The Things That Annoy You

Not being able to keep all the original front windscreen stickers on any of the cars. From the GAC Maverick speed stickers to the Berlinetta‘s one little sticker. Whatever licensing may be involved, we still lose extinguisher and kill switch stickers on race cars. Like the C7 and I believe the SLS Gr.4 or GT3 fake livery.
We can click original banner sticker, but nothing else.

And I know that this has been mentioned before I’m sure, but not having a menu to make tuning adjustments to the cars in my garage without having to actually get into the car (like in GTS) 🤔 ……..ANNOYING 🤨🙄😑

-show us which tires are currently on the cars
-show us the oil condition without having to get in the car
-if somebody closes a lobby, hand it off to someone else
-fix your AI already
-much larger payouts for our time, especially in multiplayer please
-no more new photo scapes, a thousand is enough or whatever it’s at now
-lots of new tracks are needed, original circuits are fine, new places not layouts
-et slot mags, and more deep dish mags in general for older cars
-ability to gift cars or credits
-ability to share a setup without having to take a screenshot and send
-much shorter check network environment when leaving multiplayer lobby, sometimes I close the room boom I’m out and can go spin my ticket, other times it feels like I’m checking the network environment for 2 minutes, not sure what that’s all about
-ability to sort user page car “styles” by likes or shares

More of what I wish was in the game, but I think that qualifies for what annoys me about the game too.

1.Not being able to use the carbon fiber paint chips I bought on anything but the entire body of the car. Why can’t we use them on wheels and wings?

2. I can do entire engine swap ( i.e. 2016 4.0 Porsche motor into a 1981 930 911) but I can’t go from a 5speed manual gearbox to a 6 speed.

I never posted here but as a details geek, here are some of the few things that annoy me :

Porsche 964 RS (this is one of my all time dream air cooled 911 but I don't drive it in GT7 for those reasons) :
  • rear wing doesn't lift up
  • in replay mode the brakes calipers (front & rear) are missing
  • poor low pixels wheel hub rendering

Porsche 911 GT1 :
- Wrong side wipers (like the early M2 competition update)

Porsche 918 Spyder :
- poor low pixels rear lettering and seats in outside cam rendering

Porsche carrera GT:
  • Wrong stock exhaust sound (the current we had in the game is rec from a straight pipe muffler, so they should use the current sound for sport/semi racing exhaust)
  • like the 918 spyder the rendering of the seats in outside front view is really bad

Ferrari F430 :
- gearbox shift like a DCT instead of a F1

Porsche 904 GTS :
- Flat 6 sound instead of Flat 4

Ferrari F12 :
- side markers missing

Etc...

Iverall I'm really enjoying this game but some cars need to be reodeling

The fact you can just restart any race in a championship. I'm sure in previous games once you were committed a retry would send you back to Race 1.

Saying that, it's not really a problem until they add some championships worth doing!

Reading the news for upcoming Forza Horizon update that the will add new rims i felt that GT7 is so limited in those options and generally in custom parts...

1) The 2006 Ford GT and all of its variants all sound like they attached the wrong sound file to the car. It sounds like a little V6, not the snarling loud muscular V8 it actually has. It's one of my favorite cars of all time and I just can't drive it sounding like that.

2) How many menus and sub-menus you have to jump through just to get to things. It just feels messy and unnecessary especially since they're slow to load.

3) You have to create a livery just to change the car color and there's not the option to choose from standard colors and stripe/livery combos like from the dealership.

4) You have to erase standard liveries just to change the color. This is especially irritating with used cars you purchase where there is no color options and you really want to keep the livery, but just paint the car a different color.

5) You can't transfer hosts in a public Lobby. Once I leave as the host, it closes out the game for everyone. That's silly.

6) If a part in the TUNING SHOP changes anything visually on the car, like the ride height and exhaust, there should be a small window showing the visual change prior to purchase.

7) I wish the wide-body would be branded and an actual kit like Rocket Bunny or RWB instead of just some corny fender stretch.

8) No ability to change your tire width. That's annoying especially with old muscle cars rolling on rails. I wanna to adjust it all like this --> 355/45/16

9) Custom License plates should totally be an option. If I wanna pick a certain country or state in the US then make my own plate number, that would be awesome instead of having to do some low-res sticker.

10) The use of carbon fiber for specific parts like your hood, mirrors or wing, NOT the entire car or nothing.

11) This many years down the road, upshift sounds are still horrible.

12) The ability to change the interior color with custom options would be great, but even just dealer options would be so good! Like with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage having a black and bright blue interior doesn't match with a red car and there's no other options. I hate it lol.

13) Finally, we have rain in the game, but I think we can all agree it's pretty visually underwhelming from the cockpit view. The rain hitting the windshield looks fake and the windshield wipers don't really do anything.

