And you can’t even get rewarded with an invitation, by being “loyal” to the brand(any brand), by acquiring any said brand’s models.
yep there is absolutely no sense in this, how is it realistic ? an invitation should be issued if you have let's say for example :
  • bought all the cars avalaible from said brand (or 50% or else)
  • won some championship using a car from the brand
  • won a championship dedicated to this brand

and they could send invite for one specific car depending on what you've accomplished

now they send Ferrari invites on the first day of any random player with 20k on is account, smart...

Over 450 vehicles in GT7 and yet, not one

A 4* ticket giving you a tuning part that is worth almost nothing for a car that you do not have and do not need and do not want. But hey, if I do decide to buy and then drive around in a safety car, I can have an upgraded camshaft.
Let’s be honest. Nobody wants parts from roulette tickets. We want money and lots of it. Get rid of $5000, $10,000 and $30,000. The spin should be for $100,000, $300,000, $500,000, $750,000 and $1,000,000. Gold bricks nothing less. Cars are nice too but only the good ones. Like maybe legendary cars.

Remember GTS ? Where the DW would give us a car EVERYTIME ? Oh yes we had a lot of doubles/triples and so on, and the chances to get a very nice car was slim. But it was much better than GT7's wheel of despair, spoutting poo 95% of the time.

Never played GTS. GT6 made promises and never delivered so I skipped GTS. The driving experience on GT7 is the best yet but it still falls short on almost everything else.

I agree with that , there's no reason any more to hide S parts for example in a 6 star ticket.
There's no reason of a 3 star ticket at level 50 .
And that invitation " crap " becames very annoying after a while.
I read for players that desperately wanted one and only invitation for months.
Back at gt6 , griding was pleasant and interesting through the seasonal races , now only 4 ( mostly 3 ) races over and over again .

Anyway , i think it's time for reconsidering that ticket roulette outcome .
Have no logic anymore to earn a 13.000 or similar price S part in a 6 star ticket that you already can buy it anytime you want .

Usually most of the ticket rewards are like a joke with a very bad " taste " , so bad some times that if you get something worthy, you start wondering if the " system" is broken or under a glitch contiton 🤣
I have no hopes for races with good payout but this ticket system reward its almost useless and most of the time , brings only frustration.

I don’t really race any single player unless I have to nor do I race Sport. It’s just online. Which is garbage payouts. Absolutely ruins the game in that sense. Very frustrating. We did like a 2hour race two sundays ago I think and you earn like $50,000-$70,000. Just brutal. That kind of money that much much time doesn’t really begin to add up at all.

Doesn't make the point of @sswishbone less vaild though.
You're talking to someone who has invested 5,000 hours into a live service game. I never intended to detract from his point, only to clarify the underlying cause of it and simply mention that PD had no control over Amazon's servers (metaphorically) catching fire.

This discussion is not one I want to take part in, so agree to disagree and have a great day.

Remember Destiny. I think I got it for Xmas, went to play it, I can’t? Weird. Oh if it’s hacked or simply taken offline there goes $80 lol. Wasn’t that great of a game anyway but a little eye opener. The odd outage I don’t mind, I have other games. But if it happens often then it can get frustrating and annoying. Like how call of duty updates so often, used to be worse. Boot it up, downloading update. Arrrgh not another one!

They do have control over ransoming "offline" gameplay behind a "forced online" entry key. Those 5000 hours will become absolutely worthless on the day the servers are shutdown.

Meanwhile, my copies of GT1, GT2 and GT4 all function perfectly fine between 18 and 26 years later.

Oddly enough, last night, racing, we just finished our race, boom, you’re offline. Wtf? Hope I at least got my money, guess we are done for the night. lol

in all honesty, most of the cars in GT7 could sound more raw. They’re much better than they’ve ever been but they lack that crisp raw exhaust tone. I noticed they sound a little better in chase view, too bad they don’t let us unroll the windows or something to get that raspier tone when in cockpit view. Some of them sound quite muffled and like it’s a hum versus raw unlimited power!! Lol
agreed!

About that non-existent Career thing. PD place effort in the whole Sport Mode series, but we don’t have that in World Tour.

Similar to Sport Mode, PC2 have this in Career:

Choose your Career path

Choose the series

Choose a vehicle-team sign a contract. Similar to Sport Mode

World Tour could literally mirror Sport Mode. We even have a choice to enter some time trials and races that give us a taste of the ”real” GT7 World Tour and/or Olympic events.
To add, there’s the Toyota GT Cup. Just tack that on the Championships, bottom of the World Circuits page. PD could add the latest Manu and Nations seasons once completed. This would allow players to revisit the previous season and replace it once the next season finishes.

One thing that becames very annoying are the red lines indicating the break areas .
First of all are huge and allover the track , in dark aereas sometimes you can't see where the track is going .
Doesn't have to be that huge for sure , the old gt6 had the line of track just red in the braking zone , now you have a red alert everywhere in these zones.
Ok i admit you don't have to use them , mark your braking spots ,etc. etc. etc.
Am not talking about how accurate they are or that are vanishing sometimes, it just the way they appear at every track.
It's hard to imagine that someone find it helpful or like the way they work.
Red lines allover the place , thank god they don't have and sound alert too.

Ok so if I want to host a lobby with say 5 different muscle cars all tuned to be competitive with each other but the performance points aren’t the same but my lap times are. Probably within 1 second or less.

How am I to regulate people from grabbing the lower pp cars and cranking them up to the pp Limit? They’re all fairly close in weight, same tires it the hp and and torque is different.

So what’s annoying is GT7 doesn’t let me host a lobby and garage for people to only choose from the selection of cars I’m allowing without them being able to tune.

I’ve got five that are all close but pp rating from highest to lowest is at least 40-50pp difference. Kind of lame in my opinion. Just like in online sport, people gravitate towards the fastest car when there’s a choice. People will always find a way to be the fastest in that regard. “I hate this car but it’s the fastest one”.

Just like in call of duty, one gun always comes out on top as THE choice to use.

Yeah, other than me just not having interest in Sport Mode, if there was an option to share cars from our garage, I would inch closer to hosting races.

It's annoying that the Showroom feature is locked to VR. There's no technical reason why a similar feature can't be implemented in the base game.

Instead all we can do is watch our cars spin on a microwave platter that can't even do a full rotation. At least let us freely rotate the camera ourselves? Or pick something other than Depression Grey as the background? Both are features buried in the livery editor, why can't the same be done in the garage?

Yes, we can load up a Scapes Movie but I want to see more than a 3 second glimpse of my car.

You can use livery editor to get around that. You will be able to rotate all around the car, zoom and so on.

Everytime I'm in qn online lobby and go to change ANYTHING my game freezes up and I have to close app and reset.
Whenever I want to drift a car that's FR but AWD I can't and the Torque vector leaves you with 5% of power to the front wheels, get rid of the 5% and you have a drift car (obviously with tuning and seat time).
Just add drivetrain swaps, so many cars have the potential to be really good drift cars or rally cars or whatever it is that your doing the doors would be flung open for builds. Don't even say " oh meta builds meta builds" yeah okay you say that while you stand next to your PIKES PEAK SWAPPED VW MK1. 😒
The game already has builds that I've even heard of or thought of. I did create a petition for Gran Turismo 7 to add in Drivetrain swaps I'll post down below

Electric boost still sound like spraying NOS. I guess because it get handled like nos the sf19/23 is still broken in lobby events wile using bop settings.
In GTsport it sounds like electric boost and bop is working…
In GTsport it says also overtake for the sf19 and since gt7 it is boost and bop didnt realice it is build in and handled it as a tuning part.
