Even though you can BUY new engines from tuning shop I have to win the same engines inorder to swap them into another car 😑

Having to go to the livery editor to switch a livery on a car when in GTSport I could do it from garage

The inability to buy bolt on parts from "car settings" menu

I was told (PD/Sony) the game crashes would go away if I reinstall the game can someone confirm this to be true

I'm annoyed at not being able to change tracks in time trial like you could in GTS. In 7 you have to back out to the world circuits menu then choose a new track. Why not let players choose their track from within the time trial? We can change our cars, just not the track.

That seems totally plausible. I know its worked for me with other games in the past…I’m lookin’ at you Fallout series. :odd:

Very personal nitpick: High Speed Ring not having SAFER barriers. I mean, Zandvoort does have it since their banked turns are basically NASCAR-tier, so why not HSR?

A bunch of menu songs are unnamed, despite having names in previous games.

The unnamed Tuning Shop music is "Are you ready?" by Yudai Satoh.
The unnamed Used Car Dealer music is "Express Way" by Daisuke Kawai.
There are two unnamed pre-race tracks, one being "vision" by Daiki Kasho, and the other being a remix of Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March.

Also, half the cars in this game don't have their engine tone change with RPM-increasing upgrades. A fully upgraded NSX-R with all special parts fitted will redline at 11k, but the sound will suggest 8.5k like stock.

People who dial in 5000 miles away with an fake account, enter daily races and start to complain that everyone is lagging.

These people ruin the expirience for the ones on there own servers.

Hopefully PD brings an ip adress ban for those fake accounts……

Rain during the longer races sucks… I get that it’s realistic but the implementation is garbage and so is the so called “weather radar”. I end up having to quit if I don’t have the right tires equipped and it wastes my time. I literally just cut the game off because I had to quit the Red Bull Ring Neo-Classical race after being halfway done.

Buy tires? Not sure how this is the game’s fault…

Really? I’m gonna refrain from name-calling since my point was painfully obvious. I have the tires… I can’t pit and switch if it starts raining mid lap or, in the case of what just happened, 15 seconds after I just left the pits. The weather is a guessing game.

I would invite you to go back and read what you posted from an outsider’s perspective and explain how that should have been inferred from what you stated, it wasn’t ‘painfully obvious’ because its not what you said. For the record, if that’s what you had said, I would have agreed with you 100%. Especially considering I had that same exact thing happen to me.

This annoys me, absolutely no change in the setup…

I've lost count the number of times I've pitted for wet tires just as it's starting to rain with a massive blue rain cloud on the weather map only to exit the pit to clear skies.

I just want to know how many miles THAT I HAVE DRIVEN! I couldn't care less how many imaginary miles are on the odometer
I agree and I've said it before but I think each car should've had a statistic for how many miles you've driven in it, and then of course one for overall mileage like we currently have. This way if you were to buy a car from the UCD that has 60k miles you could better keep track of how many you've actually put on the car. Not everyone wants to use their phone or a pen and paper to track down statistics like this.

I think you might have to sign in on the gran turismo website an check your profile page or do it from the GT menu in the game(top lefthand corner)

Agreed. Too late now I fear, but every car should’ve started at 0 kms. Having UCD cars at 94,238 kms is just an annoying and useless realism feature that serves no purpose. IF it really has to be in (and it doesn’t, GT Sport was perfectly fine with everything at 0), then add for example in parentheses how many kms you’ve driven out of the 90,000+...

You’re talking about the overall/total distance driven, what they’re mentioning here are specific mileage on one’s cars.