14) And my final frustration is the fact there's no way to simply freely view your car from whatever angle you want with zoom in/out in your garage. The preset angles aren't bad, but I want to admire my car. Make all the HUD go away, give me a photo op in the garage and let me view the interior fully too!

in all honesty, most of the cars in GT7 could sound more raw. They’re much better than they’ve ever been but they lack that crisp raw exhaust tone. I noticed they sound a little better in chase view, too bad they don’t let us unroll the windows or something to get that raspier tone when in cockpit view. Some of them sound quite muffled and like it’s a hum versus raw unlimited power!! Lol

The Porsche 996 is missing its chin spoiler/splitter underneath the original front bumper and the Nismo R32 speed warning is driving mehr insane.

...oh and being unable to paint Individual parts in carbon 'paint' is am real pain in the behind! ...let us at least paint the roll cage in a Differential color...

It's a speed chime, not a warning.

It's a chime that warns the driver when they are travelling above a certain speed.
I’m hoping a GT tuner will find there’s a certain part/mod combo that will turn the chime off. Imagine a race spec version with the chime constantly dinging away? Ugh

I’d experiment myself but at 400,000cr I’m currently too cheap to attempt irreversible modifications on it (yet). Maybe eventually.

I made Group A versions. With the Racing exhaust it’s barely noticeable. I only picked up on it when members started complaining about it. I understand if players just want to enjoy it stock standard, can’t help y’all there.

Here to complain because this seems like the appropriate thread.

Been playing since GT1 in 1997, I was 13. GT is really the only game I've ever played, I'm a total gear head. Played every major release except for Sport. My motivation for playing the game is collecting all the cars and racing them all in stock and fully modded form, as I've seen many of you do as well. Online multiplayer is fun, but my main motivation is completing the game and collecting the cars.

That said, I want WAY more single player content. I get the motivation for online racing, but don't make it the focus of the game at the expense of the career experience! I know they could do both. The online competition is great and all, but I want TONS more championships and endurance races, like GT4 had. Hopefully this is upcoming, but God, I wish for a modernized version of GT4 with even more content than that game offered, but alas, casual gamers are the bulk of the marketplace and this is what we got...

In addition, the mission races and circuit experience content are rubbish. That work would have been much better spent on the expansion of racing content and venues...

Rant over, I'm glad there are still so many of you enthusiastic about this franchise that has SO much untapped potential, and I know this has been beat to death.

The way performance results are shown and calculated in the setup screen.
I like all data back from what every setting does to my car as it was there in the beginning.
They took it away because it was buggy, kept the buggy mess, but removed the feature.

I appreciate the detail put into interior lighting effects. Such as the sun reflecting off the dashboard onto the windshield, and the sun washing out the instrument gauges. BUT, we need to have an option to turn on our headlights. So that the interior gauges are illuminated and thus visible. It's incredibly annoying to use the in car camera angle and not be able to read anything from the actual gauges. I don't think I've found a single daytime venue yet where the gauges of my McLaren F1 are actually legible.

Furthermore, building on the above, there needs to be an option for an aftermarket tachometer. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if the overlaid display bar for engine speed was more accurate (with relation to redline) but more often than not it isn't. For drastically modified engines, or swapped in engines, this is a big problem. Few examples:

  • The 996 GT3's tachometer stops at 8000 rpm. The needle literally stops at 8.
  • The 2002 NSX Type R's tachometer goes to 9000 rpm. Then the needle stops. It's very easy to modify the engine to spin considerably higher. But between the needle stopping at 9 and the display bar flashing for anything above 8000 rpm one finds themselves going off the sound of the engine to know when to change gears.
  • 4 rotor swapped FD RX7's tachometer goes to 9000rpm. But that engine revs to 10,000.
Asking to accurately keep track of engine speed isn't a big request. Glaring oversight IMO.

Can’t 2j swap a Toyota Crown.

I legit turned the game off. It’s obvious all of the developers swap ideas come from SEMA and not, idk? their backyard!

It really grinds my gears man….( waves fist in the air like a grumpy old man)

It annoys me that they took Sophy AI down too soon. It was great racing against the Sophy team. Anyways.
i really hope they let us populate our multiplayer lobbies with at least 4 sophy’s. Seems I can’t find a room that doesn’t have intentional crashes in or start a room and not have them come in. And then somehow they try to put the blame on you for them slamming into the back of your car. Yeah right.

On sundays we have a few people we race with and it’s close, it would be great to be able to lock it to us three or four no throw in 3 or 4 sophy’s.

If a race required RM's but resets you back to RH's once the race is completed meaning you have to change it before going into the next race. And having to do this all the time!

This just reminded me of when in a multiplayer lobby, you grab a car with the wrong tires, put the allowed tires on, finish the race, go to return your setup, it won’t let you and you get locked up until you set the car back up for the race you just did, pick a new car, then get back in your previous car and then you can make the change. It’s a very annoying feature. Lol
